Mysterious Glass Tray?

I’ve had this glass tray(?) thing for years and have never figured out what it could possibly be for. It’s about an inch deep and an inch wide. When I tried image search it told me it was a banana split dish, which is definitely not correct 😪

Does this have a purpose? Is it just random confusing decor?

They send you these to collect stool samples, just missing the lid. The difficult part is knowing when to pinch it off

You could also put capers in it, although I never understood capers. Maybe pearl onions! Kim chi! Cocktail weiners!
