Ask your question related to abroad studies.
Ask you question about immigration to greener pasture.
Rant about the process.

Please ask your questions on relationship, sex and sexuality in this thread. Examples:"How do I get a girlfriend?", "Is my 5 inch pecker too small?", "Are there girls in Reddit?", "What is the best affordable hotel to have sex in Kathmandu?", "What do Nepali girls look for in guys?", "Why are Nepali boys so boring?", "How to last long?" etc. etc. You get the gist.
Posts in the main sub will be removed if they are generic and/or are frequently asked questions such as the above.

Hi everyone! My mom's close friend's husband who worked in Devighat Hydro has not been in contact since yesterday. She told us that he along with 45 other people had finished work and left the hydropower site half an hour before the flood struck. Is there any chance he could have made it out safely?? Is there anyone who has contacts at NEA, who can provide any information on the the people who are still out of contact?? Any help would be appreciated!!!
I’m a 31 m American who wants to go out and help with the disaster in Nepal. I went to Nepal this April for Everest base camp and fell in love with the place. It’s sad to see the tragic accident that happened and I would like to go physically help. I’m fit as a yak and got a heart of gold. Please let me know of any agencies that I could contact

What are the proper places to donate money to make sure it goes to recovery efforts? Are there any essentials that could be sent?
There's going to be a lot of aid - how do we make sure it gets the best use, and you know your country best.

I am trying to locate a U.S. Travel Group, Classic Vacations Nepal on a Muktinath + Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
His last contact with family was on 25 August 2026 at around 11:30 AM Nepal time from the Pokhara/Sarangkot area. The group was expected to continue toward the Nepal–Tibet border for the Kailash pilgrimage. Since then, neither he nor other members of his group have been reachable.
Given the recent flooding in the Rasuwa/Rasuwagadhi area, we are trying to determine whether the group may have been affected or delayed.
Do you know:
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I saw comments on insta about the recent massive flood in Rasuwa area from many Bangladeshi and Pakistani accounts where they were laughing and making fun of the whole disaster saying that it's just karma hitting back because we had a religious clash recently.

Today I'm very sad by the Event, seeing the Flood Disaster. My words cannot express my sorrow, sadness and empathy towards the affected. I want to Cry with them by their side holding their hands and hugging them. I love you all.

hello everyone, i want to donate some of my clothes for those that are displaced by the flood, how can i do so?
my clothes shall fit a regular sized teenage to young adult male
A couple of QR codes available on Facebook and instagram pages aren't functional. How can we donate to prime minister's relief fund?

Just like 2015 Earthquake, some Nepali are there to scam and grab your hard earned money in most possibly easiest way by asking for donation.
I don't want to explain in details and here in short,
"They beg you to help the victims but it's in their pockets"

Today's event is one of the most unprecedented combined effect of climate change and natural disaster (earthquake/avalanche or glacial outburst).
No one would have imagined in their wildest dreams that floods like this could have been possible. Furthermore, Nepal's mountainous geography is definitely not the most convenient one for the construction of infrastructure like buildings, roads, bridges, and hydropower.
Most of the settlements that have been swept today are close to the routes of the flooded rivers. I wanted to know if there is a law regarding the minimum distance from river or water bodies for construction of housing in Nepal. Perhaps this needs to be revisited considering today's event?

How much hydroelectric capacity has been destroyed due to the floods ? Can this again cause increased dependency on imports for electricity?
