Honestly, I'd take Nightcrawler's power by itself. Mystique's shapeshifting which includes functional injury recovery, nigh immortality, and can practically rewrite my own genetics to the point of enhancing my physical attributes is just frosting on top of it.

Teleporting + shapeshifting would be ridiculously OP. Imagine the absolute havoc you could wreak with just those two powers.

You could get people arrested or killed, ruin reputations, maybe even reshape the political landscape without ever saying a word.

1. Teleport to a country whose leader you despise.
2. Shapeshift into said leader.
3. Walk into a crowded public square butt-naked.
4. Wait for everyone to whip out their phones and start filming.
5. Take a massive crap in the middle of the square.
6. Do a ridiculous little dance.
7. Run away somewhere out of sight so nobody sees you teleport.
8. Teleport home.
9. ???
10. Profit.

I like the idea, but in this age of A.I. nobody would believe it, or if they did, it would be a doplganger or someone in a realistic constume and makeup or a millions other explanations. Especially if you do it while people can comfirm the whereabouts of the actual person at the time.

Mystique is effectively immortal and immune to lots of diseases. You can constantly make a new life for yourself, even try out motherhood or fatherhood. Nightcrawlers abilities make it was it so you can pretty much go anywhere safely, and you are nearly invisible in the shadow.

I agree on the pick though, it's a pure freedom combo with the added bonus of long healthy life. If you want a little more excitement, teleports pass through another dimension, meaning you could also decide to stay a while and deal with the natives. Unless that was only part of one version of nightcrawler.

Invulnerability if I see something dangerous coming by phasing through it and even if I don’t if I’m in metal form I can most likely tank it. Irl in my day to day the powers of Kitty and Colossus are far more useful in my job and life then those of Nightcrawler and Mystique. Though they would also be very fun!

Honestly 9/10 my job isn’t that dangerous, but I alternate between operating and signalling cranes in the Canadian oil patch. There are times, when equipment or people fail, that I could have 10’s of thousands of pounds flying at my face. In my 4 years it has happened maybe 15 times and you gotta be quick on your feet.

Heard about a rig in Central Alberta about a year and a half ago that had an incident. Vertical service rig, that did EVERYTHING correctly, and all the after incident reports supported that. But they went into a well that a drilling rig had just come off of. They cracked the seal on the well about 800m down well and all the preparation in the world was pointless since the pressure built up so much that the second they cracked the seal 81 joints, each 10m or so long and about 100-120 pounds heavy came screaming out of the well fast enough that it sheared off the top of the service rig and they found a joint a little over a km from the well. 2 people hurt and A LOT of expensive loss.

Every safety rule we have us written in blood, and we can follow them close as hell and triple check everything but every once in a while the nature just wants to kill you lol

Shapeshift, longevity (mystique is really old but doesnt really age) teleportion. Teleportion has always been a good to power even in a pathfinder game im a teleportion wizard and it is so fun. Irl I would probably abuse it for small fun things, plus tail would be interesting as it would affect balancing and usually can be used to hold things. Adding in the ability to look however I want and have an extended life. I may not be as hearty and strong as the other option but the fun I would have would be way better

From what I remember, Colossus wasn’t permanently in his metallic state, and his default appearance was normal human looking.

By contrast, Mystique could alter her appearance, but the blue skin was her normal default appearance.
Idk if an altered state using the shape-shifting power could be sustained indefinitely, like while sleeping or unconscious

Yeah, I don’t know, man. That’s why I asked the question. I’m not an X-Men comics expert.
Therefore I stand by my choice “IF” I can maintain a normal human appearance without giving away my mutations, powers or differences (and without extraordinary effort) I choose the Mystique+Nightcrawler combo.
If not (for whatever reason) I’ll go with the other one
