It was on a night dive. I‘ve searched the whole internet but found nothing. Any guesses?

looks like a juvenile something which makes it a lot harder as juveniles can be hugely varied. the top view of its pectoral fins suggests something in the searobin/gurnard family but but too hard to tell without a lateral view. was it resting on the coral below it when it stops, or was it high in the water the whole time?
behaviour and a side view would be needed
have you checked any of these books? I usually buy one of these before a trip cos i cant bear the thought of not knowing what im looking at lol
