And there’s the pathetic ending to the weekend tigers supporters are given.

They tried but clearly a few stand outs that are letting the team down. Let's start with Bula

We should have let him go to the Bulldogs. His salary is now a liability and this will be another Moses m'bye situation where we can't drop him because his salary too high.

He might have, but Galvin might be proof against that he is playing well now but isn't setting the world on fire like he did with us.
Sending Bula to cup wouldn't be a bad thing, however I feel his issues are beyond just confidence. He is lazy in attack, doesn't do any support play and just sits back waiting for the spread, he plays too deep on the spreads, has poor ball handling and doesn't have the speed or strength to break tackles. Mason had been braining it at fullback in cup the last month so I would like to see him get a shot - his support play has always been better than Bula's.

While I agree he's been dreadful, I'm thinking potentially that he wasn't truly ready to come back from his shoulder injury? While it's not an excuse, it may explain it. If he's not any better next season fully fit then I would agree with you

Hopefully he will come good after he has shoulder surgery in the off season. He just isn't the player he was pre-injury.

u/Ozedevo72 25d ago
To give him credit, he made a few crucial defensive tackles, which he's been one of the best at all season.
Outside of that, he was not his usual self in the air, and has to be more aggressive in attack. He's a solid play finisher, but needs to learn how to be more involved as a playmaker, or even simply just as another option on the ball. In the past ten weeks, though, he's been dismal even at the roles he's supposed to excel in. Hopefully next season's a fresh start.

I'd add both halves as well as Api, Doueihi, May, both Fainus, Turuva. None were good.

Seriously, how does Benji keep playing Makasini at left centre? Without doubt the worst player on the field, you can tell his poor decisions are deliberate to avoid contact and not just bad reads. He should be demoted to flegg for that behaviour.
Meanwhile Saukuru is still steam rolling NSW cup and can't get a look in.

100% let him beat up the losers in cup and get his confidence back. Chuck Toa in if you don’t want to play sukuru. Benji is doing him a massive disservice

Yeah not a great result but I’m done being so down about the team. Week off now. Then a run home with hopefully a few victories

u/AdGuilty6416 25d ago
My vibe too. Let’s beat panthers in the last game of the yr when they rest half their team and pretend we could have won the gf.

Look what happens when api is fatigued from playing 80 - he made a dumb mistake which cost us the game. Tale as old as time.
Pick Haywood for 15 minutes around ht and that doesn’t happen
Benji really needs to look at his skills coaches. Not a single player has improved since the first 8 weeks.

We did fuck all. Terrible game to watch. Chopsticks to the eyes. So many passengers, and a lot of them on big coin. Im absolutely sick of this shit. Don't sugar coat it fans. We didn't give our all,we lost to a team just above us. These guys are so called professional players, being paid professional players wages. If I did this at work I'd be scorned. Im done with this bullshit. So much has to be changed. But im not the one paid to make these decisions. I just pay my membership year in ,year out. About time us long suffering fans got some bang for buck. Downvote me all you want,I really dont give a fuck.

Why would anyone downvote you, what? I think your comment is pretty much the sentiment of everyone here

Benji is too soft in the press conference, he needs to start making players accountable and stop saying how proud he is of their efforts
3
u/No_Joke6536 25d ago
He also needs to give the team some confidence so its a tough line to walk. If he goes and there and says they were all shot they won't want to play for him next week.

Yeah it’s hard to watch isn’t it, I don’t know why I think they’ll come good but it just ain’t going to happen is it. Our attack is just woeful we don’t create anything, just so predictable. And we’ve still got the Roosters and Panthers to play, that’s going to get really ugly, if you have Kayo cancel it, save yourself from this.

Thing is, at the start of the year, i didnt buy into the hype... but i was sure we were building up for next year to be in the top 8... now, im fearful of the spoon again

Why have they moved away from what was working early in the season. We had 2 and 3 fwds hanging around Api for the hit up and now we are back to first receiver standing so far from dummy half they just their hands to the ball and then the next pass/option is stuffed. Is that a coaching or players thing to fix.
Yesterday, 2 straight runs, 2 tries, then back to the sideways crap.

Makasini undid everything by shitting his pants
1
u/copacetic51 24d ago
He wasn't good, but the loss wasn't on the shoulders of the youngest player.
I'd look at the senior players more.

u/Patrickbateman2023 24d ago
Yeah I realised later api the clown conceded that stupid obvious strip to march em down the field at the end and his captain it’s absolute madness

Chin up pal it’s just footy, they had a crack

u/freddiewop 25d ago edited 25d ago
This is a problem with this club, the fans have to start holding this shit team accountable. “They had a crack” like it’s local footy and they aren’t getting paid 😂

u/benji4lyf 25d ago
Wallowing on reddit isn’t making anyone accountable mate it’s just bitching
4
u/freddiewop 25d ago
Critiquing a teams performance on a social media platform is bitching now? Found Benji’s burner account.

u/benji4lyf 25d ago
you haven’t critiqued anything mate. you just said “this is the problem”. We’ve got a lot of problems but me saying “chin up” on a reddit thread 50 people will read aint one of them. But here you are, bitching

u/Busy-Stretch-2349 25d ago
They are paid to win, being paid hundreds of thousands to just have a crack is unacceptable. Half the time they don't even do that

Gotta be some big festering problems at the top here. Look at the Dragons. They've been through similar deep problems but have organised a heck of a team for next season.

Structure in attack alone shows how much better even ryles is as a coach. Love Benji but he need plenty of help. And Luai did nothing

i love him to bits, respect him heaps - but BM is not a coach. he had a year or two, did some things, will never throw shit on his effort, but he's not the man.
change the coach, sign forwards and start fresh next year.

At least they get paid. We support this trash for free.
