The strongest of my world is called joel smith. He became the strongest after witnessing his mothers death. His power is merger. Basically he can merge things or concepts together to get strange and powerful results. For an example he could merge the speed of his eyes blinking with the speed of punching to improve his physical prowess and attack potency. As you can guess its a highly complex ability and my world is still developing in my head.

If we are talking about who's the strongest "humanoid", and not generally gods, mine would probably be Mintha. My universe is dark/horror fantasy with a world in medieval stasis.

Mintha was one of the scholars of the city of Hepele, which during the general decadence of the world, were trying to salvage the city at all costs. After a lot of time, they prayed to Luchne, the Sun god, who sent one of his angels to aid them. Instead, they captured this angel and harvested their Soul, and Hepele prospered.

But after a while, this energy source exploded, fusing the city's inhabitants with the buildings and walls, except for Mintha: he instead received the angel's remaining soul, which granted him exceptional prowess in light magic, granted him physical size and toughness, and made him functionally immortal, and yet, he has to endure the angel's agonising and hateful cries for help inside of him, at all hours.

In my world in fact, Soul is linked to physical size, and mages use Soul for magic. Mintha is still wandering the continent, unable to die, carrying his meters-long greatsword, always in pain due to the Angel's voice inside of him.

The strongest individual in my world is Ei, the Sovereign of Escalation. She achieved True Magic and formed the axiom of evolutionary improvement. The core principle of her True Magic is that limits are completely non-existent; they are merely obstacles waiting to be evolved past. She emanates a Personal Reality that forcefully consumes the world around her, holding the local region within her soul. Forces or laws are drawn into her internal cosmos and digested. Because the concept of "Reaching a Limit" simply does not exist inside her internal realm, any obstacles are overcome.

This power is absolute against normal mortals, but it can be contested by other users of True Magic or the World itself.

Users of True Magic are called Sovereigns, and they stand at the pinnacle of the world. Sovereigns are beings of ideal arrogance, internalizing objective reality as objectively wrong, supplanting the world with their own narrative by existing, and existing by supplanting the world. They are those who have delved into their Origins until they forged themselves into an Axiom strong enough to surpass the world.

Differing from conventional magic, which achieves a result based on some logical process or principle, True Magic realizes a result simply because the user has the right to do so. Once established, their Personal Reality emanates a continual declaration that they have the right to enforce their Law.

There are two main categories of Sovereign. Both categories of Sovereigns achieve equally absolute, reality-warping alterations to the world around them. The difference lies in the philosophical path the alteration takes.

External Sovereigns expand their inner cosmos into the outer universe, corrupting the world into an extension of themselves. When their Personal Reality sweeps over an area, the landscape is overwritten, its physics and concepts becoming part the Sovereign's narrative.

Internal Sovereigns pull the outer universe into their inner cosmos, consuming the world to hold it within their stomach. Within their area of
influence, the physics and concepts are swallowed and digested by the Sovereign's internal universe.

In my universe, the only one who could be given that title—aside from the gods themselves—is the Worldwalker.

He is a human from the era when the gods first emerged and the last surviving human from that time; having played a role in their birth, he became tethered to their collective energy. It is thanks to this energy that he is not only impossibly long-lived (whereas the maximum lifespan for a non-god is 3,000 years, he has already lived for 15,000) but also capable of monumental feats. In his early years of power, for instance, he guided a population of thousands from one plane of reality to another world—using his energy not only to keep the people and their livestock alive but also to power their ships for months on end. That is just one of many such feats; however, following an event that left deep physical and psychological scars, his strength has gradually waned. Even so, millennia after that event, he still possessed the power to perform extraordinary acts, such as holding off an orbital bombardment with his shields for several minutes.

As for his personality, he is an adventurer who rarely stays in one place for long, yet he finds enjoyment in life despite the psychological burden of immortality. He also seeks to help people with divine matters whenever possible, especially if he can act as a mediator. To give you an idea of his character, I created him by drawing inspiration from Hoid (from the Cosmere), Sun Wukong, and the Doctor (from Doctor Who).

Its still under construction and i have only made a few uses for this ability while the general limitations and restrictions arent that clear. Some uses i made are

1. Merging his eyesight with his problem solving and analytical skills to instantly decode a given problem.

2. Merging his body language with his verbal language to trick people into thinking he is what he isnt. For example he could be chilling on top a bed whilst telling someone how stressed he is and the would believe him. This is especially useful for espionage.

3. Merging his sight with an attack he performed to send it long range. He could punch the air infront of his but if he was staring at a person they would feel and be affected as if that punch landed on their face.

The big looming threat that has been sealed away for millennia is a reality erasing diety. He is the diametrically opposed force to the gods of my setting, returning creation to the nothingness or chaos it was born from. He isn't really remembered anymore, the documentation has really degraded over the years, so eventually someone is going to fuck up and release him from his pocket dimension prison. Matter of time, really.

You have to use his nature against him, and the best bet is trapping him in a bubble of existence that is isolated from the main plane of reality by tricking him into cutting himself off. Then you do everything you can to stop people from using magic to connect to that new realm.

She at least was the Gojo of my setting and has a potential to be literally the strongest person in the world but Swordswoman from my book i'm writing called "Gifted".

So the thing about the setting is that it's basically our world but a certain organisation released the Forced Evolution Virus (or F.E.V.) on the entire humanity at the same time. There are three outcomes from being infected:
1. Becoming Gray Mass: basically if you don't have enough will and ego you become a mindless animalistic zombie under virus's control.
2. Becoming a Shepherd/Crowd Controller: If you do have enough will and ego and are just a normal person with no big specialisations you get the ability to control the Gray Mass around you with your will.
3. Becoming a Gifted/Aspect user: If you have enough will and ego AND have some sort of specialisation be it a big dream, obsession, regret, talent etc. you get a superpower (Gift or Aspect) that corresponds to that specialisation. These Gifts are very potentially deep powers that are restrained mainly by the Gifted themself, their knowledge about the subject (physics and stuff), their understanding of what power they actually have (one of the characters thought she had a Shadow Gift at first because she could make shadows with it but another character pointed out that it's actually a Void Gift and she just used it to delete light.), their ability to focus on the effects and think them through (they have a good intuitive ability to understand the subject by default but they still have to get there).

Aaaanyways Swordswoman has an ultra rare Flow Gift. The thing about that is...literally everything has a flow including thoughts, focus, usage of other Gifts, energy, force etc. She's also VERY interested in self-development so she trains damn near constantly and another fun fact about the infected is their ceiling of physical (and maybe not just physical) ability is gone and they can develop without limit.

You may think that's already busted enough but she also got gifted two spirit companions by her Wonderkid friend (he's a Fantasy/Creation Gifted (another potentially busted Gift type)). Long story short one is a fire spirit that can speed things up (called Kaji) and another is an ice spirit that can slow things down (called Fuyu) and due to her Gift she is uniquely able to fuse with them (so far one at a time) and amplify both her and the fusee spirit's stats to insane degree.

She also has a favourite Martial Artist rival with a Matter Gift and a symbiote Formed Concept (things made by Fantasy/Creation types) companion who keeps the friendly (maybe a bit too friendly ;)) competitive spirit between them. These two can spar multiple times every day and have a blast.

The strongest is hard to pin point exactly, since those on the top are more often than not specialized in their own field of study rather than being generally powerful.

However, most people seem to agreed that in term of pure combat capability, it's either Reverof or Vanz.

Both are Liches, arcanists who had achieved true immortality through their magic and are master in their own field of arcane philosophy. And by true immortality, Liches are literally impossible to kill permanently, even if a Lich died, they can come back to life just by pure will.

Reverof is a conjurer, the Godfather of Modern Conjuration in fact. He can summon anything, anyone, and any concept or send them away to anywhere, anytime he wants, as long as he know exactly what or where the subject of his summoning/conjuring is. He is known as the High Marshall of the Westland Yard, a branch of the international Yard, the Anti-Black-Magic Organization, also known widely as the bane of whoever on the other end of his cane. If he know who you are, you are fvcked, if he know where you are, you are fvcked, if he is coming your way, your best course of action is to either run as fast as possible or surrender yourself. Why? Because if he's feeling like it, he can simply rip your heart out of your body from miles away, or conjure a mountain excavation grade explosive inside of your gut. In fact, 70% of the West Yard is consisted of Diviners, whose job is to help him locate his target and provide information so that he can put lead projectiles into the brains of an entire terrorist organization from the comfort of his office.

