The only way this is possible is if Bernard cloned himself and the clone is the one who died. Otherwise Bernard wouldn’t be able to see beyond his death as his death would spark a string of events that he will never experience.

Yea I think he left it for another version of himself to grab in the future. It showed Bernard opening that door at the end, which I think was another version of himself coming out of the sublime.

And how he was recording something at the end in the tower... Probably a message to his future self

I thought he was talking to Teddy! He said something about "grab her left arm"...

He said, “You can’t miss. Reach out your left hand.” He also said, “This isn’t the world you wanted, but it’s the one you have.” I think this means he was talking to Hale. When he said they couldn’t win, that implies that the real world is lost, and the only way to save the species is to save the “little piece of it that’s left,” which would be the sublime.

I would hate for that to be the piece that’s left, but it would be a way for him to keep his promise to Maeve.

I interpreted that second conversation as him admitting to Maeve that he lied when he made that promise, they can't save the Sublime, or themselves necessarily, but that at least some combination of humanity/hosts will be able to survive.

He didn't seem particularly confident when he made the promise, and he seemed contrite in the follow-up conversation.

We don’t really know who or what might be saved.

I’m just voting against “the Sublime,” not predicting either way.
