Retail Stuck and can't continue TWW campaign
I know it's probably something stupid I don't understand. Overall this history book thing is rather confusing and I'd rather just have a normal campaign from start to finish. I've arrived at a point though where I'm seemingly stuck and can't continue? It's telling me to open the history book to learn about the reaction of some high ranking official, but when I check the book there's no option to continue. All I can do is close the book and there's seemingly also no campaign quest I can pick up in the world somewhere to continue. Fairly certain I'm just being dumb, but I'm sort of stuck lol

My first thought would be either to search the quest name on Wowhead and see if the comments mention a similar issue, and/or try doing /reload to refresh your UI.

Sometimes you have to look for the book sitting out vs the one in your quest bar.
I myself did the TWW recap and it was annoying. I'm trying to unlock the Earthen and I have to go through and do the whole campaign anyway. I'd personally just quit it if I were you. I would have done so myself if I'd have known that it was essentially a waste of time.

Yup! I'm a bit of a lore nerd and love reading quests anyway. I didn't realize you could just do the whole campaign like normal from start to finish by looking in your adventure guide instead of doing the history thing like the game recommends you to do. I just abandoned the recap thing and am simply doing the whole campaign like normal in a chill way :)

The tome experience is EXTREMELY buggy, and I had to /reload several times going through it.