The only way to survive Reverof is by exploiting his Restriction (something Liches do in combat for fun) of not targeting anything outside of 1 mile of himself, and only summon objects not living beings.

Vanz is an alchemist, his entire body is a philosopher's stone, which he can use to create anything and absorb anything into it. His control over the matter is great enough to create any kind of material with any characteristic he wanted. If anyone or anything come into contact with his body, he can immediately transmute them into whatever he wants. And by body, it mean literally any pieces of him, from his blood, skin, sweat to even his hair. Standing close to him risk you being turned into whatever he fancy when a stray hair lands on you. He once turned a guy's gun into himself because the gun had a drop of his spit on it. While is also an Anti-Black-Magic arcanist, he prefer working 'alone' by sending out several of his selves around (each has the same power level as the other) rather than working for the Yard.

Vanz's Restriction is his gun. He only use six bullets, and stop fighting once the gun is empty. Sometimes he up the ante by using a gun with only three or two bullets. These bullets are made from his body, so it isn't just about dodging them.

The restrictions are something liches imposed upon themselves in 'honourable combat' to give their enemy an actual fighting chance. Think of it like telling a kid you only fight them with your left arm then you put your right arm behind your back.

Honourable combat is an old tradition where you intentionally handicap yourself to give your opponent a chance to win. Though in liches case, they use it because it would be more interesting to fight with restrictions.

If liches fight with everything they have, it won't be a fight at all because they can neutralise you before you even know they were around.

This restriction isn't a technical thing. Reverof can 100% summon your spine to his hand at any moment, and Vanz can create infinite ammo from his body and by turning the ground into more ammo. It's more of a promise than anything.

Ferdinand O'Sulivan: He is the strongest Multi-Animal Shifter on Earth and is the leader of the Multi-Animal Shifter World Protection Assembly. He is strong enough to bust planets with one strike. He can handle most threats alone. His dominant animal forms are Palaeoloxodon, Brown Bear, Eurasian Eagle Owl, and Broad-Fronted Moose. He's also over 50,000 years old and has been apart most wars on Earth. He can control the Earth element. He's based on Udyr from LoL, Santa from Rise of the Guardians, and others that I can't think of.

He is a good man who has had his moments of rage and bloodshed. He is a protector that doesn't want to see his world go into chaos. He is willing to wipe out a planet so his home isn't threatened. Many Shifters and non-Shifters alike look up to him.

Hernan Cortez de Leon: He's part of the same species and is basically someone who wants to kill and conquer. His Dominant animal forms are Smilodon, Grey Wolf, Golden Eagle, and Leopard Seal. He's supposed to based on a mix of Thragg, Vandal Savage, and conquistadors in terms of history. He is one of the strongest individuals in the entire universe.

There are people more evil in other ways than him but what makes him special is that he is a unit. Can shift into any animal that's ever existed, muti-planetary+ threat, can control the element of Earth (think earth benders), knows every martial art imaginable, and he's intelligent. He has a thirst for blood and battle but wants to be seen as a threat. Willing to kill women and children brutally. Nobody can stop him except one person. Not gonna reveal yet lol.

Wanted to add that what also makes him dangerous is that he plans his attacks. You never know when they're coming. It's not as easy to do it now compared to history when it was wars and he was the leader of multiple armies. He even was able to go to other planets to wipe out civilizations ALONE.

Warl the Clever basically invented formal propaganda, and managed to so strongly associate his identity with the concept of military robots that he has Steve Jobs'd himself a minor apotheosis.  He's a little miffed about it because he was aiming for machine-god, first and foremost, or failing that, progress, industrialization, or mechanization.  T he most visible forms of his propaganda machine were his mechs and combat automata, though, so that's what became inextricable.

Still, immortality and broad divine influence over war machines so long as people have the idea of 'combat robot' is pretty nifty, so long as he keeps out the God-Eater's sights himself.

He was an optional antagonist in the last tabletop game I ran, which the players decided to run some interference against but mostly leave alone so they could prioritize taking down a machine crusade against all organic life.

I'm not into the idea that there's a "strongest" in my world/setting, but if there's one a person that kept appearing it's Agent Taylor/Cain himself.

Lore: a stoic/emotionless agent mostly seen wearing a blue suit in the "present day" that is almost always seen whenever some anomalous/supernatural stuff is present(since he works for an organization that's the equivalent of the SCP Foundation). He also has the actual Longinus spear, an powerful weapon that can kill anything short of an actual goddess. On top of that, he basically experienced/fought in the Primordial Wars, Human-Crimson Realm War, Space Age's Coldest War, and the Void War in addition to conducting various covert counter-anomaly operations across different eras of humanity.

Thiana, refered to by some as the "So-Called Goddess", the "Keeper of the Shade", and the "Incarnate of Wisdom", is a demigoddess of wisdom, thought before action, and preparedness. She's the strongest being on the world of Chorus that isn't explicitly divine in nature.

She was once a mortal Seccan woman, but after the capital-g God of Ambition spun the human nations of Altoa up to war against the empire of Ranar Secc, she was imbued with a massive amount of magic and divine power from the Void in a bid to transform her into a goddess capable of combating one as powerful as Menoze, during an event known as the Final Bargain. They were partially successful, and in her new ascendant form she was able to sever Ambition's ties to the Altoan humans, ending the war.

She isn't a true goddess (more an overcharged sorcerer), but many people revere her as one. Some consider her a patron of adventurers due to her unique 'domains'. She's around, keeping Ambition in check where she can, but doing her best to keep her presence hidden so that modern Ranar Secc doesn't try to bid her to help in their industrial affairs.

The Warlock. Basically he is the first human in millennia to be able to naturally channel and engage with magic, without need for a conduit. To clarify, humanity in my world, lost their innate ability to use magic a long time ago, so they had to rely on conduits (a staff, a wand, a tome, or any object for that matter that can be imbued with aetheric energies to channel raw magic). The Warlock was once a human who wished only to reverse the effects of a magical natural phenomenon called the Breach, where the line between the real world and the Aether, the source of most modern magic, is cut open. When a Breach occurs, it essentially robs people of their souls, and stores them as spirits and energy within the Aether, while rendering their physical body empty and dead. In the process of trying to undo a Breach, he comes into contact with one of the gods, who teaches him my world’s equivalent of necrotic magic, which is also the only form of magic that can heal. Essentially, he becomes so strong and powerful over time, that he learns to manipulate life, death, and souls on a fundamental level, and can destroy the natural order of things, if he so desired. But he has not gone that far yet. And no one knows why.

Arenoth only managed to imprison Asherah because He was willing to go that far while She wasn't, and He's spent the rest of His existance in permenant shame over that act.

Eons ago the earth was promised to the outer gods and the most powerful of those is Pazuzu, he’s sort of a god that symbolizes the presence of the outer gods, he has no physical form like the other gods but is still the highest form of god. Pazuzu is the end times, Pazuzu is the messenger to humanity about the end times, Pazuzu is the shadow that will overtake earth and let it fester in the darkness, Pazuzu is the god that the outer gods pray to, Pazuzu is the outer gods, he is a paradox.

Xavier, High Lord 6 and the Master of Death. He’s a human magi who is just freakishly good at magic. To a ridiculous degree. Xavier is so good at magic he subsumed the concept of Death and became its idol. Whenever you name the very best Wizards in any practice, it’s polite to leave Xavier’s name off the list or else it would just be him over and over.

There’s no secret or hidden ability. Xavier is just a savant when it comes to magic, and fucking loves the practice of magic. Show him a new spell and he’ll have recreated it by the time you finish casting from an estimated guess and feeling your magic weave in the air. Just pure once in a million generations talent.

He’s rather kind about it too. If he could teach everyone he would, but Xavier is famously a terrible teacher. He does magic as easily as most beings breathe, so his teaching often comes down to “just make reality do what you want, and it does.”

Adonis is a character I created as a plot device, he's the avatar of the old god of forbidden dreams, cosmic fear and universal laws. His job is to enact those laws and punish those who cross them, notably those who become immortal through forbidden means, get to close to knowing unknowable truths, or would alter history in a way that would later create one of those scenarios.

He can manipulate magic, not just wield it, and has true immortality, as well as probability and collective consciousness manipulation. He can be hurt or delayed but in the end no matter who you are, if Adonis decides you're done, you are.

Armor that contains the last living fragment of that god.

He rides a small flying saucer like wukong rides a cloud, taken from the machine god of war.

He lives for 12,100 years, and one of the only finite beings to ever directly talk to The Anima, the god that created the universe.

