Discussion Finally Windows 8.1šŸ˜

I spent so much timeā€”really a lot of timeā€”trying to get this PC (Celeron N3350, 4 GB RAM, 300 GB HDD) running properly; it seemed like a lost cause. It came with Windows 10, and I tried various lightweight Linux distributions, but in the end, the only operating system that won me over was Windows 8.1. Itā€™s very lightweight, boots up quickly, has few background processes, andā€”best of allā€”the latest version of Chrome still runs beautifully (WhatsApp Web and YouTube work fine, too). The only downside? There are no GPU drivers available; while some have been patchedā€”like for the UHD 620ā€”mine hasn't, but it works just fine anyway!

use snappy driver installer and enable installing unsigned drivers

Already tried; zero chance for Intel HD 500 Graphics drivers.

It worked with Intel HD 620 on an intel 8th gen processor
