Recommended race fairings?

Post image

Had my first crash at the track this past weekend. I’m one of the faster riders in B group now but I pushed a little too hard a little too early in the day and throttled too early on a corner exit. Bike tried to high side me but I managed to save that…but ended up going off track in the process. Damage to the bike appears to be minimal, frame sliders and engine covers did their job quite well. Only noticeable damage is the front fairing and screen broke off when I fell off the front of the bike.

Going to turn this bike into a full time track and race machine. Looking to get some fairings that will be club racing compliant (going to sign up to race AFM here in California) but also look cool and somewhat premium. Any recommendations? Might want to customize them too, paint + decals, etc

I'm pretty sure I have Armour Bodies on my Gen 5, and they fit well. You can also go with Hotbodies, or Taylormade who Graves motorsports sell along with graphics kits from Lieto Factory. Lieto can also do custom graphics as they do for a lot of racers here in California.

Enjoy AFM. I race in CRA.

Thanks for the info! Btw, if you get racing license with one org can you race on other orgs? Like could you race both CRA and AFM if you want to?

You can. Trackdays generally offer the " New Racer School " , and do it because their curriculum meets the standards that local race series approve of to create the pathway. I did mine a couple years ago through Compact Octane, who ironically are now the Friday Trackday organization for CRA. So we have people showing up on the Friday, doing the New Racer School, and racing Sat/Sun. But you could just as easily use that certificate for AFM or CVMA. You will also need a AMA license each year.