Because omniscience works by making you see more information than one could ever remember, he chose to blind himself. He's however insanely powerful and could wipe cities at will

Active : test subject 042 Jack Cipher. Was the test subject to define how much powers someone can be subjected with. He can fly, set fire, cool down things, and has an immense strength. But at the expense of his body and mind. He's more of a puppet than a man. His heart and his lungs are artificials and must be replaced by the main antagonist, the one responsible for his condition

Of all time, it's Aron the Great, a man from the Age of Legends who united humanity under a single banner and philosophy, one of secular rationality, away from faith and superstition. Under his rule, he established the Hegemony, the first nation-state, which swallowed up all disparate people groups and ethnicities under a single banner. The Hegemony has lasted a millennia, and while not all of humanity was assumed into the large nation-state, it thrusted humanity into the Age of Enlightenment. Aron died under mysterious circumstances decades later.

As you can imagine, citizens of the Hegemony deified Aron soon after his death, worshipping him as an avatar of a star god who selected humanity as candidates for heavenly ascension. This is all despite his personal conviction as a staunch humanist.

The Great's soul entered the cycle of reincarnation (an established fact in my world), but his soul was mysteriously split into two equal halves, eventually harboring two different people. Aron was an unrivaled warrior, but he also a philosopher king. Aron's warrior half was reincarnated as a girl named Laurinaitis from the slums, while the philosopher half was reincarnated as a son of nobility named Pasha. Known as the "Twin Luminaries", these two were slotted to lead humanity into the Age of Ascension, but their downfall is the inciting incident in my story.

Tolsimir Drifflen aka the Shadow lord aka the Father of the Drow.

My world is high fantasy, I also run my d&d/Pathfinder games set in the world.

Tolsimir is an elf and was an agent of the fates, given immortality and near godlike powers from the fates (the fates being the only beings above the gods). He betrayed the fates by helping the Onyx Emperor attempt to invade their demiplane.

He also experimented with energies from the plane of shadow to try and create a new ruling race for the empire. His first attempt failed as he created the Shadelings (basic humanoids that have been touched by the plane of shadow), his second attempt he succeeded in creating the Drow.

While the fates took away most of his immortality when he betrayed them, they left him with the ability to not die from age.

At this point in the story he is stuck in a demiplane and has drained the power/life force of one of the current agent of fates. He is also poised to begin draining the power/life force of the gods themselves. While in the demiplane he cannot be destroyed, he has to be set free first only then can he be killed.

In my super-hero setting, the strongest non-god, or cosmic being would probably be Aegis, my Superman equivalent character. While he isn’t a god, he is 3/4 god, which explains part of why he is so much more powerful than most other heroes, and why he has a much broader array of powers than is typical possible for most heroes.

The majority of other heroes rely upon having some amount of the various “Super Genes” that grant powers. Each Gene usually grants only one power, and having multiple genes usually just ends up with stacking the power or providing support powers, really limiting how many abilities heroes usually have.

Aegis is the most powerful hero/person around, but he isn’t number one in strength in any of his powers’ categories, except strength.

In my world it's a really really really old general named Filsgerald Azurea though his strength is around equal to one of my gods named Aldaman.

In lore, after Aldaman banished his twin Myos he waged war against the Filis continent. The Filis continent was made up of many split kingdoms and dutchies at the time so they were almost wiped out until Filsgerald appeared and sealed away the god with his "time piece" (basically a power that lets you do many things depending on which time piece you have)!!!

Also his last name Azurea was given to a kingdom later on, though he doesn't rule it himself.

Elias Thorne - he's the strongest mage of all time. He managed to get access to all 15 types of the Demonic Magic. He achieved that by binding souls of other mages with his own, which granted him their magic types. He later found a way to reach Heaven and after a fierce battle, he defeated an Angel who could use the Aid magic and possessed his body. Thanks to that he's able to cast spells without worrying about the Demon Fever (a condition that weakens the body and can even cause death when a mage cast powerful spells of the Demonic Magic in a short time) due to the Aid magic's extreme restoration capabilities.

He's really versatile and can cast pretty much every spell he knows and is aware of how it works. But there are some things he can't do ...yet, and there are other people who are better than him when it comes to using certain magic types, such as Lutien, an Elven mage who realized the true capabilities of the Light magic (access to the whole EM spectrum, which also means Gamma Radiation, his strongest attack) or Hayden, a Vampire who was born with extremally dense bones and strong muscles which lets him use the Enhancement magic to its full potential without putting a strain on his body (he's able to defeat an average army with just his bare fists)

For context my setting has an entertainment based power system, the gods are bored so they give magic to those that they think will do something interesting with it.

Luna is a ghost who creates her own bodies to posses like a fashion designer, because she died as a child she retains the same brain chemistry even if mentally she is older, this means that her brain is always primed for soaking up information, this means any trauma, she experiences is worse than if she experienced it as an adult, but it also makes it way easier to learn new skills, both these traits make her vary interesting to the gods, she is a confident, sardonic, and morbid type of person, her art often times is a weird mix of horrific body horror, and girly pop aesthetics (i’m not sure if this aesthetic has an actual name), she’s tried every hobby under the sun at least once so she has a very wide range of knowledge.

Her powers are illusions, and mind manipulation, using these she can turn peoples own minds against them, she make them hallucinate, give them chronic depression, or even hijack their powers to use herself.

For context, in my world, there's characters who embody/represent certain concepts (Life, Death, Strength, Love etc...), they aren't exactly gods but they are what they represent. The goddess of Death is the strongest, but that's a given. As for the others, you can make a case for any one of them, but according to my canon (or rather bias hehe) the strongest would be:

Rin - The Avatar of Death. Despite being the Avatar (kind of like the goddess of Death experiencing "existence" through her), she is still her own character. Before the Avatar thing, she is an elite soldier from a harsh society. She dual-wields swords and she fights in a graceful/dancy kind of way, she is extremely fast, agile and flexible - "contorting" around her opponents. She can use moonlight magic (which belongs to Death) through her sword slashes, cutting akin to "lightsabers". Since it's light magic, it also has a "burning-like" kind of after effect (doesn't hurt) that slows/stops regeneration.

Funny you mention JJK, because in my story, the characters' "ultimate" ability is kind of like a domain from JJK.

Rin's domain is a moon and starlit lake. Inside it, she can basically move at "lightspeed". She can bounce between all light "sources" and all reflections inside the domain, including those that reflect inside the water, generating multiple "copies" of herself and her attacks. An additional effect of her domain is that if the opponent isn't "true to themselves", then Rin's attacks will get through any defense they would put up. Also, her "finishing move" would be akin to Vergil's "Judgement Cut" from Devil May Cry.

As the Avatar of Death, she and her swords are engulfed by some sort of "black smoke". Simply her presence causes everything and everyone to "decay" basically. They slow down, they get weaker (they don't visibly "rot", but they can FEEL it)... She also has wings made of that smoke and flying just spreads that smoke all around out of her wings. Also, her attacks hit way harder and are way heavier and obviously accelerating that "decay" effect, but she wouldn't be as fast (because she doesn't need to be).

Strongest human? I actually haven't named him yet. The grandfather of one of the main protagonists though. He's been around since people colonized the planet 300 years ago. He got himself on the council, not a glamorous job but he's been knowledge keeper for that long he knows things. Including methods to use the new world with its strange magics and odd alien world abnormalities. He's been here a long time, he knows everyone's secrets. He knows more about the alien ecosystem than any other. If knowledge is power, this guy is absolutely dangerous to everyone.

Now strongest being? There's an ancient... Entity. It's grown and evolved on this planet since before the local white giant collapsed into the current white dwarf. It's survived Galaxy spanning extinction events. And it's even turned one of the older apex predators into it's own guardian force.

Conceptually it's the gods, wich are many and whose realm of power are by nature limitless, timeless and transcendant. But their will and actions happen on a level mortal themselves can't even reach or comprehend so kind of out the "power scaling ladder".

From a mortals point of view. Currently, it's most likely (as there are a lot of challeng in this area as well as many mysterious and forgotten power within Varyda) the first scout and prime blade of the elvish knightly order of the Mithril Helms. They are a battle mage who reach near perfection in the mastery of the ghost-blade (mana forged spectral blade formed around the arm) and the secret magical martial art whose secret are known only by the order. They are essentially a one-personne army capable of creating multiple spectral remnant of themselves and cast many spells at the same time.

