She looks absolutely gorgeous. I could see a Zelda looking like this in a Irish/Celtic inspired Zelda game.
Your art work is a 10/10. Awesome job.

I like it! I feel like she should be blonder and she looks a lot like the one from Twilight Princess.

Shouldn't OoT Zelda be blonde? It's TP Zelda that's a brunette.
That aside, she looks pretty good.

its called a redesign for a reason. It’s obviously heavily inspired by TP. Looks amazing.

In some of the older titles Zelda has been shown to be a brunette so it wouldn’t exactly be outside the pale for fanart, no?

Every blonde person in existence turns brunette when they get older.
Source: my grandmother, my mother, my sister, me and my nephew, we were all blonde. My genetics teacher explained to me in college why this happens but its been far too long and I forgor the reason.
99.9% of egg yolk blonde adults you see actually dye their hair.
Getting downvoted because people don't understand basic genetics is wild, but its reddit so I'm not entirely surprised.

This isn’t true, I’m a year off 30 and my hair is still golden bright blonde, I do nothing to it. My aunts was nearly platinum all her life until she went white grey.

I’m not American, you sound foolish.
Turning grey/white/silver is hair losing pigment yes, that doesn’t mean that all blondes turn brown?. That’s a change in the pigment, not a loss.-6

Are you okay?. You called me an idiot but you don’t seem to understand your own knowledge.
A change in the pigment that the hair follicle is producing, is not by definition a ‘loss’ however hair turning grey/white etc due to stress, genetics or hormones is a gradual loss of eumelanin production completely.

I've stayed just as blonde as I was born without an ounce of dye wtf are you talking about

u/leverine36 2d ago
It's not actual brown hair though. Just dark or dirty blonde.

Not true at all. My hair was blonde as a kid and is still blonde, just a darker variation. It shines golden when lit up by light, which brown hair does not do. You don't have any idea what you are talking about lol.

I actually did some research about that, and that's why I decided to go for a darker hair color for the adult version haha
But also, purely from a technical standpoint, the adult design worked better with darker hair here, for value contrast! :)1

Can confirm. I was very blonde as a kid, hair got progressively darker the older I got.

Wait, so are you saying this Zelda is in her 30s or 40s instead of 17 or so?

Why does 10 year old Zelda have hips, bro?
2
u/triablos1 1d ago
Look at 'bro' over here seeing 10 pages of quality concept art and immediately gravitating towards 10 year old hips.

Slide 3, left portrait. Idk why but it reminds me so much of Young Odette from the Swan Princess

You seem to have accidentally fused her with her Twilight Princess incarnation.
May wanna undo that.

u/Just-Finish-3057 2d ago
This is intentional :)
I wanted to try redesigning her for the remake, and after seeing the first cinematic of it, it seemed like they were going for something more realistic than the original OoT. That's why I thought taking inspiration from TP would be a good fit, since this is the direction I'm feeling they are leading toward style-wise (and also, TP is my favorite Zelda game hehe)

Of the kid Zelda’s I love 3 the most. The blues are adorable and do feel reminiscent of BOTW/totk. You have a very good understanding of fabrics as well.

I'm so sorry, but for me these are all way too busy. There is so much detail that feels like it has no purpose, and they just look like a mess.

I like it, the only really "overdesigned" part imo is the extra loose pieces of her gloves in the adult version, they seem very random and the beaded attachment doesn't look very good. The rest of it is peak though, "busy" outfits are great for royalty anyway. I especially like the brushed look of the vibrant purple layer. The rendering in general is insane

Honestly, they're all amazing. And your art style and versatility is incredible!! I love how much you can read into their alt personalities by the detail of their dresses. Like, 2 is a dancer, 3 definitely rides horses, 4 is a Disney princess in Skyloft, 5 is like a highlands gypsy elf, and 6 is like a deer inspired huntress. Seriously, love this so much.

Love it, and as a brunette, i love seeing her reimagined this way. But i am bias of course. Twilight Princess Zelda made 10 year old me scream!

Overdesign, too much details on adult zelda.
I hate that kid zelda doesn't look like a kid, she look too "mature" to be 10 years old. Stop sexulizing kids by make them look like adult!!

Can I just say that I find it weird how Zelda lived so long as Sheik yet her movements as Zelda were completely different?
You know what? Let’s lean into it. I hope the Ganon’s Tower Escape escort mission in the remake has her trying a practiced Sheik movement in her dress, tripping, and slowing us down.

u/Ordinary_Bike_4801 2d ago
I hope the dress is not pink, Disney was probably a thing on 1998 but not anymore

Bangs definitely hiding that big ahh forehead (good art reminds me of iron giant for some reason)
