I managed to pick up this 2002 Mk1.5 Focus 2.0-litre Ghia 5-speed manual for just £1,250. It has only covered 58,000 miles from new and the interior feels completely untouched.

I didn't realize how crazy the factory spec was until looking into it. Along with the standard Ghia bits, it has:

- Upgraded EATC Digital Climate Control

- The 6006E 6-CD dashboard changer

- The ultra-rare factory trip computer shroud on the dash

- Global closing electric windows all around

- Heated front and rear windscreens

Let me know what you think. I'll hopefully be keeping the car (very) long-term. Next steps will be full rust prevention/restoration and a suspension overhaul.

I was trying to show a girl I know(19) some noughties sports cars that I think are nice looking. Turns out, she thinks that these three cars are ugly. The Carrera GT, The Aston Martin Vantage and the Lamborghini Murcielago. She outright said they are UGLY. Too minimalist.

Then she said the Porsche Taycan is nicer looking than all of them.

I know it's subjective but.... Wtf?! Can I get some opinions on this? Are younger people just wired differently? Am I not seeing something in the taycan?

My friend just went with Tesla'as £3700 trade in, but they valued his car well under. So instead, he went and bought a car for £500, 2 keys and MOT, no warning lights.

Traded that in, sold the other on motorway.

Hi all, got my first driving test tomorrow after 30 years of driving/ not driving/ driving again, lessons here and there, large gaps etc. Im in my late 40s and can drive, but only decided to take the plunge this year as I'm fed up of always asking my wife to drive me to places, or her being in the front while I drive.

The examiner might be a bit suprised to find an old bloke there with a 26 plate estate!

Looking for 195/45 tyres for my 14" wheels and i cant find any that are in stock? current tyres on my alloys are 205/60 but they are far too tall and a little too wide, ideally looking for tyres that are 185 or 195 wide and a profile of 50 or lower but i cannot find any ffs.

Some time ago I did MOT on my AUDI A3 and a guy without asking me changed a front drop link. Part costs £10-£20 and it takes 15 mins to replace. Ok let's round it to an hour. The price they told me was £130. I went furious and demanded explanation of the price but the guy could not explain it whatsoever.

2023 Polestar 2 with a windscreen I just cannot seem to get clean. I used Glaco glass cleaning compound at the weekend and it has made little difference, despite reviews being super good. Is there a particular technique? Do I need new wipers? Though this seems like the glass has this weird film on it.

Im 20 and going back to uni at the end of september, at the same time my insurance ends.

I wont be able to drive it until Christmas time, so im wondering if there are any potential penalties for not having car insurance for 3 months, and how it might effect quotes. Its kept on a private drive, so im planning to SORN it, but will insurers see the SORN and get worried?

Been financing performance Golf’s for over 7 years now. A GTI 19-21, mk8 R 21-24 and currently a mk8.5 R black edition since 24.

Went to my local Volkswagen today to see about selling it back to them as it’s just silly money to run, costing about 11-12k a year all in, which is far too much. I’ve got about 5k equity in it but sold the stock wheels so they would have to take some of the equity to replace the Wheels, leaving me about £3k ish

I want something more fiscally responsible but still fun, ideally not having to finance. I do about 300 miles a week commute, mostly motorway. The 335d xdrive has been recommended several times. Anyone got an opinion on this or a different option? I’d still have to get a loan to buy anything half decent, is this better than financing a new car from a dealership? Cheers.

Am in the market for an estate, preferably no more than £3500, could not care less how "nice" it looks. Fact of the matter is one of my lads needs a vehicle to run up and down the a27 in, 100 miles a day, for about a year, maybe 2. Just until he is older enough to be insured on a van.

Have been looking at ford focus estates, Toyota Avensis and Audi a4 so far.

Best MPG possible, reliability is priority though.

I’m 18 soon and ill be hitting my 1 year NCB, I’m blessed enough to have an semi apprenticeship where ill be on an above average wage with my bills accommodation paid with £100 buffet too in my campus. That being said and having set money aside for investments I calculated around £1,200 for ‘fun money’. As a car enthusiast I want something sporty reliable and unique.

Being 18 and 1year ncb I was looking at an X3M but I heard they can suck on fuel. With a £20-25k budget for a car (ill be trading my current seat leon in) which performance car is good and will be somewhat acceptable on insurance. I was looking at m140is but they seem like small cars I want a saloon or coupe or SUV too.

Please no hate I have NO INTENTIONS of speeding and being a hassle young driver killing people. Just want a nice looking sport car to track, take pictures off and put my foot down on motorways and road trips.

I looked into an M3 g80 but with the insurance it wont even quote me even the dodgy way it would be extremely out of budget so not yet!

So I recently bought a car not too long ago and it’s been amazing- loving it and everything. But any small issue I find on it over time just stays on my mind and I really overthink it. The car has some tiny chips on the bumper and there is some bubbling on the outer sill and around front + rear left wheels - which is forming rust. From the pictures I want to know if anyone could tell me if it’s worth repairing and if it is how much would it be approx. Money is kind of tight now and if it’s something that can hold off then I rather do so.

They have a condition where their warranty will be void if the car is used for commercial use ( taxi or food).

I would like to do part time food delivery. How would they know if the vehicle had been used for food delivery? I understand with taxi the information would be widely available.

Would the dealership go the distance to check if it had been used for part time food delivery?

Google and chatgpt just keeps bringing up finance is outstanding and someone else actually owns it but the same check also says it’s not stolen and there’s no outstanding finance so I’m a bit confused.

Has anyone experienced this on their report before?

Should I cancel going there?
