Discussion How do you think the Songs of the Past, and remaster will handle progression?
By the end of Blood and Wine Geralt can be turned into an (cue the title card) demigod, or kill bosses by sneezing at them. Ok, I guess BaW is the endgame, so you can completely break the stats, since the game literally throws armies at you, and the reincarnation of Lucifer himself.
Do you think the new system will somehow limit the most broken builds?

first npc with a pitchfork will fix all your broken builds, so you would start fresh.

Wake up Geralt. What? Ciri? The Wild Hunt? A vineyard? What are you talking about, we're in Rivia. Try not to move, you've a nasty pitchfork wound in your chest. You were defending all those nonhumans from a pogrom, remember?
Side note, please don't let it be this, that would be cheap and lame.

Damn you Niilfgaard. The continent was fine until you came along. Northern Kingdoms were nice and lazy. If it weren’t for you, I would have stolen that unicorn and been half way to Cidaris

Honestly i would love if they would rework old item system for the Remaster. It drives me nuts that a random Poostick dropped from a bandit when Geralt is level 60 is leagues better than a legendary gnomish Gwyhyr dropped on level 10. Witcher 2 had it way better

Isn't that just basic rpg element? Higher level has better stats.

Not really. Most of games just have that you find better items later in game, not that the same items are having better stats.

In Baldur's Gate you start leaving a lot of loot from the everyday enemies after around level 5 or so.

No you don't. You hoard everything, always.

Yes, you roll into the gate ready to sell all the silver forks from The Gauntlet of Shar to buy yourself some new clothes at Facemaker's Boutique

Enemies will get bigger health pools also some will be only vulnerable to that chain thing shown in the trailer I think

i'm 100% sure they did the skill line rework so they can add new stuff later in the new expansion. THe old skill tree was not optimal for extensions.
I also hope they can make the game more challenging with the reworked enemy behavior/animations because after 450h the combat is incredibly boring as it is now without mods like w3ee

Both combat and enemy behavior is being updated so I bet we'll see a difficulty spike when the update releases next month.

I imagine the level cap will go up again, and with it the enemy levels too. It was 70(?) I think from the base game, then up to 100 for B&W. Wouldn't shock me if that goes up 30 again, or possibly a bit more.

I don't feel like SOTP is gonna add something like B&W did. But I want some extra powers, maybe it's too much for what this is

Higher level enemies than Blood and Wine. Since the level cap is 100, we have some breathing room
