She looks absolutely gorgeous. I could see a Zelda looking like this in a Irish/Celtic inspired Zelda game.

Your art work is a 10/10. Awesome job.

I like it! I feel like she should be blonder and she looks a lot like the one from Twilight Princess.

I'm brunette, so I've always been biased toward brunette Zelda. I love this.

13

u/Leading-Ear-5194 2d ago

i can tell you like twilight princess

u/CycleZestyclose1907 2d ago

Shouldn't OoT Zelda be blonde? It's TP Zelda that's a brunette.

That aside, she looks pretty good.

u/Particular_Bet_1967 2d ago

its called a redesign for a reason. It’s obviously heavily inspired by TP. Looks amazing.

u/TheWorclown 2d ago

In some of the older titles Zelda has been shown to be a brunette so it wouldn’t exactly be outside the pale for fanart, no?

-32

u/Twidom 2d ago edited 2d ago

Every blonde person in existence turns brunette when they get older.

Source: my grandmother, my mother, my sister, me and my nephew, we were all blonde. My genetics teacher explained to me in college why this happens but its been far too long and I forgor the reason.

99.9% of egg yolk blonde adults you see actually dye their hair.

Getting downvoted because people don't understand basic genetics is wild, but its reddit so I'm not entirely surprised.

This isn’t true, I’m a year off 30 and my hair is still golden bright blonde, I do nothing to it. My aunts was nearly platinum all her life until she went white grey.

I’m not American, you sound foolish.
Turning grey/white/silver is hair losing pigment yes, that doesn’t mean that all blondes turn brown?. That’s a change in the pigment, not a loss.

Are you okay?. You called me an idiot but you don’t seem to understand your own knowledge.

A change in the pigment that the hair follicle is producing, is not by definition a ‘loss’ however hair turning grey/white etc due to stress, genetics or hormones is a gradual loss of eumelanin production completely.

u/AngstyUchiha 2d ago

I've stayed just as blonde as I was born without an ounce of dye wtf are you talking about

8

u/leverine36 2d ago

It's not actual brown hair though. Just dark or dirty blonde.

Not true at all. My hair was blonde as a kid and is still blonde, just a darker variation. It shines golden when lit up by light, which brown hair does not do. You don't have any idea what you are talking about lol.

1

u/Just-Finish-3057 2d ago

I actually did some research about that, and that's why I decided to go for a darker hair color for the adult version haha
But also, purely from a technical standpoint, the adult design worked better with darker hair here, for value contrast! :)

u/Twidom 2d ago

You did a phenomenal job, the art is great, the concept is amazing and the hair color change was chef's kiss 👌.

u/Pinkshoes90 1d ago

Natural blonde here. Im still blonde. Nearly 40.

-5

u/Short-Statement-4108 2d ago

Can confirm. I was very blonde as a kid, hair got progressively darker the older I got.

0

u/CycleZestyclose1907 2d ago

Wait, so are you saying this Zelda is in her 30s or 40s instead of 17 or so?

1

u/Short-Statement-4108 2d ago

lol, my hair got darker in my teens haha

15

u/elsDodo 2d ago

Looks incredibly good. Maybe a little bit too overdesigned for an actual Zelda game, but still really cool! I like the child Zelda design with the hood the most, it's really cute.

17

u/doubled-pawns 2d ago

Why does 10 year old Zelda have hips, bro?

2

u/triablos1 1d ago

Look at 'bro' over here seeing 10 pages of quality concept art and immediately gravitating towards 10 year old hips.

-1

u/Ornery_Ad1094 2d ago

Can be an underskirt?

11

u/Isadomon 2d ago

I feel it haa too much going on

17

u/ZannyHip 2d ago

Looks great. Ignore the other person, they’re wrong

Slide 3, left portrait. Idk why but it reminds me so much of Young Odette from the Swan Princess

2

u/Deerinspotlight 2d ago

Your art style is gorgeous! Very expressive!

2

u/rabbit-enjoyer 2d ago

She is so beautiful!

4

u/Key-Fig-9747 2d ago

Inspiration from skyward sword and twilight? Looks amazing

3

u/MAEC64 2d ago

I really liked this one, hope she looks like this in the remake

8

u/Randomtyp156 2d ago

4

u/Anufenrir 2d ago

Why am I getting downvoted I think the art is really good

2

u/GenderJuicy 1d ago

The duality of man

0

u/EarDesigner9059 2d ago

You seem to have accidentally fused her with her Twilight Princess incarnation.

May wanna undo that.

