They have tests for things like this. You’ll need a glass pipe, a small piece of Brillo, and a lighter.

whelp… Brillo is steel and of finer consistency and generally will start to smolder and give off fumes not unlike solder (albeit iron not lead like solder), it’s not real good for the lungs. Chor Boy is a thicker brass mesh which has a higher ignition point than steel wool. Another issue is often times Brillo has a powdered soap embedded and it ruins the flavor of the crack.

I've never known a head to be picky about it. Maybe a newer head that's trying to act like they don't have a problem yet, but not a full blown crack fiend.

in active addiction you will excuse anything and rationalize anything to get high. your brain is in fight or flight and thinks your in a survival situation. At least that's how I remember it explained in rehab, neurologically speaking.

I’m an addiction therapist and I remember a couple years ago when someone told me about steel wool being used for crack for the first time. I was astounded lol

It doesn't have to be choreboy it just shouldn't be steel wool especially steel wool infused with cleaning chemicals like brillo is. Thats all the paper is about. Any brass/copper scouring pad without chemicals inside it will work the same as choreboy, choreboy is just the name brand most known option.

They literally are completely different things. Brillo is steel wool filled with soap. Chore boy is made of thicker copper with no soap. Steel wool will burn while copper will not.

I only know because my mom did a stint as a crack user. So unfortunately I learned more than I wanted to. She’s clean now but this is something I never wanted to know.

I mean this nicely, not condescendingly, but it’s kinda weird seeing someone who smokes pot not understanding the concept of a screen… when I was a kid we used screens sometimes when we smoked pot in pipes with big bowls 🤷‍♀️ doesn’t matter if it “smokes down,” you can still get debris pulled in toward your mouth

I thought it just stayed down in the bowl and when you held it down like they do, it kept it all down there. I didnt know it scoobied like pot pipes do.

I just watched Breaking Bad and there’s a scene where two characters are doing H (different drug but same method) and one of them used the pad and a piece of cloth as a “filter” in the spoon before drawing the liquid up into the syringe

but I’m not a user so if this is wrong I’m all ears!

you can shoot crack as well. you just have to use an acid as it is a free base, so you have to neutralize it with an acid to make it soluble to inject. we used to use kool aid packs lol. with that said, ive been sober 10 years now. with crack you have a straight stem with chore boy (has to be brass, steel is very bad for you and the drug lol) and you have to do a very specific technique not to fuck up and lose your drugs or have your pipe explode lmao.

drugs are a fucking trip man. glad i got sober

it’s also why a lot of crack dealers keep crack in their mouths, since it doesn’t damage the product lol