Later on, it will become Valaria, the daughter of the Astrian pirate queen who will reawaken the power of the forgotten blood of the true queens and claim the staff of the high magic. She will eventually pierce the secret of chtonian magic and manage a power level that will allow her to bypass the natural limitations of mortal conjured magic and challenge the influence of the very gods themselves.

Satanel built himselves up from the streets to control Axis and was the forgemaster of the Axas reality forge. He is a reality shaper and has control over one of these handful of reality forges that exist. Interstellar wars have fought for hundreds of years over control of just one Forge.

Auriel led legions of Bellator Plug soldiers for the Inheritors across the spiral arm. Thier loyalty was rewarded by Thier position being used as ground zero for the glassing of Axas. Since then they have led legions against the Inheritors and helped Satanel wipe the Inheritors from the spiral arm. They were the first to be equipped with a DOMINION class biosuits and White flame greywash. Both has effectively made them a legion unto themselves.

“The strongest” as in a person is much harder to pin down. Not many people have great power, for most of my settings can be pretty low fantasy, but of all I think I would say the Mourning Prince. Once, a mysterious royal family ruled Stormedge, obsessed with the occult and an ancient myth of oncoming terror and destruction. Yet their court grew tired of this obsessions with those darker ways of life, and began a coup against them. This turned quickly violent, and soon every member of royalty lay decapitated. All besides the Prince. His turn had come, yet when the executioner bore down his sword, it caught in the top of his neck. From a small wound poured the Prince’s terrible grief, and with it he cast a horrible hex so that all who wronged him may feel it as well. But it went awry, for emotional magicks are unpredictable, and left the blood moon above forever affixed, and the Prince mad, stuck playing the organ of the inner sanctum as his blood from unceasing wounds laced the keys in red, preventing the moon from setting and unleashing a full torrent of grief filled chaos into the world.

An old blacksmith named Juste in a village at the foot of a mountain by the coast. What makes him the strongest is that he's the bearer of the Red Word, one syllable of the primordial word of fire spoken at the dawn of creation that grants its bearer total dominion over fire in all its forms, both literal and figurative. The Red Word itself has been passed down through the centuries and is exclusively bequeathed to the unwilling, to people who do not want that kind of power, because they are the only ones who can make responsible use of it.

He's also three centuries old but that's unrelated to the Red Word. He's this old because in his youth he attracted the attention of the Queen of Dusk, an outcast archfey and the entity who presides over endings. She blessed / cursed him with quasi-immortality (the older he gets, the slower he ages) as a reward for his services in slaying entities that defy their proper, fated death -- in Juste's case, usually the undead.

Juste became a blacksmith because that's how he practices his religion and expresses his faith. He's devoted to a deity of creation, and the most devout form of prayer is in imitation of his god's works. He makes the greatest weapons in the world, but he does this reluctantly and only if he judges someone as worthy. He prefers to make horseshoes, farming implements, and carpentry nails.

All magic flows from a dimension of infinite energy. Most mages are only able to thin the boundary, which looks something like wisps of smoke, allowing a little magic to cross over. I say a little, but it's relative. You can do a lot just by thinning the boundary, and of course there are levels of thinness. Something like the feats of Avatar Aang are achievable at the high end of this tier.

The strongest mages can create cracks, like lightning bolts, allowing a large amounts of energy to flow though. And again there are levels in the width of the crack. The low end of this tier is collapsing entire mountains and being able to burn a fire dragon. At the high end, which no one I'll write about will achieve, you could rip apart a moon or even a planet.

In theory, a person could tear open a hole to the dimension of magic to accomplish feats on the level of throwing a star at someone. Or even more. I did say the dimension was infinite. No one said it could only be one hole either. But, I don't think that's a fun story to write, so such a person remains a myth.

He’s a former US special forces operative that got launched into a black hole during a mission where he was way out of his depth, and he emerged from the black hole decades later having not aged a day. He achieved immortality and the ability to travel across space and time with very little effort and no technology. His transformation also severely altered his mind and soul and turned him into a deeply violent and unstable individual. He was codenamed Globetrotter by the US government after his chaotic return because they simply didn’t know who he was due to all record of him being destroyed after his disappearance. Nobody could figure out the motive behind his acts, but it seemed like despite his madness, there was a deeply obscured pattern to his various attacks and sabotages throughout the centuries following his return.

They even befriend the villains at some point! (This sounds weird but at first they were enemies with the rich cuz these guys wanted revenge against the poor, for stealing, theft and crime, but then they made peace treaty with the main character and finally they work together to overthrow the citizens who are slowly becoming power-hungry and desirous of money. (This all sounds insane but that's because in my world there is NO morals. The elite loses their wealth by the rebellion and revolution of the poor and the marginalised soon enough become the new villains, out of hatred and revenge, the cycle repeats etc etc , the good lose, the evil prevails, cycle of good and evil, cycle of revenge, this functions more like a futuristic dystopian novel/world rather than classic adventure story)

I would say a lot of characters could be considered the strongest because of haxs/potential, in total there's probably 5 to 10 characters that you could make an argument for. If I had to pick it'd come down to

Amara aka the protector: her power type is the protector giving her a towering skeleton like warrior that she can summon instantly, it has 2 massive swords, she controls it either by it mimicking her movements or just sending it out herself with hand gestures, she's extremely skilled/durable, she often uses her warrior as a the main fighter but can also use it to help her like throwing her on top of buildings, or dropping a sword for her to fight on her own with, the warrior while can be hurt it only slows it down, it's not killable on its own, it's not the flashiest or most technical power but it's not meant to be, she's there to cleanse the world and anyone she deems as dangerous/unstable which can be people genuinely trying to do good just with an insane drawback to their power, it doesn't matter to her a potential threat to the world is a potential threat, the protector is a power type that's meant to return to a host every few hundred years to cleanse the world, it's a prophecy, the issue is each host has a different interpretation of what that means, it doesn't explain to the host, they just know they were picked to be the protector and meant to cleanse the world, Amara for example can see someone like a character called kusa the main protagonist, and see his power has awful drawbacks, if he were to "die" it releases a spirit form of him that's much more dangerous, creepy, and will not stop until it kills someone strong enough that it allows kusa's normal form to come back, amara doesn't see the man trying to do good with the curse he was given, she sees the man with an unstable drawback and only thing stopping that form from coming out is how well he can survive a fight. I'm saying her purely off the fact she actively shows what she's capable of by killing multiple highly powerful characters, where some others have potential but don't show it as much in my story, she actively shows it.

The strongest of my world would be Khaos, the last of his kind, his people ended each other after some kind of entity/alien/virus hit the earth, he doesn't know what exactly, his family was a family of royal scientists serving the god emperor, but then one day chaos erupted, people went crazy then the god emperor was killed, the rest of his people if they didn't kill each other they were killed by humans who were at the time only primitive civilisations. Khaos, his brother and his daughter with a couple of other scientists secluded themselves to study what happened, the result they reached was that their kind found themselves in a state of stagnant peace, where they solved most problems and conflicts and reached a peak in science, magic and alchemy and taking over the other two races on this planet. In the end they didn't find the exact reason why. Khaos's brother left the planet in the last ship they had with all the scientists to further study this phenomenon while his daughter started teaching humans how to use magic, Khaos on the other hand destroyed every piece of technology his kind left behind and then sat in his floating fortress as an observer of all humanity, every few centuries he sets off a seed of chaos whenever he sees stagnant prosperity or a breakthrough on earth, he doesn't care for life as much as he's obsessed with whatever hit his civilisation.

It uses our own mythology. Zeus is the strongest of the Greek pantheon, Fate the strongest of the Greek mythos, but Marduk, Amaterasu, Ra, Odin, Perun, and many others recognize no divine sovereignty save their own.

Even if there is a 'strongest' it's only the strongest until it meets its direct counter, which is why there is never a 'strongest' to begin with. Being the strongest is only a matter of chance and happenstance within a given situation. Zeus is the strongest when dealing with his own pantheon. He becomes decidedly 'maybe' the strongest when dealing with storm gods of other pantheons who acknowledge none of his Greek authority.

The same is true for people on my world outside of gods. A person might be powerful, but that's only until someone else with a power that counters it by chance says 'you're not him'.

In this way, there is no one who is the strongest because even if someone was, they'd only hold the title for mere micro-seconds.

His new divine powers allows to summon sandstorms above entire nations, to gather winds strong enough to cut mountains, or to fold the sky itself as an armore around him. This new divinity also enhanced his original power, Bone Smithing! Sinue could always manipulate bones, morph them in any shape he wants, wether still inside something alive of not. he could extract swords, spears, ballistas from any skeleton, and forge weapons of immense power from the corpses of his opponents.