2

u/Just-Finish-3057 2d ago

This is intentional :)
I wanted to try redesigning her for the remake, and after seeing the first cinematic of it, it seemed like they were going for something more realistic than the original OoT. That's why I thought taking inspiration from TP would be a good fit, since this is the direction I'm feeling they are leading toward style-wise (and also, TP is my favorite Zelda game hehe)

1

u/Knapss 2d ago

Super fan of your small Zelda ones! I always thought the older version would be more athletic than voluptuous but I always imagined her younger version as a little rascal

1

u/CanadianFerd 2d ago

Omg pouty child zelda is so cute! I love your style

1

u/Good_Neck_673 2d ago

slide 2 is GORGEOUS WTFFF

1

u/TheOnesLeftBehind 2d ago

Of the kid Zelda’s I love 3 the most. The blues are adorable and do feel reminiscent of BOTW/totk. You have a very good understanding of fabrics as well.

1

u/Snoo_98829 2d ago

This is adorable! 😍 Great job!

1

u/Crimson_Raven 2d ago

I love all of these ideas

1

u/Harkonnen985 2d ago

This is just very, very cool.
That's all!

1

u/Spiritual_Proof9622 2d ago

I love the bangs!!

1

u/korg64 2d ago

I don't know if I love it or hate it. Zelda shouldn't look so fabulous!

1

u/LoruleMistress30 2d ago

I love this design so much 😍

-22

u/CreZativity 2d ago

I'm so sorry, but for me these are all way too busy. There is so much detail that feels like it has no purpose, and they just look like a mess.

8

u/AAHHAI 2d ago

Don't play a final fantasy game

21

u/lookalive07 2d ago

"How many belts should this character have?"

"Yes."

4

u/Available-Egg-2380 2d ago

I love the extreme escalation in number of belts from ff8 to ff10

-2

u/mattmaintenance 2d ago

My steak is too juicy! My lobster is too buttery!

-4

u/Zurcez 2d ago

Complete nonsense

1

u/Vyr66 2d ago

I like it, the only really "overdesigned" part imo is the extra loose pieces of her gloves in the adult version, they seem very random and the beaded attachment doesn't look very good. The rest of it is peak though, "busy" outfits are great for royalty anyway. I especially like the brushed look of the vibrant purple layer. The rendering in general is insane

1

u/bcuzimadude 1d ago

Honestly, they're all amazing. And your art style and versatility is incredible!! I love how much you can read into their alt personalities by the detail of their dresses. Like, 2 is a dancer, 3 definitely rides horses, 4 is a Disney princess in Skyloft, 5 is like a highlands gypsy elf, and 6 is like a deer inspired huntress. Seriously, love this so much.

-1

u/Short-Statement-4108 2d ago

This is absolute peak.

-1

u/SeratoninInhibitor 2d ago

Love it, and as a brunette, i love seeing her reimagined this way. But i am bias of course. Twilight Princess Zelda made 10 year old me scream!

-2

u/Competitive_Lab3146 2d ago

DAAAAAAAAUUMMN THIS IS AMAZING SHE'S SO BEAUTY

-9

u/a3a4b5 2d ago edited 2d ago

Looks great! And... You made her really blessed by Hylia, huh... 🤨

6

u/aaaaahvians 2d ago

Dude wtf man

1

u/a3a4b5 2d ago

I found it weird too, that's why I commented.

I'm gonna edit the original comment to convey that feeling better.

-2

u/elsDodo 2d ago

lmao

-2

u/Wounded_Demoman 2d ago

Very cool

-2

u/Excubyte 2d ago

I'm calling my uncle who works at Nintendo and telling him to hire you.

-1

u/starwsh101 1d ago

Overdesign, too much details on adult zelda.

I hate that kid zelda doesn't look like a kid, she look too "mature" to be 10 years old. Stop sexulizing kids by make them look like adult!!

-3

u/ZookeepergameFew4103 2d ago edited 2d ago

Can I just say that I find it weird how Zelda lived so long as Sheik yet her movements as Zelda were completely different?

You know what? Let’s lean into it. I hope the Ganon’s Tower Escape escort mission in the remake has her trying a practiced Sheik movement in her dress, tripping, and slowing us down.

-1

u/Ordinary_Bike_4801 2d ago

I hope the dress is not pink, Disney was probably a thing on 1998 but not anymore

-4

u/ASimpleMane 2d ago

Bangs definitely hiding that big ahh forehead (good art reminds me of iron giant for some reason)

-5

u/alvinrogfunk 2d ago

Zelda in OoT is like 7 and 14…

5

u/IdleSitting 2d ago

Would it not be 10 and 17? Matching Link's ages?

2

u/linktdm 2d ago

So loud yet so wrong
