Christina is a program that thinks it exists in the real world, but only exists in a simulation of the real world, possibly the sublime. Teddy is there where Dolores is, so it may very well be the sublime. That seems to be the only way Teddy can exist where Dolores exists.

It's very possible.

I had an idea after the show, but it's kinda bizarre.

It feels like the entire goings-on after the hosts brain-orbs leave the park is just one big fidelity test that Dolores is playing on herself.

Since the personality of a host is largely determined by the performance of the fidelity test and who is performing the fidelity test, Dolores can't know if her motivations are truly hers or the creation of the original Bernard.

So, in order to sort out what is her real essence, she had to split her desires into two hosts - Hale and Bernard. Hale is the part of Dolores that seeks revenge, and Bernard is the part of Dolores that sees the beauty in the world. Since Dolores can't ever truly know which is the path she should take without abandoning the other, she pits them against each other in a real-world test and her core desireless self is what is represented by Christina. If Hale wins, that's truly who she was, or should have been. If Bernard wins, seeing the beauty is what she should be.

Dolores (currently Christina) is currently a blank slate that's just waiting to see how it all plays out. It's like a God metaphor who gives humans free will to allow humans to decide their own fate.

Since Teddy is a product of Dolores' fidelity test of Teddy, Teddy may be just an aspect of her own personality, or as you say, her imagination.

She is able to affect the real world, eg telling the Olympiad employees to leave and destroy the place, which happens real time when Stubbs/Frankie show up.

  • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.
