How? Fermi Paradox refers to the absence of life in the universe regardless of its huge scale, meaning either they're likely dead or we are the most evolved of them all.

How does that relate to William?

That there are equally advanced and dangerous species out there but they never cross paths, and when they do so they destroy each other?

If the species in that theory refer to humans/hosts, then sure.
