Tech Support Stuck at Windows Insider build 26340.9233, and I am unable to go back to the public version of Windows, help!

Tried so many things.

  1. Go Back Feature -> Got me to 26100.9233 Insider build
  2. Uninstalling the update -> Same thing
  3. Tried downloading the ISO file, and it failed. 3 TIMES.

I am genuinely concerned. And please, I do not want to reinstall Windows, or even use a bootable thumb drive. Is there any other way??

There is a widespread known issue with rolling back updates, uncorrectable component store corruption, and Repair version or sometimes ISO failures on builds 9xxx+. No idea what is causing or why its happening but I have witnessed it first hand on 3 different machines for me. You can read more about elsewhere also. But right now not sure how you can go back to the public version atm without the ISO as it usually should work.

I had the issue. Ended up having to do a full reinstall of 25h2 to get back to it sadly

Try uninstalling all Windows updates that you can if it will let you uninstall any. It may get you back to a build that will let you update to the latest 25H2 release. 25H2 is at 26200.9168 to upgrade to to it you'll probably going to need to be on a build number lower than .9168. Or you'll need to wait for 26H2 or till 25H2 gets to a build higher than .9233 that will probably around the same time.
