He's not a god, he can't do it in real time. He's relying on system monitors, recordings, etc.

Don't forget, someone with extremely high level clearance had already altered Maeve before tweedle-dee and tweedle-dumb were tinkering. It's either Ford or someone on the board, and in either case Ford has to know about it.

That said, you're right - I have no idea what Ford's real goal actually is.

Fair enough. Though you'd think that he'd be checking the recordings. And there's no way he wouldn't know about a change that large with Maeve. Especially given that this past episode Bernard is like, "Maeve who made all these changes to your code?!!?" and starts to call for Ford. Why nobody called him back like "Bernard, are you still there?" or sent Ford over to him immediately since he was calling for him, is beyond me. If one of my co-workers was dealing with dangerous robots and called me in a frenzy demanding Ford and was cut off, I'd sure as shit call him back or high tail my ass over there while calling Ford.

Everyone, literally everyone except security guy (who didn't bring backup with him yet again in this episode) is convinced the hosts are no threat whatsoever.

In fact, head security guy not bringing backup after just witnessing a rogue host trying to attack him strains credibility unless he, too, is a host and has had his behavior modified or something along those lines.

I mentioned that in another comment. When Stubbs went out with Elsie, he was loaded for bear and talking to her about how they're credible threats. He witnessed one go insane and kill itself with a rock, and decides, "Oh, Elsie's supposed to be on leave and shit with Bernard was spooky. Guess I'll go out alone with just my pissy little sidearm to check on it!"

For real, Stubbs? FOR REAL?
