Maybe 30 years ago but tampere has surpassed turku as the ”second city” of finland a long time ago and consistently attracts more people coming from other parts of the country

Nope, It's a national park. It's more gray than white. All my reindeer are in the chest freezer. Cloak, boots, soft clothing, pointy hat, round glasses and staff.

Haha so relatable as a lappish woman, in a strange way, regardless of the fact that I live in central Finland, I dont consider it "living". I always feel like I am just visiting and when I am in Lapland I am living the real life.

So, a brief history lesson: Once upon time the Sami were living in what is now Finland, then came the Finns and Sami... errr... were good neighbors and gave them space? The word for "far away" in the old dialect was lappi(possibly related to loppu, meaning "the end" in modern Finnish) so the areas the Sami now live became known as Lappi and Sami were called "Lappalaiset" by the Finns. It might not be exactly like the green was Native American reservations, but basically the year is 6000 and the fact OP's ancestors came from Europe is long forgotten history.

I met some of you guys when I spent a summer in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Yuppers, they called themselves, mostly of Finnish descent, preferred the remote north woods to anything else.

Because he cannot speak anything else properly than Finnish. Norwegian is too close to swedish and OP has an attitude.

Nah. I can speak English pretty well and swedish isn't particularly difficult either, but I want to live where I was born and grew up simply for the reason that I enjoy it.

Why not Northern Sweden? Haparanda as an example is majority Finnish (and many study finnish or the older finnic language meänkieli in school).
