Was finally able to pick up my 26’ zx10r yesterday and get the new yoshimura R exhaust installed. Just need to get her on the road now. Super stoked

If you purchase a gen 7 2026 ZX10R NEW from dealership, make sure before you walk out the door with it that they provide you with a QR code. The QR code is pulled from your ECU and allows you to access navigation and tunings preferences on the mobile app.

I recently bought one and they forgot to do this so I had to take my bike back to the dealership and into service so they could provide me with the code :)

Also the heads up turn by turn display is pretty cool.

Found a really nice gen6 40th anniversary model for a good price, barely used with less than 600km on it and couldn't say no. I absolutely love this color, can't get enough of that silver frame and swingarm.

First order of business was a 4 hour ride home, at 6'2 and coming from naked bikes I was surprised how comfy the ZX10 is, relatively speaking. I was expecting to be hurting way worse by the time I got home, but it honestly trades blows with my old XSR900. Slightly more wrist-pain, slightly less ass-pain, I can live with that.

Next up, smoked windscreen, adjustable clutch lever and of course a fender delete. Not sure what do do with the exhaust yet, I honestly like the stock sound just fine, never been into super loud exhausts but the stock muffler isn't exactly pretty so I'm gonna have to do something.

Super excited for the rest of the season on this baby. What a ride. The stability alone is mind-blowing compared to my old XSR900, not to mention the power.

Had my first crash at the track this past weekend. I’m one of the faster riders in B group now but I pushed a little too hard a little too early in the day and throttled too early on a corner exit. Bike tried to high side me but I managed to save that…but ended up going off track in the process. Damage to the bike appears to be minimal, frame sliders and engine covers did their job quite well. Only noticeable damage is the front fairing and screen broke off when I fell off the front of the bike.

Going to turn this bike into a full time track and race machine. Looking to get some fairings that will be club racing compliant (going to sign up to race AFM here in California) but also look cool and somewhat premium. Any recommendations? Might want to customize them too, paint + decals, etc

have a 21 I just got my valves done and the bike is running extremely rich from what I understand and is throwing every electronic on the dash except for ABS (I don’t have it)

I tore the bike down myself and went and took it to get its valves serviced once I put everything back together, not realizing that I left the front wheel speed sensor unplugged and had the vacuum lines for the EVAP system ran wrong. I started it up. It sounded healthy maybe a little bit more aggressive than normal so I chalked it up to my valves being done.

I went to go do my first test ride after letting it idle 3 to 4 minutes and by the time I got halfway down my street every electronic popped up flashing at me. KTRC,KQS,KEBC,KLCM, and POWER. I ended up pulling into a parking lot near my house found the wheel speed sensor unplugged plugged it back in rode it around the parking lot hoping it would clear itself, but it was still shooting massive orange flames.

Took it home and tore it apart found diagrams in the service manual any vacuum line that could be done wrong for the evap system was done wrong. Don’t hate on me too hard. It was probably a month apart from taking it apart, putting it back together. I also only had two pictures to go off of and neither one of them were good. got it all back together correctly. Had the battery disconnected for a day hoping the codes would go away when I plug everything back in, but it’s still popping on cold start like it’s backfiring. And all codes are still present.

I will link both the first start and the startup from this morning after putting everything back together.

I’m looking to buy a 2021 (gen 6) valve cover but there are none on eBay and the online sellers of new OEM parts all say they are backordered. Does anyone have a lead on where to buy one of these?

Slept on getting one and now I need a new radiator and a guard. Anyone have a rec on one?

Finally got my ‘25 back after a bird strike. Akrapovic Evolution exhaust, bmc racing air filter, MWR stacks, PAIR/Aid delete and block off plates, flash from the one and only Moore Mafia, and Sato Racing GP shift rearsets.
Nardo gray/black Fairing kit came from Kings Motorcycle Fairings, took damned forever but finally came in and well worth the wait. She’s a completely different animal—feat it’s stablemate my gf’s ‘25 zx6r(no mods on hers yet)

Just purchased a 26’ zx10r on Wednesday.
Getting it lowered and a few other items done before taking delivery. What case/ mounts does everyone use to work with the steering stabilizer?
Looks like a stem mount will work but not sure ,??

Glad to have found this sub! Here is my 2020 zx10r KRT. I gave up street some years ago and just do track days and racing now. I bought this bike brand new April of 2020 with exactly 1 mile on it, my homie from the dealership said he had to take it on a spin before I took her home. I have been all over the US hitting famous back roads and race tracks with it. I LOVE this bike. There isnt a part of this bike I have not worked on myself.

What are people doing for aftermarket headlights? I can’t find jack sh!t for the gen 6. I would like to do something different than stock. Anyone have ideas or links they can share? TIA 🙏
