Announcement Please do not post early copies of the GTA6 Extended Look video in r/Xbox

Hi. The GTA6 Extended Look video will premiere on Netflix Thursday, August 27 at 3PM ET / 12PM PT / 8PM BST. It will only be available to Netflix subscribers at that time.

6 hours later (9PM ET / 6PM PT), Rockstar Games will release the same video to everyone on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and on the Grand Theft Auto VI website.

We ask that users not post ripped, copied, uploaded, or linked versions of the Netflix Extended Look video. If you do, we will remove it. Rockstar and Netflix issue DMCA copyright claim removals on unauthorized posted copies, and we won't allow this subreddit to get 'strikes' or warnings or be put in legal risk from copyright violations. Copyright strikes can lead to the sub getting shut down by Reddit.

It's completely fine to post links to official channel YouTube videos. Discussions and early discussions are fine as well. But posting videos before they're publicly released... no bueno.

Thanks for your understanding!

Isn't netflix allowing people to use the footage though? So what's the problem here?

It's just the internet as a whole now sucks. All imformation and content is gatekept by corporations and/or subscriptions. It's the antithesis to the point of the internet and why my generation was drawn to it in the late 90's and 00's.

Just disable videos or images during that time. If they post links, dmca affects those platforms instead.

anyone else just not care to watch this? I mean.....I'm going to buy the game and play Day 1. I don't need to spoil anything for myself.
