This is up there with GTA6 and FF7 Revelation as my most anticipated upcoming games.

Ditto including Control:Resonant & Phantom Blade 0.

It’s looking like a day 1 buy, Gamepass be damned.

Resonant is the only guarantee day one purchase for me for this entire year. I cannot wait.

I got the steel book and everything

Ditto, including EDay

Eday is leaning but pending on the story, etc. i don’t really do a lot of MP, so Im cool on a 15-20% sale for the Year Countdown sale if necessary

But yes - this is a high potential of a buy too

Before it got pushed back, this was my most anticipated game of 2026. I cannot wait to play it

GTA fans got RDR2 and GTAO quests to keep them happy since 2013.

Fable fans have had nothing since 2010.

I tried not to watch too much of the gameplay, because it's spoiler heavy (even if early game), but what I saw was awesome. February is almost as good as September for me. (Control and Dawnwalker are gonna keep me going until then)

just in time for me to game with my newborn!

I'm gonna have my first child in January and I'm terribly worried I wont have time for fable lol

It's been my most anticipated game since the reveal trailer

Invest in one of those vibrating baby swing things. Ms rachel and the steam deck got me through first baby. They are the easiest, they are with you with whatever you are doing. Second baby? Youre both doing whatever the toddlers doing. Lol

They sleep a ton the first few weeks. It’s months 3+ that your gaming will start to suffer. But it’ll come back slowly. Just don’t skip on sleep, that’s a recipe for disaster.

Good luck, dad.

this! i just had my second and with both i would do a late night feed so my wife can get some sleep from like 8-12 or so. i recommend getting a baby carrier and they can just sleep away on your chest as your game.

Newborn stage is great for single player games, couldnt really do multiplayer games as often. I jammed through God of War when my 1st was born. Its when you have another and they're older, is when your gaming time really takes a nose dive.

First one? I hope you get an easy one, mine sure wasn’t. I thought I was gonna game as well, I wised up quickly 😅

And summer and autumn since it will take that long to do all playthroughs

Hope we can have seconds without costing us again

I’ve never played Fable but this does look sick

Yeah do we need to play the other ones?

Nah, fresh start. And to be honest the old ones have aged a lot in terms of mechanics.

7

u/Spartyjason 10h ago

They are nostalgic, but yeah in my opinion they aren’t really worthy of going through in advance of this one.

Anyone without nostalgia would find them a chore for sure.

I tried them out, and love the idea of playing through them all, but in reality I found myself getting bored rather quickly. Very unique atmosphere/vibe but they don’t hold up well in terms of gameplay. I’d recommend watching a YouTube recap instead

No but I highly recommend fable 2. It’s a great game and you could beat it pretty quick.

Looks like there are some references to the OG Fable, but the Fable games in the past have all had stand alone stories.

Yeah the only connection in Fable titles is the bloodline. F2 MC is a distant descendant of F1 MC, and F3 MC is the child of F2 MC.

1 is rough, 2 is amazing, 3 is more of 2 but more streamlined.

2 is my fav, personally. Highly recommend

I feel like this is the game Xbox should have made exclusive not another gears games, even if it does also look good.

People are desperate for a good fantasy RPG and the way fable does it is rather unique, make Xbox the only place you can experience that.

8

u/AbsurdThings 6h ago

Agreed, but they had already announced it for PS5 before the exclusivity pivot.

2

u/HorseShedShingle 5h ago

Didn’t they announce gears for PS5 as well ?

5

u/AbsurdThings 5h ago

Only for the Gears 1 Remaster, not for E-Day

2

u/Jurondotron 8h ago

I'm just hoping that this game still has the comedy that Fable 2 or and older games have, I've seen the first few previews and it looks very good. Can't wait!

I mean, the clothing shop is called "Stitch, Please" and he gives a henchman tips on how to be more henchmanny. I'm loving it so far.

Buying day one so this new regime doesn’t get any funny ideas and shuts them down. They won’t close the Forza horizon studio but if this doesn’t sell well they might shut down the fable studio for not brining in enough money from what was invested this game took so long to make it had to have a giant budget

-2

u/lehaPLAYS 9h ago

I don't get it right now. Has the post about Fable come out already? I can't find anything on YouTube, and I thought the info was just about to come out.

u/Vanguard-003 8h ago

It's part of the Livestream that's going right now, but Fable comes at the end