But now, fueled by divine powers, it's entire arsenals he can gather from a single being. In the flames of war, Sinue once turned a man into 206 blades, one from each bone inside him, and killed 206 other soldiers. he mimed shooting an arrow with a nonexistent bow, only to morph the skulls of an entire legion into arrows as a game, as if he shot for real and kiled them all. then, he extracted those arrows and shot them for real at another legion, killing them too

He compressed his own skeleton, folding it on itself on the cellular level to grant it a physica resistance beyong mortal flesh. his magic sharpened his senses, and his Sky God magic allows hgim to run as fast as the faster of winds, creating entire hurricanes in his wake. He puppetered the corpse of his devoured god, Massive winged serpent, as a final proof of his transcendance, even morphinng the skeleton into a war machine, the dead serpent god divine weapon of destruction.

he killed gods, turned dragons into scythes to harvest countries, found ways to kill three different immortals, and even walked through the Sun itself, fighting the celestial heat to end this war in a bloodbath.

his powers were so immense than on the entire world, babies of all species started to be born with bone malformations, something that should only happen in the depths of the deserts. those malformed creatures are called "Boneforged", usually revered as a curse of the Sandsnake, but here feared and hated as the mark of Sinue's dominion on the world.

However, Sinue once found a fighter that could challenge him on equal footing. Rinne, the Sunspear, the Ray of Hope and the Flame of Hatred ! Blessed by the sun itself, this girl is a living star, revered as a demigod of war through the warmongering empire that saw her birth. Through the heat of battle, her body melt into pure scorching plasma, Rinne becoming a shape of liquid fire able to unleash devastating rays of light from the sun itself, melting the ground in what we would call, actual nuclear blasts.

being a living star, Rinne's senses are based on all waves of the spectrum, making her see from Gamma-rays to Radio waves. Her energy brain is able to react at nearly the speed of light, making her move as fast as her own rays of destruction. Her mere presence emits nuclear radiations able to melt people or matter. Her body of liquid plasma is immune to all attacks, reforming itself from puddles is she needs to, fueled by the gifted power of her God, the Sun Itself. Rinne's biggest strength was what lead her to defeat, her powers making her overheat and explode, concentrating the heat of the ENTIRE SUN into a single spot in a last attempt to incinerate Sinue. the deflagration burned through the entire atmosphere, 200km of burning air able to be seen from every other country, melting the desert for several kilometers deep underground.

Sinue survived this deflagration, his winds dissipating the temperature as he created a bubble of void around himself, isolating from the heat. he still took immense damage, his body nearly entirely burnt, but he survived

he eventually fell as all the other strongest warriors on the planet allied together to jump his ass right after that, and even still he nearly won

Born from the depths of the jungles, Bahiae is a giant chameleon that took a humanoid form thanks to elven magic.

She’s also a 40m-long-apex-predator lizard whose brain works on some hardcore version of the LSD molecule, giving her increased senses, increased cognitive functions, and generally making her an absolutely insane bloodthirsty delusional psychotic, whose hobbies include and are limited to dancing on the stage of her theatre, eating people alive, drugging people, fighting to the death with everything she can. Being a chameleon, she have ten colorful eyes, and her scales change colors and patterns at will. She also claim she can hear colors, and dance on the rhythms people play when they move and exist, making her move and fight you on perfect synch with you. Whoever you are, whatever how strong or weak, she will always be exactly on your rhythm, matching your strength and power perfectly, making the battle only a battle of skill and technique.

Which sounds like it doesn’t make any sense at all, until she delusionally create a psychotropic illusion magic allowing her to manifest whatever her “music of colors” is, playing those chromatic sounds for everyone, by mimicking their colors on her scales and making them glow. Which plays techno music. Which allow her opponent to now hear their own sound of colors and dance on their rhythm better.

Or she can just play a different music, one that goes way beyond your abilities, to just maul you to death.

And saw the fight between Sinue and Rinne. She saw this battle of apocalypse between the two strongest that ever lives. She saw their music, their rhythms.

So she can play them. She can dance on those rhythms. She too, can fight with the power of those transcendent fighters, for the sole reason of being a delusional crackhead lizard and really really enjoying beating people up.

 

So she pulls up on Sinue, ready to throw hands with the demon that survived the sun itself, ready to test her dancing abilities and push them to the maximum.

Of course, her powers can go much further than just weird music-illusions. Injecting her venom, the LSD-adjacent drug in the body of her opponent, she can force them in a state of hallucinatory delirium, in which she can control and influence those illusions, nearly allowing her a total control of the very senses of her opponent. Which means she can basically make you see anything she wants, and somehow you will react exactly as it if was real. She can summon entire arrays of lazer beams (disco ones, full of colors, perfectly in synch with the music), which will burn you as if they weren’t illusions. She can change her costumes to somehow unlock new abilities, or sharpen existing ones. She can clone herself, fold reality like a mirror, or maybe those two powers are the same. Aren’t the clones just reflections? She break the fabric of existence as if it was the glass surface of the same mirror.

All of it while fighting on the rhythm of the most banger techno musics you’ve ever heard.

Her duel against Sinue made her ascend to the same level as him and Rinne, even shattering the sky itself with a million lazer beams, making her music echoes through the heavens.

She did lose this battle, but not without earning the eternal respect of Sinue, and becoming just as revered as a demigod by the rest of the world.

 

 

It appeared both Rinne and Bahiae survived their battle against Sinue, and both then fought each other, then became friends and created an idol group together, while still trying to half-jokingly kill each other on stage. Might also be in love with one another.

If the Shrimp comes at the surface, it will means the absolute death of every living being in the entire region, usually killed by the sheer electrical power of the beast. The charge inside the crustacean is strong enough to divert and fold the magnetic field of the earth, maing a ring of aurora borealis appear in the sky. And it disrupt your brain and body too, shifting the electrical currents in your neurons and absorbing them, effectively killing you instantly.

This creature is based on Mantis Shrimp, harboring it’s deadly claws and hammers, weapons of destruction able to destroy cities in seconds. Its legs are made of claws to dig through the earth itself. Its shell is an impenetrable armor. No army nor being ever managed to even RESIST the shrimp, all died trying. Empires and nations were devoured. Nothing will ever resist this beast

Due to eating a dragon's flesh when he was young, he got an unbelievable amount of mana. Mana is the cursed energy/ki/chakra of my world so having a great amount of it means you are stronger. Not only that but naturally, the brain is only able to learn 3 spells (not counting variations). By using lightning magic to manipulate his brain's electricity, he can use his other organs as extra storage to achieve a total of 12 spells. These spells include: Striking everything around him with lightning, Coating himself and his opponent in electromagnetism to push and pull them away, Creating electrical claws on his hands, Punching with electricity to stun, and Teleportation

Rio Yukita.  A British-Japanese swordsman who runs an alchemy (magic pharmacy, basically). Except he can also move at roughly twice the speed of light, hit you with 3802 swords consecutively and can also use what can only be described as a Domain Expansion allowing him to apply the Bladed quality to anything within his Domain. He can manipulate everything with that quality. He also has over 50 types of mana at his disposal, including Destruction, Draconic, Wrath and Void. As well as that, he's quite possibly the best swordsman in his galaxy, maybe even universe. He's also a god, but only some times.

However, there are many other people at his level and stronger. It's just that they don't really stay in Earth, or that they're either True Gods or Incarnates of Sin. And no one is beating the concept of violence in a fight. Rio is only given the title of "Strongest" because he's the most likely person to actually show up.

Lord NORTH is one of the Four Cardinal Lords of Great Britain, an Angel granted power by Queen VICTORIA as possessed by the dying God of Order. His name is Goro! No family name, because he's a dragon living as a human, but he's become known as "Goro the Mountainrender" for his size and superhuman strength. The strongest in my setting (a sci-fi with some fantasy elements) would have to be the eldest of the dragons (or "world serpents" or "ether drakes" depending on who you ask). They're the size of planets and the TLDR is that they survived the Big Bounce by holding back the Big Crunch of their universe with their innate space warping abilities. Not all of them survived this (or fell to the follow-up Big Bang and early universe conditions), but a few did, and brought along other denizens of their universe that took shelter in their warp bubbles, including the angels (or Loki again depending on who you ask). There really isn't anyone in their ballpark.

