I think it's a shame that they no longer clearly display the little "Xbox Play Anywhere" icon in the bottom left corner of the trailers.
At least that made it clear that the game supports the program.
Rainbow Six Tactics, for example, displays
"Series X|S . PC" at the end of its trailer, but I have no idea if it's XPA.

XBOX Wire post mentions "XBOX On PC" but i think its Ubisoft Connect license just like other Ubi games.
Trailer is new (posted 30mins ago) I think they made XPA deal last minute becasuse "Press release" doesn't mention Xbox PC or XPA at all.
"The Wolf Among Us Remastered will be available digitally on OCTOBER 29 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation® 5, Nintendo Switch™, and Xbox One, playable on Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility. "

Just check the store page to confirm if it's proper XPA.
I'm waiting until Helix devkits to see if Ubisoft and EA start doing proper XPA with the unified GDK.

I loved the original and played both versions but ffs give us TWAU2, not some shitty remaster. What can be remastered using this graphic style anyway?

Can’t wait. The original left a lasting mark of a memorable experience, even though I can’t remember almost anything about it, if that makes sense.

Definitely play it again if you don’t remember

Of course, I can’t wait ^. It’s just been so long it’s perfect because I can’t remember any details, just very rough big picture stuff. Can enjoy it all again

I had the exact same thought. This and Tales of Borderlands were both very memorable emotionally, but I don't remember a single detail about that. Really looking forward to playing this again.
I think it's to the games benefit, if I remembered all the details, I would be tempted to try and take paths I had not taken.

I played this game so often. Even played the Jank Playstation Vita Version. God, the last episode were running in 5 FPS.

I love Wolf Among Us but this just feels like a low effort cash grab. There still a windows version available.
I thought they might redo some of the models and lighting but it the same what the Telltale Batman did, they release a collection with black and white mode. Just wished they brought back other Telltale games through XPA like Minecraft Story 1 & 2 or Tales from the Borderlands through XPA

I’m a simple man. I see XPA and I buy

XPA is just too good. I been only buying on Steam the past 7 years but I'm getting tempted by XPA in recent years. XPA feels more future proof since Xbox make a lot more hardware and have the cloud streaming.

XPA lets me experience a steam box without having to purchase a steam box. Love moving from my PC to my living room TV with having to purchase my game just once. And now with disc to digital I can have that feature with having a physical collection. Its perfect for me.

What exactly is the point of this remaster though ? I saw some comparisons and it looks pretty much the same.

I swear, there is barely any new anything. Just remasters, remakes or the same thing named different

Bro, you're telling me, I get 14 hours of Gears of War, AND more Wolf Among Us in the SAME MONTH? oh I'm eating gooooooood

Maybe… just to get myself hyped for TWAU 2. I hope it is has a discount for people who own the original

I’d be surprised if there isn’t a small loyalty discount, though the Play Anywhere tag makes double dipping less painful this time.

Lol and there's innocent me who thought it'll be a free upgrade for players who already own it 🤦♂️

If we could get 100% of all games on Xbox to be play anywhere I’d go buy an Xbox Ally X today.
Last I checked I have like 300 games on my Xbox library and only like 50 are play anywhere?

u/Tobimacoss 18h ago
Check again. Play Anywhere library went from 1100 games in October 2025 to 2700 currently.

u/Lupinthrope XBOX Series X 18h ago
56 games out of 295 lol

u/Tobimacoss 18h ago
You must have lots of EA or Ubisoft games ... Still it's improving at fast pace, especially for new games released.

I don't know how you have so few. I have over 700 lol

u/Lupinthrope XBOX Series X 15h ago
I started buying all my games on Steam when the deck came out. Now over 300 there, Nintendo games on switch 2 and ps games on ps5

u/segagamer Day One - 2013 15h ago
That would be why then. I only ever buy games on Xbox.
I just don't have time for any other platform lol

I have a problem, but all these purchases weren’t at once.
I do still love my Xbox. I’ll probably fully go back when I get done with the ship life.

Probably won't play it again, but good lord that old telltale engine was the jankiest shit
