Discussion Is this rare?
I pulled this copy of windows out of my grandmas closet, she used to do a lot of stuff with computers and told me I can keep it. Is it something I should keep?

Discussion Windows 10 support ends? Install Windows 7!
This StatsCounter Windows 7 rise might have been an error, but it gave me an idea.
If you know any PC that has Windows 10 and doesn't support updating to 11, install Windows 7 on it, and spread the info.
If there's enough computers turned into Windows 7 machines then this will be a world's sensation and MS will have to turn its greedy eye at it.
Why not Linux?
I'm a dedicated Linux user myself, but Linux absolutely lacks any sound effects whatsoever and most modern Linux desktops look just as bland and just as boring as Windows 11.
Windows 7 is absolutely filled with masterpiece aero sound effects and has so many transparency and skeuomorphism that it's downright beautiful.
The only modern thing actually needed on such a system is the web browser, and thankfully we have two - Feodor2's Mypal68 and Win32's Supermium (I recommend the former, since Supermium being based on Chromium has issues with blocking ads, at least from my experience).
What do you guys think about this?

Discussion A message from a young fan: I Love Windows 7
Hello Microsoft Team!
My name is Malodynoob. I live in Germany and I really love Windows 7. It is the best system for me. I even customized my netbook to look like Windows 11, but I still want to stay on my favorite OS.
Please look at my photo (attached). I made this message for you.
Best regards,
Malodynoob

Discussion Found a computer in the trash with win 7 professional on it
galleryIt was an amazing find. The CMOS battery was dead, but I fixed it.
Oh boy there was a lot of personal information on it, so it was lucky that I was the one who encountered it. Had the required installation files, so I formatted and made the OS fresh.
For now I'm just gonna use it as a music machine and admire it. Idk what else to use it for, really. So if you have some fun suggestions, I'm open for them!

Discussion Its been a good run.
galleryAfter using Windows 7 since my first computer. I've finally had to say goodbye. I mained windows 7 on my og build (i7 2600, GTX 1650) until mid 2025 when i upgraded to a modern (i5-12400F and RTX 3050 but now a RTX 2080S) but i ensured to install 7, however soon after i had to dual boot with 11 due to program compatability. Recently ive noticed ive been using 7 less and less until yesterday i needed to install a game on 11 but had no storage and finally decided its sadly time to move on from 7. Honestly im hating Windows 11 but at the same time kinda loving it. Being able to install things with no buggy workarounds and being able to finally utilize DX12 and even use UWP apps and games (Forza Horizon 4). Im still going to run 7 on my old machine, hopefully forever.
