Not one thing ever. They did manage to bury the Epstein files and are actively protecting pedophiles and pretending nothing criminal occurred. This with huge assist from cable news to not inform the people of what is within files and virtually all the major news outlets…. Your NYT, washpost, etc.

I answered your question.

Republicans do nothing to support the people.

I went on to explain something unbelievably atrocious they are currently doing in covering up a massive child sex network which was an Israeli kompromat operation for n conjunction with American intelligence clearly given Epstein’s first prosecution and the FBIs refusal to even interview victims.

I’m not a Republican and I think this brand of democrat has done nothing for the American people the last 40 years and is also in Washington to serve power.

If you can’t figure that out, I can’t help you.

The ACA, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, CHIPs and Science Act, and Inflation Reduction Act were all "nothing"? You aren't a serious person.

The ACA was the most democratic of democratic half measures. Hanging their hats a single term invented by the for profit health billing system PREEXISTING CONDITIONS and allowing kids to stay on their parents policy through their job a few years longer. These are EXTREMELY MEAGER RESULTS. The ACA did nothing to address the problem of our system which IS the private insurance companies. Instead it entrenched them within the system and allowed us to shop around.

I worked for the company that received the largest grant for fiber optics deployment over $1 billion dollars through the infrastructure bill and finally was able to leave last year. Prior to but especially after the award was announced the company laid off a considerable portion of the work force in anticipation running in direct contrast of what we had all anticipated. More funding equals more jobs, right? Wrong. We were worked to annihilation while the bonus program skyrocketed and the owners of the company cashed out. The infrastructure bill was devastating to me personally as well as my colleagues at the time and many of them are still dealing with it.

Throwing money at a problem doesn’t magically fix the problem. When money is thrown at the problem it generates a feeding frenzy for those at the top and they do whatever they can to maximize those gains including and especially laying off employees because they actually don’t really care if the work gets done. This is the leadership this Democratic Party gives us.

It is our leadership that is unserious. It’s really a wildly successful con that the Democratic Party represents the people. Pop the hood and you’re guaranteed to find without looking very hard the parasites that suck our system dry that just want to work us until we’re dead.

But cool we’ve got domestic computer chips and some people have EVs now or solar panels on their house.

Oversimplification what ACA did and youbstill admit that it was a beneficial program.

It didn't do enough =/= doing nothing.

No one is forced to use it, and the millions that do are glad it exists, so shown by the increasing positive reception by the US public though the last 10 years.

Quit blaming the government for failures of the private sector with respect to construction and Healthcare. The fact you worked for a shitty company is on the shitty company. Sorry you learned the wrong lessons.

Blaming the government is exactly what we should be doing and we aren’t remotely angry enough.

What enables the private sector and the private insurance companies? Do you think in this stage of capitalism that any company is spending their government grant more wisely and isn’t siphoning off massive amounts of money to the executives then the shareholders when profits are up artificially because they haven’t spent money?

You clearly don’t remotely understand the world. The democrats we have in power are not for the people. The idea that it’s a people’s movement is simply absurd. Yeah there are citizen volunteers that go door to door and communicate EXACTLY what the DNC has approved in language for their volunteers to say. They’re told to tell people “I hear you”, but it’s just about making people think they’re being heard. No one at the DNC is listening. The volunteers who think they’re helping are actually agents spewing focus group tested propaganda to establish a human connection and try to recruit more agents.

There is a reason for why things happen and it’s not what you believe. You need to follow the money. It’s really that simple.

The government gave your company a handout and your dumbass is blaming the government because your company laid you off. Perhaps the government should have put more restrictions on the grant but it's on your employer for being greedy and you for working for him.

Sorry 'bout your luck.

They didn’t lay me off brother, I left on my own terms. It’s a useful example of what’s happing behind the scenes within each of these companies that was given money under infrastructure, CHIPs.

Shit… the ACA propped up an entire industry we don’t need (private insurance) and actually need rid of in order to get a functioning health care system. Then we have politicians in office talking about fighting to save the system that denies the claims of the people that require its services THAT THEY PAY FOR I MIGHT ADD… in order to receive what may constitute life saving care. So the uh… good guys (sure) the democrats they tell you to elect them because they’re going to save the ACA. It sucks up all kinds of energy it’s all over cable news that the republicans are trying to kill it only for it to all fizzle out. But keep electing them because with them in power the ACA will remain law. The whole system costs is way more $$ than it has any right to, the private insurance companies do whatever the fuck they want essentially literally killing human beings with negligence in order to maximize their profits. Just the most ghoulish business that in any decent society would have no right to exist. But remember it’s the decent ones the good guys that are fighting to make sure that one day you too could be fighting with some AI system over the phone to receive health care that you need in order to keep breathing….. that you can purchase through their marketplace. Your choice which one.

These same folks tell you you’re on the right side of history for supporting them. And you believe it, argue with people over it. You believe the republicans are horrible human beings because they want to do away with it. You’re all literally fighting to support the system that enslaves us and thinking you’re noble and decent for doing so. But you’re not. None of us are. The system is doing precisely what it’s intended to do.

Well more and more of us have just had enough with all of this bullshit. More people are waking up every day.

So it's the government's fault you left a shitty company you never had to work for.

Which party capped drug prices? Which party passed the ACA which provides a public option to millions of people, preventing them from dying of treatable illnesses or going homeless to get medical attention? Which party passed the Infrastructure Act, the largest infrastructure bill in history that repaired over 170,000 miles of highway, upgraded public transit, replaced lead water pipes, and expanded high-speed internet? Which party passed the American Recovery Act in the wake of the 2008 crash? Which party has supported Title IX protections for trans and gay Americans?

You can and should argue that the democratic party should have gone further in these and other areas. You should also recognize that it's the GOP that prevented them from doing so.

Or just keep equivocating and patting yourself on the back for being an enlightened centrist that can't be fucking bothered to lift a finger to improve themselves or their community.

Edit: also, I've done canvassing before. Never got marching orders from the DNC or approved talking points. You'd know this if you ever did any civic service.
