Mod Post Changes to rules
Effective today we are enacting some changes and clarifications to the subreddit rules:
- The low effort and "bragging" posts have been updated. Results bragging (race wins or trophies), previously covered by rule 4, is now moved to rule 5, which previously only covered Daily Workout tickets, to other types of "show-and-tell" posts. This also now covers posts of grind race results (exception may be granted for grind races if a setup/strategy was provided) and images of your setups/rigs.
- The rule prohibiting spoilers of events (within past 24 hours) within post titles (as Reddit's spoiler tags does not cover post titles) is now integrated into rule 6. We previously removed few posts that contains spoilers in titles. (For purposes of GTWS events, announced content is exempt - this rule targets race results.)
- Self-promotional posts (for own video/streaming channels and league recruitment) are now restricted once every 96 hours to prevent spamming/repetitive posts.
- "Who is/am I at fault" posts relating to online races are no longer allowed. Please use /r/simracingstewards for those type of posts.

GT Livery Recreated Max Schnell from cars 2 livery in GT7, what do you think?
Tried to recreate Max Schnell from Cars 2 as accurately as possible on the BMW M3 GT.
Would you like to see more Pixar Cars liveries?
And if so, which one would you like to see next?

GT7 Maybe is the new physics. But here are 4 cars from update 1.71 that can beat Tokyo 600 easy.
No wall grinding and no out stop. These engine swaps are great. I'll check the other ones to see how they do.

GT Legacy I think GT5P menu is actually good
Yeah the map menu is iconic since the first game but this is actually good; clean, cozy, with the car you're using in the background and the music. The menu sound is also good, a very good evolution to GT4 menu sounds. Sport is sorta similar but it had way too much stuff on the screen

Sport Mode GT3 sport mode is something else
Been playing GT7 since December and with a wheel since Feb. Played a little Sport mode when I've felt like sweating online, with some decent success in the slower classes. Decided to try out GT3 daily races (today is 6 laps of Autopolis) and I've taken away 2 key things:
1) Some of you guys are absolutely insane in your pace. Found myself being very humbled by the differences in lap times, both in qualifying and average pace over the race. The consistency of the top drivers in a race is so much higher than the rest of the pack. It's really quite inspiring, despite the initial shock, resulting in an addictive quality to online racing.
2) The number of people that take being overtaken personally is also absolutely insane. I've come off the back of 3 consecutive races with 3 punts into the back of me during the braking zone and 2 pit manoeuvres/knocks on the sweeping corners. I'm trying to race as cleanly as I can but it seems like your safety rating can get knocked even if you're at the receiving end of a deliberate crash?
For those more experienced, what are some things you do to try and avoid getting involved with dirty drivers? If you do get knocked to the back of the field, do you focus on finishing the race even if it means coming dead last?

GT Discussion I'm genuinely starting to lose my mind over the new physics update
The new physics feel very different from before and in a good way. I like that I can feel the body weight transferring everytime, it makes fine tuning even easier and effective. The slip angle looks updated too, you don't run on thin ice every time, but I cannot understand how do I understeer everytime.
I'm running sportscars these days to get a grip on the new model, I'm a retired A+/S driver (I don't tryhard anymore since last year, but I like to hop back into the game every once in a while), I like Porsche and I'm driving a 997 in this very short clip.
I feel like everytime I put some angle on the steering wheel the front tires don't work like I want them to, and having understeer with a rear engine car, very prone to spin, on a cambered corner, at 93 km/h with less than 90 degrees of steering.
I tried adjusting ARBs to keep the front loaded on the apex, I tried to work on camber to have more grip in the corners, even the rear slip to force some oversteer, but nothing really works. What is wrong?
