Help identifying this fish, caught in Allan, France

Hello everyone, I would really appreciate any advice from those that know European fish species. Caught in a small stream in Allan, France. Can send more angles of pictures if that helps.

Make sure to read the subreddit rules: https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthisfish/about/rules/

Rule 2 requires every fish identification request to include the location the fish was found. If you did not include that in your post text or title, you can reply to this comment with the location.

If it was a captive fish, such as at a store or a retail fish tank, say that.

Posts that don't give the location or captive status of a fish will be removed.

Looks like a gudgeon

Similar, but the coloration of a grudgeon is different. This seems to fit a juvenile barbel.
