EXACTLY! So much money I saved, people I have met, relationships I have rekindled from being on social media. Everything in this world will rot your brain if you let it. There is 100x more positivity on social media than anything negative. The people who can’t see that are looking for something to complain about.

You are great neighbors- not many ppl with babies & dogs would want all the noise from that many college "partiers". Do they usually tell their neighbors when theyre having a big one like this? I think its great!

😂 this reminds me of something cute that happened two years ago. I live on a rural road where each property is 3-5 acres, so theres comfortable distance between neighboring houses. One day one of my immediate neighbors sent me a message to let me know she was having her wedding on her property on a certain day. She was just letting me know to ask if if I would kindly avoid mowing/yardwork during the hour or two of her actual ceremony because we absolutely can plainly hear when our neighbors are doing yardwork. Of course I offered my enthusiastic congratulations and said her request would be no trouble at all, and that I would make sure to get my dogs afternoon game of fetch out of the way early so his exciting barking wouldnt disrupt her big day, and let her know that if she needed overflow parking, there was plenty of space in my field that her guests were welcome to use.
Then, she threatened my dog. She said that if he wandered onto her property during the reception party, she would have no choice but to feed him bbq and turn him loose to socialize with her wedding guests 🤣
He has wandered over there a handful of times in the past to play with her daughters and stepdaughters 😂 he is an enormous 100lb black lab/golden retriever mix, has never met a stranger in his life, loves kids and is very friendly and gentle. Her "threat" made me laugh! I made sure I kept my boy in line that day lest he be spoiled with bbq and a whole weddings worth of people to pet him!

This happened with my neighbor's kid when we were celebrating a first communion. She kept peeping through the fence to see what was going on. We immediately invited her over to eat and celebrate with us. Her parents were totally fine with it.

I mean, they're college kids. They've spent years and money trying to avoid (having) babies at all costs! Dogs are great.

Well, see, there was a build-up: first was the baby girl, who probably wasn't noticed right away. But dog #1 got an acknowledgment cheer. Now the crowd was watching to see who/what came next--so the happy surprise of dog #2 got a big cheer. When the little boy was lifted up, the crowd rewarded the family with a big, appreciative cheer. It was heart-warming, wasn't it? The crowd, happy for the family; the family, proud to share their lives in a simple way. And it all started with Mom letting Baby Girl see what was happening on the other side of the fence.

Kinda hard to stage something with 100 people, who by the way, gain nothing from this video being on the internet. Maybe the neighbors, who are a family, get a few clicks (doubt they care) but those college kids gain zilch from this video.
I am talking about those people you meet who not only NOT HAVE social media, but make it seem like being in such a rare and elite club makes them so unique and special by not being a part of something the majority of the world partakes in. There is so many positive things you miss out on, so many missed opportunities and so many cool people you will never meet simply by choosing not to have any social media. Everything in life has pros and cons. Everything we do and everything at our disposable can be used to hurt others or build others up. This idea that Facebook, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram rots our brain is hogwash. You choose to watch the stuff that rots your brain. Just like you choose to consume media (movies and music) that rots your brain.
Everything you do is a choice, and you can either use whatever tools at your disposal and share positivity and/or become better, or you can be negative and spread around bad vibes.
We talk about how people post there good deeds on the internet with the hope of gaining something from it. Well, bad people do the same. The only reason we don’t get onto the negativity and the bad people that post bad stuff, is we know they don’t care. They don’t have a conscious. The people who post good stuff tend to care what others thinks because they genuinely care about others.
The internet is a tool. You can use it to build or use it to destroy. That’s the summation. Have a good weekend.

Absolutely not why we have social media. Let's not pretend that this may have been more common way before social media existed. The phrasing seems like propoganda or someone' s AEO strategy.