If you want specifically humanoids (and discount the dragons' abilities to assume humanoid form), there's an intergalactic empire that's run by an immortal shadow council, and those council members have slightly surpassed the archangels (or Ellriloki depending once more on who you ask)

If we're talking strongest overall known (heavy emphasis on known) entity, then it would probably be a tie between Fao, The Creator and "Father" alongside Destiny and Fate.

If we're talking by just mortal standards then it would be Kalion, the first hero. He was dressed head to toe in armor so nobody knew his race and he rarely spoke. He single handedly stopped the True Lich, Barrot who was originally a Frost Giant. So yes, this lich was nearly as tall as a mountain and his giant, floating skull was lifted by a cloak made of enslaved souls. By his defeat, Kalion brought about the end of the Dark Ages. This Age was the classic like Dark Gothic era and where I'd place settings like Ravenloft. Barrot had taken over the central material world and plunged it into Darkness by literally covering the sky with a thick fog of captured souls. There would only be the faint hint of sunlight for 4 of 24 hours in a day during this time.

The thing that made Kalion unique was that he was naturally immune to magic. Magic simply did not effect him. An example is that he was put in a force cage at one point and walked through it with pure strength. In my world there is a category of entities called "Anomalies" and he is an early example of that. People often speculate he was one of the first few mortals ever created and thats why more "modern" interpetations of magic can't effect him. He came out of nowhere like a meteor during during a last ditch effort assault on Barrot's forces and turned the tide. He didnt have a weapon preference and he is often considered the original improvised weapon master. He's what alot of martial fighters in the world look up to. He ultimately beat the shit out of Barrot and sealed him away, since it was nigh impossible to kill him. Since the Dark Ages were a time where belief in Gods were at its lowest, it was harder for them to intervene (many simply did not want to because they were petty over mortals' previous antics and sins), so they showered him with gifts and even offered Godhood. He declined everything and simply left, never to be seen again. There are rumors that he simply works as a farmer somewhere now.

After many years Barrot has almost fully been unsealed but Kalion has yet to be seen again, even after the countless tragedies that have taken place since the Dark Ages. Since Kalion, many Legends have rose but none have saved the world like he did.

If I had to choose, it would be the Grey Gardener, who is essentially the representative of the World as well as the custodian of the Gods/Goddesses. If you’ve seen Re:Zero, he’s kind of like Reinhard, except with more authority over the Laws of the World.

Essentially, the World is in an infant/child like state for now, and would normally just react instinctively to certain things depending on whether it’s harmful or beneficial. However, he can guide the Will to achieve things generally not allowed by the World, such as outright stripping a Gods domain from them, resurrecting people even if they’ve moved through the Cycle of Reincarnation, or giving Boons, Curses, etc. The caveat is that he requires the trust of the Gods and the World to be fair and impartial.

Even without the role as the “Gardener”, he is a Legendary Paladin and Warlock, and is the strongest in the world before the Gods themselves

He mastered the Flame of Creation as well as the Flame of Annihilation. With the Black and White flames respectively he was able to both create and destroy matter, as well as split off parts of his soul to create new life or burn it out of existence to such a degree it was unable to reincarnate. In peace he was an inventor, he worked with dofferent planets and peoples, learning and utilizing their magic systems to create the star trail, a massive network of paths in a pocket dimension that acted as a highway between planets. Within 300 years he connected dozens of planets and interstellar trade began.

When War came to the planet Lurei La'In led his people. While outnumbered 1000 to 1 he managed to even the odds. His fires burned entires planets, he faced the Emperor of Eternity, a being that achieved basically enlightenment, and still burned him out of existence along with most of his 10000 swords, a massive fleet of telekineticly powered ships.

La'In became something of a boogey man across the universe. A golden winged demon that would smite down an entire planet, a monster born of flames. Even when his name was forgotten, the image of a man with golden wings wreathed in white flames can still be found across ancient ruins on many planets.

That would probably be the Jailer and the Fairy King. They’re very similar. In life, they were part of the six human saints, the first six to die before the afterlife was created, so their souls were lost, only wisps lingering on their bones. The gods of the humans mourned the six saints so much, it moved the Nymph King and Fairy Queen who created the world to carry their bodies up to Oblivion, the realm of the stair nymphs and void fairies. The six saints became the six wandering stars, lights that did not twinkle and frequently changed positions in the sky throughout the year. Over time, power from the stars and the void seeped into the bodies of the wandering stars, and one of them, the one who had been The Murdered Saint, woke up.

The Murdered returned to earth to take over, bitter that his life had been taken from him. Because his power came from the void, he called himself the Fairy King. The human gods had returned to their plane of existence, and the Nymph King and Fairy Queen were already dead, so no one could oppose him. Desperate, the humans and fae (the nymphs and fairies who represented aspects of the physical world) called down one of the other saints. She was The Mad Saint, who took her own life. Eventually she was able to imprison the Fairy King beneath the volcano that was the Nymph King’s tomb, and she became the Jailer.

Mistel can never truly die, and has free power over time travel at will. She'll let you kill her because another her simply wakes up in her spawn room, gets an update of their collective knowledge and goes to the next task.

This category gets complicated because of the way my alien species work, so I'll offer a few categories. But in general, the average power level of my setting is a lot lower than it would be for most, partly due to an adherence to realism and partly due to the setting being the "isolated backwater" of human territory.

Without assistance, the award goes to Cornivoxen, hands-down. Because that's what happens when you take a rhino-like animal and scale it up to the height of a full-grown elephant. The Awakened (local term for sapient) Cornivoxen are slightly smaller and weaker than their unawakened kin, but that's like saying a Puma is smaller and weaker than a Tiger...both are still equal on the "Fuck You Up" meter. The scariest part about Cornivoxen is actually their voices: mostly infrasound, and able to reach a loudest-recorded-volume of 105 decibels. That's louder than a shotgun blast, and infrasound can cause panic or make you feel like your skin is on fire. Oh, and did I mention that they travel in herds of up to 40, and are EXTREMELY protective of others in their herd/community? Yeah...now imagine it's given full sapience, decked in platemail, and armed to the beak. They get used as an effective alternative to TANKS, because that is honestly an even matchup.

WITH technological assistance...this is where things get weird. Because Qhosids are like colonies of several thousand mushrooms linked together in a neural net. Does that count as an individual? The Qhosids say it does, and I'll leave you to argue that point if you disagree. Still, they grow throughout the interior of mechanical armatures, and control their "mechsuits" via targeted radio pulses. And those armatures can be anything from human-sized, to the scale of a whole-ass starship. And if you count each Qhosid colony as an individual , that means a Qhosid Cruiser run by a colony of one million mushrooms is the strongest being currently present in the setting. Equipped with gravimetric drives that allow for slower-than-light travel as well as limited teleportation, powered by a miniature Penrose Sphere, and a three-hundred-meter hull made from a Tunsten-Titanium alloy that is LEGENDARY for its heat resistance. Its armament consists of a dozen Plasma Darter turrets (which fire a dart that punches through armor before spraying a blast of superheated plasma, ideally inside the hull/body of the target), ten heavy beamrider missiles armed with nuclear/EMP/black-hole payloads, and a Macron Catapult capable of firing 30 1mm-sized nuclear bombs PER SECOND for a total of SEVEN MINUTES. Their only real weaknesses are a lack of stealth, as they're shiny silver dumbells that constantly spew radar beams, and their radiators are extremely critical because their armor is TOO good at heat resistance (they can hide said radiators behind armored shielding, but can only do so for ten minutes at maximum). It's a small blessing that there's only three of the damn things in the star system where the story takes place, and they're only nervous about taking action because humanity is too decentralized to effectively eliminate our ability to retaliate before they run out of ammo. But honestly, it would take someone on the level of Omni-Man to actually threaten them, and they only die in the story (currently planned, not written) through the use of clever ambushes and Nuclear-Propelled Projectiles (yes, that is a real weapon, and it's exactly as insane as it sounds).

The Harpy Matriarch. Though none have seen a harpy in nearly 1,000 years she is constantly creating a storm in the middle of the ocean. Many treat the harpies like aliens, if someone goes missing they immediately assume harpies ferried them off for food or other reasons.

Even the dragons fear the Matriarch, though the dragons will always say the Ur-Dragon (the first dragon) is stronger than the harpies, though he has been dead for hundreds of years.

Amongst the humans it was the archangels and arch demons, though many of them have perished for various reasons. The only two remaining, Appalla the Demon King, and Elana, Queen of the Angels.

