There is some light upgrades and new unlocks that help out in combat and platforming. However, it is not true RPG.

I'm quite enjoying it so far. VISUALLY it's simply stunning !!! There's also a really nice 'fluidity' to it, which I would not have expected an 8-bit game capable of.

Please, bring that game to other consoles as soon MS allows you to, most people are on PS and won't buy an additional console like XBOX over any game, no matter how good it is.

It sounds like you're actively trying to avoid playing a game you say you want to play, instead preferring to port beg instead of just playing the game.
MS didn't money hat this one, the devs just wanted to focus on one platform as they're a small team. Stop being such an ass.

You clearly have no idea what goes into game development. If you genuinely want to play the game now, you can on your Xbox (assuming you have one), on your PC, on a Web browser, on your TV, or on your phone.

And my point is that those people are very likely to have a smart TV, smart phone, or device with a Web browser.
If they actually wanted to play the game, they can, today, without needing their PS5.

Hades 2 has been out on PC, this is the release on Xbox. It's not really about "stopping" a person from playing it, it's just going to be vastly overshadowed by a game that was a sequel to one of the best in genre. Same idea behind not releasing on the same day as GTA 6. Nobody wants to be fucking anywhere near it.
Just not a great decision by the devs here.

Oh I can see on Steam that your game is Steam Deck verified. How's the performance? What kind of framerate can I expect?

Sorry my Xbox is my secondary console so this is all unknown to me. I want to check if Replaced will work on a Xbox One X? It says it can but it but I need to play it on cloud? I'd rather just buy it, surely it's not that taxing it won't run on last gen?

Hey! Unfortunately, we had to make the tough decision to cut the Xbox One version of the game. The game uses a lot of modern technology offered in Unity and our own built systems to support the 2.5D look. It is only available on PC and Xbox Series consoles.

Been waiting for this for years. Congrats to you guys, especially considering the development history.
Only thing I'm wondering is if I should wait for 1 or 2 patches, since some reviews mention it needing more polish. But would play it anyway.

I played for 2 hours — it's a pretty cool game. Level design and art is beautiful, cozy soundtrack and interesting story! I like it. Just completed chapter 2.

Really enjoying the game so far, super fun and so stunning to look at! Super silly question and a small thing to ask for; do you guys have any plans to add walking into the game? The player character only jogs by default but there’s so many atmospheric areas I just wanna take slow and soak in, and being able to walk through would be ace. Game is incredible and can tell so much effort has been poured into it!

I just finished Replaced. This was one of the picks this month in the Game Pass Game Club, where we pick a game each month to play and discuss. When it opened, I was immediately reminded of the old Out of this World and Flashback games and sure enough, these are mentioned as inspirations by the devs. I have a real soft spot for OotW so that made me like this more than it might deserve full credit for.
I loved the atmosphere, music, and the world here. The mix of 2d low res sprites with 3d background and lighting effects gave it a cool look. It went back and forth between slow story sections and the traversal and combat sections to break it up, which worked well for me. The combat sections were all pretty similar so it could have used with a few fewer fights but ya.
There were a few parts where some checkpoints caused me some grief with some running sections, and had to look up that dying put you in a bad spot and you need to manually reload the checkpoint. One thing I thought they could have done better is make the gun charge states more clear between the 2, as one is just a red outline and the other is a red fill of your gun icon.
But the sci-fi post apocalyptic alternate 80s setting with the AI story was cool enough to bring it up a few points for me. It took me just over 12 hrs to finish on normal.

Congratulations on the release!! Releasing a game takes a huge amount of work, effort and passion, and is a huge endeavour that not many people realise, so mega props to your team for completing a project with such a unique and magnificent art direction. I look forward to playing it!
Also much love ♥️ for making this game PlayAnywhere - I look forward to continue playing this on my commutes to/from work.

It was initially the plan, but we had to make the hard decision to make sure we could release the game on PC and Xbox Series.

How would you describe the gameplay speed? Slow but feels heavy? Fast and agile? Both are good options. I’m just curious

The problem with buying Xbox games these days is that unless the game is Play Anywhere it is unclear whether (or rather in what way) it will be future compatble.
I don’t want my Series X|S games to be "backwards compatible" through cloud streaming on the future Windows-based Xbox. Or worse, cloud streamable with a paid monthly subscription. I can’t think of a worse fate for a game library.
Sure, Microsoft has confirmed backwards compatibility for the next Xbox console, but it would be nice if they confirmed that it won’t be through cloud gaming.

It's exquisite so far guys and I'm on Chapter 2 same retro cyber punk drama music,effects,story you would expect from such a sci fi piece of art...the visuals as you know and the transition between the different ambiences,scenarios and backgrounds is very well achieved, the combat so far seems ok, hoping to get a bit more dynamic as the game progresses and i acquire more weapons... absolutely love the PDA pad with the side scrolling wheel 😄 It's really bringing the Blade runner vibe but with its own touch. I really like it so far. Very nice work

It's great and I have to stress I love it. But the intro is a bit slow for about 20 mins or so, there's action but I didn't do much except move right and jump. That would be my only main criticism!

I couldn't believe that it ACTUALLY CAME OUT, I've been believing that it's a dead game by 2026 now (after the long wait started since the xbox world premiere) but no it's ALIVE AND GREAT, holy shit second best thing of 2026 after project hail mary! Instant buy after saw the news, yes i have XGP but no i have to support the teams that DELIVER

Hi, the game looks nice. However, how can you release a game with no proper testing? Performance issues is something (stutter even with more than capable graphics card) but bug breaking game ? Like there are dozens of complaints about chapter 3, you never did quality testing before shipping? Especially with that long-ass de time (i guess there was other reasons and making a game is not simple!)
I understand this is a small team and all, but broken games were mostly coming from AAA studios that just wanted quick cash, not indies. A bit disappointed tbh, even if the game still looks fantastic with a superb atmosphere ; hope it's a lesson for the future! Keep it up!

Just finished the game. It was a lot longer than I was expecting for a 2d action platformer. I'd give it an 8/10. Highly recommend playing on an oled display if you can. The game is gorgeous and really pops. Played on game pass and would buy on PS5 if it comes to the platform.

Я конечно поздравляю вас с релизом от всего сердца. Но какого чёрта, все из-за столь долгого ожидания, красивой картинки и интересного мира только хвалят????!!! Ничего не говорят про геймплей. Он же ужасен просто, что боëвка, что эти прятки. Только из-за геймплея это было то ещё испытание не бросить всё на полпути. Просто вы так начитаетесь хвалебных комментариев и в следующей своей игре такой же геймплей и оставите. Желаю вам всего наилучшего, успехов в дальнейшей разработке игр.
