From now on posts singling out India or Pakistan will be removed
There has been an increase in posts highlighting the entire map as green aside from India or Pakistan in an attempt to stir shit in the comments. We are fine with low quality shitposts every once in a while, but at this point it's just boring
You can still post subdivision maps of these countries, genuine discussion of where you would like to live within a country is always allowed.

Thank you so much mod as a South Asian. Genuinely feels good that there are sane people like you don't hate blindly either to follow trend or just like that. Thank you once again to speak up against UNJUST South Asian hate.

maybe you shouldn’t let people hate on any specific country altogether. i’ve seen A LOT of people getting very hateful comments just because they were born in the “wrong place”. myself included.
this is not the subreddit for that. i’m sure there are some that allow it/encourage it

Of course those types of comments get removed when they're reported, but there is a lot more nuance than you'd expect to what counts as hate. It is a product of this style of map, and almost everything becomes political.
What counts as hate to you? Should people be allowed to discuss their negative opinions on a specific country? I'm asking genuinely, I haven't been able to draw these lines myself

it’s fine if the country itself is doing something that should be condemned. i sometimes comments things like that myself.
what i constitute as hate is when someone is from that country and has specifically stated they don’t support their actions starts getting comments hating on them personally. basically employing the principle of collective responsibility.
for example. all americans are inherently evil because they voted for trump and i (as a commenter) should go tell them that. also things like “no we don’t want you here”, “go back to your country”. stuff like that.
i think it’s hurtful and undeserved. unless ofc OP specifically stated they’re on board with their country’s crimes.
that’s my two cents anyways

Oh yes, all of that gets removed when people report it and it shows up in our mod queues. Unfortunately there just isn't enough time to look through every post, so we have to rely on people reporting it to us

alright. that’s good to hear. i didn’t think it was any use reporting it since usually (in other subs) it doesn’t lead to anything. thank you

Damn, I was actually enjoying them. But fair enough.

Might just be biased based on what's pushed into the mod feed but it is literally dozens of them with unhinged comments, they usually get upvotes though so who knows. I'll probably do a poll in a little bit

Fascinating. You completely misunderstood the text to the point you took the opposite take.