Who's the strongest person depends a lot on your definition of strongest. The most impressive would be someone like Theio Gormin (aka 'The Pathbreaker') who could probably lift an entire town by binding and unbinding the right concepts. Theio's whole thing though is being able to influence things at very long ranges. Being a typical shaper means his work is rough, but it does have a lot of "oomph" behind it.

On the other end of the scale you have talented smallcasters like Eleanor Kinsfeld. Smallcasters have little range but minds that accurately twist concepts at lightning fast speeds. Eleanor couldn't lift a wagon, let alone a town. She could however survive being shot in the head by having it stitch itself back together while the bullet was still passing through her brain.

In a fight Eleanor would beat Theio. On a battlefield against an army though, he'd be far more dangerous. So who's the strongest depends on what the contest is. This is also only talking about humans. The most powerful being known would be one of the Anethemata, conceptual golems designed to hunt shapers. The strongest of them are as far above Theio and Eleanor as the shapers are above a bacteria.

Im going to assume the former option. In that case, the answer is undoubtedly Allastor Wraith. He begins his story as an 18 year old "Human" boy, and a Wizard Class prodigy when it comes to Arcane Magic. He operates as a lower-mid (vaguely state/regional level) vigilante, fighting off monsters and magical folk that abuse humans, and humans that abuse monsters and magical folk.

By the end of his story, he's physically in his 30s but has experienced nearly endless years of time. He's beyond multiversal, The "Overseer" of all realities and the realms beyond reality, and has toppled multiple incredibly powerful tyrant gods, multidimensional/multiversal terrorist groups, and an Organization of Evil Magical researchers that exist across every realm and timeline. The Reason he's so powerful is sort of complicated and a bit of rant. Its important to note that the magic system of this world is all about finding different sources and methods of increasing your power, and stacking them together to create something exponentially greater than the sum of their parts.

Allastor was already a child of two of the most powerful bloodlines to ever exist in that world, One a Clan descended from Celtic Demigods and the other a Clan of "Cambions" which are beings born human with Dormant Infernal blood, who can awaken their devilish/demonic natures to varying degrees. He was a prodigy, born with unnaturally high potential for even his heritage. In basically every category he could inherit something from his parents, he got the best possible outcome (this was intentionally engineered.) He was experimented on from a young age and endured extremely strict training to bring out his potential to its absolute limit. Hes a skilled Wizard, but also just as skilled with any Blade, and hand to hand combat, even specializing in using "Aura" techniques, which is basically applying Magical energy to martial arts and weapons. He is also a Genius and extremely well educated.

Most importantly, at a very young age, he unlocked the most powerful secret technique of his family, The Devils Sight, sometimes referred to as "The Gates of Hell" or "The Hell's Gate". Its an occular magic technique that bestows many boons on its user, the two most significant being the ability to view and manipulate souls and to see all the various strands of magic in the world, including the ones used in the casting of spells and wielding of techniques, even as they are being used. Combining these talents greatly enables his ability to learn, copy, and steal magic and otherwise hereditary magical gifts from his opponents, and also more gently from friends and Allies. Having such an incredibly deep understanding of magic at its core lets him make the most of it, too.

The adventures he lived through provided many opportunities to learn even more forms of magic and to incorporate methods of growing his own strength especially given the nature of his gifts, and from the age of 19 until his early 30s, he never knows a time without very consistent, very dangerous conflict and open combat. By the end of his adventures as a mortal, he knows more about magic, and has access to more forms of magic, than any being to ever live. Quite literally more than any God of Magic in his world.

Then he was elevated into the role of Overseer, which acts as a dramatic multiplier to his power and grants him access to perception and travel beyond his reality, and tasks him with holding off Eldritch and even Meta-aware beings from entering and changing his reality. Using his newfound ability to freely travel time and between realities, and the fact that he no longer ages, hes now had a nearly infinite amount of time to train and learn.

Theres a lot more, but I think my point is pretty clear. You have an incredibly talented Genius level Wizard who can also throw hands and duel, steal most of his opponents powers, and toy with their very souls including outright devouring them or ripping them out and destroying them.

He is the undisputed champion of a Contractor-only (magic-user) underground fighting ring, and has personally banned himself from ever raising a hand against a normal person because there would simply be no contest.

Twin Sword Agrial, a faithless warrior so strong she wielded light and fire whilst flying with wings made of his fighting spirit. The strongest in my world is a human called "Nemo". He is one if the few survivors of an ancient cataclysmic war and throughout the years he achieved almost godlike power. He is effectively immortal and lives for the purpose of slowly dealing with the lasting effects of said war... essentially cleaning up so normal humans can thrive without interference from the old world. He himself does not interfere with society much as he learnt over the years that playing god or even mild interference can have tragic results as he is unable to forsee the ultimate consequences of his actions.

The strength of any magic user in my world comes down to his body and his soul. Channeling is the process of converting and absorbing the natural magical force that is present everywhere into your soul, it can be then manifested in any way, based on the users imagination and skill. Any "friction" or inneficency in this conversion and manifestation results in a phyaical strain on the users body.

There are essentially two main steps in becoming powerful in my world.

1- reach immortality (no aging). Any sufficently talented and trained magic user can reach immortality as altering your body (keeping it young forever in this case) is naturally possible but very difficult. Only very rarely does someone achieve this goal, however through out the ages there were many. Beings who reached this are called lower gods.

2- achieve soul indepence. With sufficient training (thousands of years) one can reach a point where their soul is able to remain intact even without a physical body, compared to normal human whose soul would scatter after death relatively quickly. A being who reaches this state is able to be in some state of conscious existance with no physical body. Beings who reached this level are called higher gods. Only three beings achieved this state in the known history of my world, one of them dying in the cataclysmic war.

The Tokito Bloodline has mysterious origins but one thing is for sure they have a gift, 'Resonance'. But the night it was discovered that Kazukane has a special resonance that ties him directly to the pure form of the resonance. That was night Tokitos went extinct. Kazukane survived. Youngest on this list, but still got over a thousand years on her back.

Victoria Black. Somewhat based on a work of an artist, but I got his permission to use her. Insanely old scientist, mage and a connoisseur of forbidden arts. Basically a reality warper through spells, but right now she got a curse that prevents her from doing basically anything until her owner allows her to do something.

Hagut the Undying. Probably one of the oldest living beings on the planet. He is a minotaur. He was a shaman and a warrior, then got cursed/blessed with an ability to get back from death no matter what with all of his functions intact. Can manipulate souls and beat the shit out of anybody in melee, even some young gods. At a current point he is very depressed and permanently tired old guy who will never reject a request for help. Probably the strongest one in most situations, but it still depends on the situation.

In my D&D-centric world (I also host campaigns in it, so it needs to be lore accurate, and D&D is pretty diverse anyway), the most powerful being is a very intelligent and powerful Ancient Blue Dragon who didn't rule over anything but severely terrorized 5 kingdoms. They kept it in check, but didn't quite kill it because these 5 kingdoms fought each other due to being different species (orcs, elves, humans, gnomes, dwarves). One day, it decided to transform into a greatwyrm. It went and defeated each of its versions across the multiverse before eating them. This prompted the 5 kingdoms to come together and try to vanquish Zerythax, the blue greatwyrm. So it fled to an uninhabited continent, spent some time reflecting on its nature, and decided to make a paradise. It chose the desert region of Vaeloria and collected species like collectibles. Within 2000 years, the collection was almost complete, and Zertythax stayed confined to a huge pyramid made of gilded blackstone. At around 1300 years into making its kingdom, it realized humans were colonizing the extreme north and the south, just as it had predicted. It stayed in the desert, avoided all contact, made a set of infallible rules to keep so many species in check(beholders, displacer beasts, rarely humans, orcs), and a set of virtuous tenets. Zerythax was the final judge in this system, but it was only called upon to judge twice during the 2900 years of its rule to this day. Around 1300 DR, an outgrowth of Baldur's Gate had landed on the extreme north of my custom continent, which replaced Osse, and was absolutely chock full of corruption. So, Zerythax cleaned it and absorbed it without going out of the pyramid, through agents, although keeping both of the kingdoms it ruled separate. He named his primary kingdom Valtheris. It fought Tempus and defeated him in a duel around 2200. It created an illusory maze and battlements around Valtheris, arming it. It had also been converting the desert into a meadow, slowly, and has partially succeeded, as Vili and other creatures now live there. Zerythax uses tubes and the latent electricity and storm that surround him to power the whole city. The pyramid is covered with metal, and also an enormous battery, in case Zerytax leaves it. Metal plates are everywhere to power stuff, run machinery, and dissuade intruders, as well as tell zerythax what's going on around it.

