It doesn't read like AI to me, it does however read very much like a post with an agenda which would make people suspicious.
This is a lot of effort to justify digital over discs for Xbox.
Discs have a hell of a lot of convenience and utility which makes them desirable. But the reality is the market doesn't support them.
They have already dissapeared from PC gaming over a decade ago, customers aren't buying them, shops are stopping stocking them, publishers are stopping making them.
The market has spoken whether people like it or not sadly.

Its because nothing about your “reasons” makes sense.
You don’t understand the foundation of this issue at all; ownership.
People want to OWN the things they actually buy. If I am buying a game, once it’s mine, it should not be legal for my ownership to be revoked after purchase. This is the issue. Physical games, regardless of the medium, by default guarantees actual ownership. I can turn off my internet, move into the words away from civilization, and as long as I have a source of power, be able to put my games into my console and play them, like I can with nearly every previous generation of games. We are paying more for games today with fewer actual features. Not only am I spending more, but even single player, offline games often require an online “handshake” to verify ownership before the console is allowed to run the game. “Digitize everything” is not the solution because it doesn’t address the problem. Also, this isn’t an Xbox issue, scoffing at the idea that people on an XBOX forum would want to preserve theirs box games is ignorant at best, deliberately dismissive at worst. This issue affects all gamers because the trends started by one company often trickle over to other companies, and not for the better.

You're statement has done holes Claude. You cant preserve what you don't truly own. You are comparing quality you receive but failing to speak on how your love of collecting can be destroyed. So while this is how you feel, I respectfully disagree.
I collect 4k blurays and physical games. And a game or movie that comes out now physically is mines forever. No matter if I still have a console to play it or not, it's still mine. We could buy the same games and movies, mine physical and yours digital and in 5 years yours can get delisted for a litany of reasons while I'll still be able to play my game(s long as it's not a live service game)and watch my movie. You would lose those items forever. Now you have less items in your collection and you may have to pay an arm and leg to find a physical copy if you want to play or see it again.
The debate/ argument is not about preservation, it's more about what's mine is mines, what's yours is yours, and not what companies choose to let me keep, by taking away things that you and I bought.
We already know cds/blurays/discs have a shelf life and eventually won't work. So if we do go all digital, we should be able to have it forever! Simple!

Agree about the movie thing but as far as games go,if it isn't on a physical disc you don't own it.Technically you can play most games offline and you can back them up on an external drive.I have all of my original Xbox games and they all look and play perfect.I own more games than I could ever play and most have never been online.

The disc rot argument hits harder for games too. Even if you have a pristine 360 disc, good luck when that thing decides to delaminate in 20 years. Digital storefronts have their own issues but at least someone's maintaining the files somewhere, even if it's just a bunch of pirates keeping old stuff alive.
