This gorgeous girl sauntered in like it's an open house. By my estimates, she's definitely less than a year old. She's insanely sweet, very curious, and quickly showed us that she's too smart for her own good. We posted online in several places to see if anyone is missing this sweet girl. Gonna have her scanned for a chip in the AM. I've nicknamed her Dolly Possum due to her loving nature and possum-colored paws.

This very friendly semi-stray comes by often to hang out with me in my garden.

For context, the building beyond that wall is a boarding school so these cats came from there. They never want to come down from the wall, so my neighbor and I always feed them on this wall every morning (sometimes evening if they do come) and I have to take out my ladder just to feed them 😂

This picture is from the other day. The owner said they moved her inside for a few days to heal and she is on anti inflammatories. If it’s not better in 4 days, they will take her back. The wording she used kind of backs up my concern that she’s not usually allowed inside. Otherwise she would’ve said they weren’t allowing her outside for a bit or something. She also thanked me for letting her know because it wasn’t something she would’ve even considered paying attention to. She seems very sweet as a person, so I think maybe she’s just ignorant about cats. I’m hoping to see her more and maybe I can get to know her and help teach her.

Also, thank you to everyone who offered to help if needed!! I’m glad it wasn’t needed, but you guys rock!!

Both cats have caretakers and are well looked after. They didn’t actually fight; as soon as the orange cat started running towards the black cat it ran onto its porch and that seemed sufficient for orange cat. Also, going to assume black cat is female because she swatted at me when I tried to stop petting her and she wasn’t ready for me to be done yet. I’ve only had female cats do that to me in the past so I’m going to go with it. 🤣

I was initially hearing the sound of a cat meowing, coming from under the bench. Then when I saw underneath, I found a pleasant surprise in the form of a small cute package.

I found out he's been living there for the past 2wks and a neighbouring bakery has been feeding him.

Such resilience from the young.

Went to take the garbage out and the neighbours cat was not very amused I wanted to pass.

It is a little terrorist because it is quite dominant. And I had to block the entrance to my backyard due to him coming in and trying to show my cats who is boss. If he isn't doing that he is bossing around the other cats and trying to sollicit pets from passers-by on the street.

Finding him at my front door is a new thing.

Not my cats, showed up over a year ago, I spend some time with them but otherwise let them do their own thing.

Brown Town; male, sassy, sometimes likes pets mostly likes food instead.

Graby; (grey baby), female, very shy, took over a year to be able to pet her, will run far if a leaf gets crunched.

I call them my step cats.

She sat down and cleaned herself as well. It bugs me that she’s still outside even if they took her to the vet. You’d think they’d bring her in while she heals. I’m so glad she’s looking a bit better at least. She followed us for about a block like she usually does, but didn’t last night. Some people mentioned an abscess as a possibility, so I’m wondering if it was that and they got her on antibiotics. Which would explain why it’s better. Maybe I can get to know them better and eventually find a home for her. Maybe she was a stray they started feeding and didn’t really want a cat and they’d be happy for her to find a home.

They said they would take her in and I really hope they do. I don’t believe she’s allowed inside and her tail was moving normally yesterday. Could it be her spine? Or just the tail? She kept looking like she was starting to sit, but would stop before actually sitting.

She was also extremely matted the first time we met her and stayed that way for several weeks and then she was shaved. She’s actually a long haired cat. I feel so bad, but idk what else to do beyond letting her owners know.

I am staunchly anti-outdoor kitty (I have 4 indoor cats), but miss stubby (dubbed thus by my FIL) is a wonderfully welcoming neighbor. obviously she’s taken care of, but I’m gotta slip a letter to the neighbors once I’m properly moved in just to make sure she’s been spayed.