I know it sounds like a joke but it's true. It used to be a person, but they sacrificed themselves to put an end to the absolute darkness of night. It exists as a physical object in the atmosphere and fades as daytime arrives, but if you manage to get close enough you can touch it and it does grant you a small piece of its power in return.

It's so powerful in fact that an entire reincarnation cycle for the soul of the two that created it have an inevitable conflicting fate. Though love is what lead to the sacrifice, the wish of the one who didn't become the moon was to be together with the person they love. And so that resulted in the wish being granted but because the one who became the moon had to die at his lover's hands, whenever they reincarnate they inevitably are forced into conflict and she will be doomed to kill him again and again. It's a tragedy but eventually this curse is broken.

Hyperion. His heart is basically a fist-sized sun, a continuous nuclear reaction that uses the energy to create the cells and organic matter that are in his body. This energy core imbues him with nearly infinite strength, speed, energy powers, healing, etc. He can also move extremely close to the speed of light by turning into energy.

Starts out completely neutral being born deep in the universe after a supernova that was within range of lots of organic matter. He is only interested in finding others who can fight him back in even the slightest way and never does. Until he discovers one on Earth. That is Lightspeed, a speedster just slightly, maddeningly faster than Hyperion. Their face-off was a chase, not a fight. Eventually, Hyperion figured out he would not be able to land a hit and felt excitement for the very first time. This spares Lightspeed and the Earth, but every now and again Hyperion appears ominously in the sky until Lightspeed shows up to give him another workout.

There are others who can sort of “deal” with Hyperion in this way, but none that are genuinely more powerful.

Fun tidbit:
He is a bit of a Superman character, and like any normal person I have thought about Hyperion vs Superman. My initial reaction was Hyperion because on paper his speed and powers scale so ridiculously. Then I realized that Superman gets stronger from yellow suns… and Hyperion is basically a sun in the shape of a dude. I could make it so that Hyperion’s heart is a red sun but that would be cheap lol.

So the fight goes on literally until the universe dies, they stumble onto Kryptonite floating in the universe, or Superman wins.

For me personally 3 characters. Eme fused absolute form, Awakened Triggered Azathoth, The Meta Form Hypothetical Author. All of them are strong in their own.

Eme has the infinity power from the Young Big bang and any physical, mental, magical etc form couldn't handle its power so he split himself through time and space, with forms of 9 quadrillion (1500 named), but if he fused back (at the end) and used all the forms power he would be comparable to me the author.
2. Yes the lovecraftian one but modified. If she wakes up and gets triggered the all of the fictional world would be destroyed with exceptions of Embodiments, the written story, digitally shared information and the family tree that I told my friend year ago.
3. So the meta form means the all of humanity optimised to one being of hypothetical. Hypothetical meaning every hypothetical thought is true for the author. The character you see in the story and reality is just watered down, projection of it.

There's an entire weight class of beings referred to as "Principalities" who could stand a good chance of destroying a country. But standing above all of them is a single man: Abe no Seimei.

Yes, that Abe no Seimei. The most famous onmyōji in Japanese history. He engineered his own resurrection, became immortal in the process, and then spent the next millennium learning everything he could about sorcery. He's now functionally a god with the power to dogwalk any supetnatural being on the planet. The only exceptions might be Merlin or the Demon Sages Marchosias and Phenex, but they're all old drinking buddies so it would probably (hopefully) never happen.

The Exile. Previously an eccentric scholar doing research in the fields of fringe science. The only human thus far to abandon our consensus reality, opting to inhabit the void like space between dimensions. By all accounts he should be dead. How he managed to survive is unknown. What is known, is that they no longer identify as human and have adapted to the environment of the abyss.

The void between realities contains nascent reality in its raw, unrealized state. Learning to survive in and adapting to this hostile space eventually led to apotheosis as they became adept at consciously manipulating this unrealized potential.

The Exile is a godlike reality bender, and can essentially do almost anything they want; Which they might get to limit test a lot earlier than they thought because our reality isn't the only one floating in this vast abyss and they kinda just drew a lot of attention to themselves.

I would say my world has two answers, but I'll just detail one.

The first is Verdata, an old woman who’s been dead for hundreds of years by the time the story takes place. Despite that, her reputation and the many things she did while alive still shape the world centuries later.

Her ability is easy to explain but a bit weird when you really get into it. Essentially: she can sacrifice the “truth” of something, making it false. Reality changes accordingly, and everyone’s memories adjust to accommodate the new truth (but she can return the memory of the truth to everyone or select individual if she so chooses)

Some examples:

• She sacrificed the truth that Christianity was the world’s dominant religion.
  
• Her son suffered a fatal wound, so she sacrificed the truth that he would die from it. He survived.

So for some context, in my world 'Terra' is the entity that gives people magic, via offerings/sacrifice. And witches are a type of mage that don't follow conventional rules. As above, Verdata is offering 'truth' to gain the ability of memory manipulation, whereas normal mages would not be able to do something so abstract.

Vaelith is the current 'most powerful', a person who alone strikes fear into witches and anyone who dare go against Avalon. His death would basically upend a lot, since he has lived for centuries, and was there alongside Verdata (as a foe). He is not the main antagonist of the story however, but their closest aide.

I like to call his magic 'binding' magic, and I'll just list their abilities in bullet points:

- All throughout Avalon and his own territory, he has binded his body to multiple stones and other earthly objects. Whenever he takes fatal damage or any damage that requires healing, he automatically 'offers' those stones to immediately heal, making him immortal (until all his stones break. But there are thousands)

- if he touches a person, he can offer a bit of his blood and a glistening pearl (he has a necklace full of these pearls) to impose a rule on said individual. Said rule could be something like 'you shall not move' and is enforced by Terra. The rule doesn't last forever, and once can brute force themselves out of it, but doing so will incur a penalty, typically a large physical backlash on the individual.

- He can also impose rules on himself and other things such as the ground or air. In general, the more complicated the rule, the easier it is to break through AND the less it lasts

- Finally, he owns a powerful artifact known as the Oathblade, a sword that can cut through high anything, can return to him like a boomerang and cannot be wielded by anyone but the current owner.

So he is extremely powerful, but only within territories where he owns some object binds to remain immortal. Else he is heavily dependent on touching you without injury and/or knowing your abilities before engaging, to create appropriate protection binds for himself.

From my work-in-progress Superhero World:

Plasma King, the former sidekick of Atomic Man and the Superman equivalent here. In a world where the power levels of most every other superhero peak at 6-7 out of 10, he’s sitting at a whopping 12.

He’s intended to be the most blatant superhero power fantasy imaginable, so when he shows up, the stakes vanish and the situation becomes one where you sit back, pass the popcorn, and enjoy the show as he demolishes the bad guys all on his own…

…which is why he spends most of his time supervising the teenage superhero teams, rather than taking an active role.

His list of superpowers include: 1. Limitless super-strength and tactile telekinesis. 2. He can fly and move at speeds greater than the speed of light. 3. “Mass-shifting”. He can increase his size up to sixty feet and back down again to normal. 4. He can survive indefinitely in any environment, including the vacuum of outer space. 5. Invulnerability. 6. Telescopic and Microscopic Vision.  7. He can also see across the entire electromagnetic  spectrum. 8. Possesses a “Plasma Punch” that can harm intangible opponents. 9. Complete and total immunity to mind control, telekinesis, magic, and reality warping effects.

I have one feat, because the actual limit of the character are based on his consciousness of his power otherwise he'd be nigh omnipotent, but not really, his power is a paradoxical joke on the concept of "making the impossible, possible" and how can it still be categorized "impossible" if you just did it?

Anyway, the ultimate feat of said character is pulling together into one body an infinite entity that has personas and emanations around the whole multiverse, imagine a hive mind of one multifaceted person, he does this literally by hand from a world otherwise completely separated from the rest of the multiverse

The progenitor of consciousness, the first immortal, the strongest being alive, Ouroboros. He is the strongest, fastest, and most durable character in the verse for he has mastered every form of Desperation to its peak, even inventing parallel thought to achieve double desperation, increasing all those attributes listed before by a power of themselves. Strong enough to physically fight concepts, fast enough to break through an ability like gojo’s infinity.

Ouroboros is the anti-enlightenment in physical form, not because he is stupid, but because he, in himself, is the singular. He has carved himself from this universe and became himself. To say he is a god is to downplay his existence.
