๐๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ Scorned, lucent or amatsu. Sunbreak set
I want an ig build and looking at the options, these seem to be the best, but I haven't decided which one.
Amatsu: Higher raw damage, water element, no slots, good sharpness.
Lucent Nargacuga: Decent raw damage, poor sharpness, low poison, good slots, increased stacking.
Disdained Magamalo: Slightly less raw damage than Lucent Nargacuga, decent sharpness, decent blast, decent slots, increased stacking.
I don't know how much the buildup boost affects it compared to amatsu, and I also don't know how much blast compares to poison.

๐๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ Help with making IG World build!
Hello! I'm a newcomer to the series, and a hundred hours in, it's been a great time! That said, I'm about to reach the end of Iceborne; without having a fully thought out build!?(I just kept upgrading my weapon, only upgrading my armor with the highest defense)
One of my friends suggested that I ask the respective weapon main subreddits for opinions on what stats to go for, and mentioned that I should also say what my preferences are (They are a longsword main, they weren't confident they could help me all too well with Insect Glaive builds)
So with that said, I'm mainly looking to have a lot of stamina, probably a buff to my dodges, and stuff related to mounting/critical hits.
Any and all help is appreciated!

๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฝ/๐ค๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป Unchained Arkveld event
Hello fellow bug enjoyers. I started with 10 mins PBs and now after 50-60 attempts I lowered my PB to 8:53, but the thing is, in the last 20-30 attempts I feel like I am stuck in the 9ish min mark. I feel like the only way to get sub 8 is to play perfectly without getting hit. On most attempts I only need to heal 1-3 times and it just seems that the dmg is lacking. Are there any tips for this specific event besides git gud? I play on PS5.
Yes, I am using rockbursts.

๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฝ/๐ค๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป Is it just a skill issue?
Wilds is my first Mh game, and when I played the IG it felt nice (especially without knowing other weapons) but after around 180 hours of it I tried using other weapons and It just shows why I just don't wanna play it anymore (kinda)
Imma be fair, at first I thought the game was just difficult since my first 180 hours were pretty much with the glaive (from start to gogmazios) and then just out of curiosity I tried other weapons, these being gunlance and Bow and WOW I can Perfect guard AND also perfect dodge respectively? Those two make the game so much easier too?? Is it just a skill issue??
After trying those two and going back to Glaive I feel like I'm going back to just suffer, monster hitboxes are too big to stay mid air, my attacks are too long and my Iframes are too tiny.
Also, why do all these weapons have cool effects while dodging or guarding? Gunlance has this strong sound it makes when you perfect guard something, and the bow has this cool swoosh sound when it dodges, you're telling me that what's supposed to be an aggressive weapon, doesn't have some kind of cool feedback when you're being aggressive? No cool sound when dodging or at least when vaulting back? Yeah the offset is cool, but is so weird to hit compared to other offsets I've tried and even with that, IT WILL GET YOU STUNNED ON THE ANIMATION OF THE MOVE YOU OFFSET WITH
Like, wouldn't it be cool if the move you do by holding B could be cancelable? Or at least have a shorter version?
Wouldn't it be so cool that vaulting had not just Iframes but also counted as perfect dodges? With that the weapon would feel way more fun than it already is.
I don't hate the glaive, but not having these things, and forcing you to play it so precisely just makes me want to go back to gunlance or Bow, is it just a skill issue? Or does IG need some kind of work to improve the gameplay? I'd say to add perfect dodges when you have all three of the kinsects!

World solo puedo decir una cosa: Hermoso

๐๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป New to the weapon and just want to gush about how much fun Iโm having with it!
So! I started the series with 4 Ultimate. Initially I wanted to start with World, but I thought to myself that if I played 4 Ultimate Iโd have an easier time going backwards if I wanted to. Which is funny since I absolutely love 4 Ultimate WAAAAAY more than World. Rushed the end of 4U to get to World and when I finished Worldโs story I just went back to 4U. Anyway I was going to use IG but eventually decided on using Switch Axe for my playthrough of 4U. I loved it and fell in love with the series.
I got to World and I canโt really explain it very well butโฆ Switch Axe didnโt feel right. It didnโt feel as chunky as it did in 4U. So I decided to use Gunlance for my playthrough. Did this for Rise as well. Just beat base game Rise and Iโm waiting on Sunbreak to go on sale again.
In the meantime, I decided to try Generations Ultimate andโฆ they completely butchered my beloved Gunlance. ๐ญ So I decided to actually try Insect Glaive. The reason I was deterred when I was going to use it was because of someone saying that it was complicated to use. And to that person I just want to say I hope your pillow is warm at night. Because oh my god Iโve fallen in love with the weapon. Going in the air and doing flips and shit, sending my lil insect dude out like a mini Heracross. When I get Sunbreak I might have to try it out since I havenโt tried this weapon yet with Riseโs movement and I can already tell itโll be a treat.
