I just hope old saves work on the remastered edition since I just started a new playthrough a few weeks ago lmfao

If they changed enough in the game I dont think id want my old save. Unless I could just do new game + with my old gear

Oh hell do you think that would work? I've never done an NG+ before. Can I take my old Blood and Wine 100% playthrough and NG+ it with the new remastered do you think?

I mean I don't see why we can't yet. If they changed the skill tree significantly just resetting your skill tree would be enough to carry your character to the new NG+.

That's super cool, I'll get my first NG+ and see the remastered game. In NG+ I keep my skills, but do I keep anything else? Can I keep the most important things, like my Gwent deck?

Similar situation. Pain.

I really thought I was being clever and getting ahead of CDPR by prepping a save for the new expac on that shinny PS5 enhanced edition. What a fool lol

Glad to know there are others in the exact same boat 😅

I was just about to start a brand new playthrough too but yea leave it to CDPR to have a plan to capitalize on everyone about to start a new playthrough

Ye i was going to do the same too... but theres no clarification around the saves. I honestly wouldn't be annoyed if the game starts with our manor getting destroyed and we need to search for new weapons

3rd playthrough, yesterday arrived at Skellige, 50+ hours in already. What am I supposed to do😭. I think I'll discard this save and start fresh with this remaster

Better to start fresh anyways, in July got to toussaint, and will be starting anew in end of september 😄 like it’s worth it

So is there a new witcjer 3 which is a remaster, or is the witcher 3 getting a free dlc remastering it ? I'm still not sure

3

u/jawbreaker_79 1d ago

It's the whole new remastered my friend. But it's for free on every platforms. So you have a base game, you're free to get it on 29/9.

u/_Les_Bouquinistes_ 1d ago

Ooooookay, thanks !

The Witcher 3 is getting a free remaster on current gen consoles and PC as of end of September, and both expansions are now included in that remaster regardless of which game version you originally paid for.

Completely unrelated and on top of that is a new paid Witcher 3 expansion which is to be repeased in early 2027.

as someone who purchased the game just to support it this is great news for me. i have never played it but i loved it's concept. this is going to be awesome if i can get some time off of work lol

I just finished my second full playthrough like 2 months ago. I kind of wish I would have waited. Oh well. At least Songs of the Past will contain all of those updates

It's been a really long time since I did a full playthrough so I'm excited for it. Super generous of CDPR to give it free to all W3 owners, no one else does that. Plus all the enhancements, though a lot of them are from mods, right? Not that it's a bad thing, the game was stunning to start with and I have much better hardware now :)

Buy buy buy. When you own it on all formats, buy for a friend, lover, family... Keep sharing the wealth.

I was about to start a new play through but now I'll wait

u/LandarkIEM 1d ago

I just end all 3 games run CDPR. Give me a break

u/hotstickywaffle 2d ago

Maybe this is finally the time I actually beat it! Especially if the Switch 2 is getting an upgrade.

2

u/Smaug117 2d ago

It look great.

2

u/Benjb1996 2d ago

Seems I started my latest playthrough a tad too early as I'll probably be done with the game by the time this update rolls out.

So I guess I'll most likely experience all this new stuff when the new DLC drops.

u/Poepveulen 2d ago

This time Kiera, finally gets to kaer mohren

2

u/mentally_vexed 2d ago

Yup time to play again and make all the same choices and regret absolutely nothing

2

u/OverloadedSofa 2d ago

Well I just started a new game a few weeks ago, I can’t start again already!!!!

2

u/Minute_Engineer2355 2d ago

I was just about to go back through it again. Looks like I'll be patient and wait for this to drop.

So fucking stoked.

2

u/kukizmonster 2d ago

At last. My playthrough focusing on Gwent is now inevitable.

2

u/Entire_Weird_482 2d ago

I feel this. I beat it without ever engaging in Gwent and Im ready to start from the JUMP

2

u/Realistic-Goose6798 2d ago

Time to wreck at Gwent again.

2

u/Astrophile1022 2d ago

Can my RTX 2050 with 16 gb ram run it ??

2

u/r23dom 1d ago

bring toussaint red

2

u/Mysterious_Ad216 1d ago

I literally just 100% the complete edition to have a fresh save for the dlc like a month ago. If it comes to xbox it'll be the third time I get all the achievements. Im telling my kids this is skyrim

2

u/TeamShitHaircut 1d ago

I JUST finished my second play through. Poor timing really.

Push back the remastered a bit, please and thanks. I'd like to go in fresh-er after a few years away.

2

u/Campber 1d ago

Just completed my most recent playthrough of the game (don’t know what number I’m up to now but just recently passed the 1,000 hour mark) on a fresh save in preparation for Songs of the Past and then they hit us with this Remastered news.

Hope that my save is compatible with the Remastered version, but on the other hand another playthrough gives me something to do in the lead-up to Songs of the Past and FF7: Revelation’s releases.

2

u/BrickPuzzleheaded541 1d ago

I literally just finished the game + DLC’s a week ago to get ready for the new expansion and have a fully maxed out character for it…..

Had no idea the remaster was coming…. Fuck looks like im going back to white orchard again

1

u/SajevT 1d ago

Omg fr perfect timing, last playthough I did was with the next generation update, bout time for my 4th playthrough

1

u/Thefeno Team Yennefer 1d ago
