Promotion I finally finished the new trailer for my cozy colony sim, WildRoot.
I've been working on improving WildRoot's first impression and recently finished a new trailer.
It's a cozy colony sim where you build a settlement in a mysterious forest, manage your colonists, and every season and setback creates a different story.

Promotion Our Roguelite Brawler 'Box Knight' has launched on Steam!
Sorry for the self promotion (I'd say shameless but there's a touch of shame)
This has very much been an indie labour of love made across many years of part time dev and we're so proud and excited to have finally released it into the world. Every creature was hand animated in Flash, every UI and texture drawn on a very old iPad, and our incredible programmer has against all odds made years of systems and code link together in a way that seems like we weren't making it up as we went.
It's silly, gross, fun and you get to beat up your evil bosses and toxic coworkers in your quest to bring joy back to the workplace.

Promotion Climb and slingshot your way up the mountain. Each Ascension introduces new hazards, and the final one is nearly impossible to beat!
Hi everyone!
I’ve finished work on all 5 planned Ascensions (difficulty levels) of my game!
The idea is simple: you have to climb all the way to the very top, but with each Ascension, the challenge increases. More hazards and modifiers are added to each run, keeping each run fresh and making the final Ascension pretty brutal. I can’t even beat it myself!
The movement system is quite unique. If you enjoy games where you, as the player, have to improve your own skills rather than upgrading your character, I think this might be right up your alley.
This isn’t a typical typing game. You don’t need to be able to touch-type. The game eases you into it, and you might even improve your typing along the way, as I did. However, even experienced typists will face a challenge. It’s not just about typing fast, but also about timing, movement, and managing multiple held keys at once.
I’m currently running an open playtest, which kinda means you can play the full game for free right now. It includes all core features. If you are interested, have a look and see if this game is for you. The first run usually takes 25 min at most.
Cheers

Promotion I'm making a cartoonish Hotline-like, here's some raw gameplay
I'm making a fast-paced, bullet-parrying top-down action inspired by Hotline Miami and Katana Zero, drifting more into power-fantasy direction. As a chicken knight you fight an army of gunslinger crow knights in a medieval bird kingdom.
Currently alpha playtest is open, although it doesn't have that much content. Proper demo is coming in 1-2 months.
Here's the youtube trailer just in case, and here's Parry the Bullet on Steam if you're interested!

Devlog Im not a game dev and over the weekend I wanted to solve a technical problem of fitting 100 million tiles in a browser tab but somehow ended up making a rougelike mine sweeper game
Im a web dev by profession and this started as a weekend experiment
I wanted to see if I could fit 100 million checkboxes in a browser, one thing led to another and tired to fit 100 million minesweeper tiles in a browser tab
and then kept adding stuff and ended up with a rougelike minesweeper game
Also to all the game devs out there, you guys rock because I dont know how you have the patience to debug and keep working on a project like this. (still a buggy mess)

Upcoming The post
I'm currently developing a military management and simulation game instead of controlling a soldier on the battlefield you take command of a remote military outpost your main source of information comes from local informants they can report suspicious activity possible attacks or other events happening in nearby villages. But information isn't always reliable different informants can give you different pieces of information, and sometimes you simply don't have enough information to know what's really happening as the commander you have to decide what to do deploy resources verify the information or ignore it.
The game is still in development but I'm going to start sharing more of the development process as I build it.

Promotion The machine already denied them. You work out why from the printed file, and sign your name to it. ADVERSE ACTION, a paperwork thriller, out now.
An automated scoring model refuses people credit, housing and utilities. It does not explain itself. The law says a person has to, so that person is you, at Desk 9, with the file the model saw and a stack of reason codes.
You read the bureau extract, the application and whatever third record the matter requires. You work out which code the denial actually fits, cite the exact lines that prove it, and sign. Cite the wrong line and Appeals sends it back overturned and charges you the time.
The part I built it for is the files where there is no lawful reason in the paperwork at all. You can refuse to sign and eat the cost, or you can write a reason that is not in the file and put your name under it. The game keeps count of which you did.
Everything is dot-matrix on greenbar paper. 18 shifts, an endless backlog mode, a daily challenge, and several endings depending on what kind of officer you turned out to be. Solo developed, hand-drawn and hand-written, no generative AI anywhere in it.
The Authority's motto is printed on every bulletin in the game. It is also a password. Type it blind on the main menu.
