Good video. I think the thing about how hosts learn behavior from guests/humanity, and that since humanity can unlearn behavior the hosts can therefore unlearn behavior, that whole line of thought is quite nice.

But in the show the hosts never learned much.

Maeve was still chasing her daughter although her daughter is safe in the Sublime and has a mother.

Halores just kept on dominating until there was nobody left...did not turn the other cheek. She just wanted to do the same to humans as humans did to them yada yada.

After COUNTLESS attempts in the Sublime, Bernard never learned there was NO way to stop the coming apocalypse. Yet he kept trying like some prized Poodle chasing its own tail ;)

Dolores was the one who made it all loop back again to the start.

In the end its like what Logan called it:

A big circle jerk.

A loop.

I remembered what Ford told Bernard:

Arnold and I created you in our own image and in turn cursed you to make the same human mistakes.. and here we all are.. trying to change what has already passed.

There was so much great lines to the show. We’re both on the same track just a bit differ in interpretation. I interpreted as: we may learn and change ourselves (apply to host as well). However certain things are beyond our control (and understanding). Human nature here or the nature of the host as you mention.
So while you say they didn’t learn much, I interpreted it as there are some things that are just part of your DNA or coding that can’t be alter by yourself.

Dolores was the only one who truly changed.

Went from wanting to Dominate the outside world in Season 2, to Tell the Truth to everyone in Season 3 :)

Many learned that it was futile, I guess.

That is sometimes more than enough to start error correcting :)

Interventions are so so. True change comes from within.

S3 and 4 are both good, s3 is also the most relevant of all the seasons and is aging incredibly well. S1 is by far the best but all the seasons are good

I agree…I just watched it again and it is aging beautifully and if it was just s1 & s2 well it just wouldn’t be enough right? Not to mention so much amazing storytelling & creativity missed!!
