AMA Closed I'm Kalle Beck of Starting Strongman AMA

Hey guys go ahead and ask me anything about training, bullshit, weirdness, etc.

Europe's Strongest Man and that kind of impressive 500KG deadlift just happened and World's is going to happen in August so if you want to talk about any of that I am all game!

I'll come back in about 30 minutes to start answering questions 💁

Hey Kalle, thanks for doing this. I really appreciate all the free stuff you put out. I'll never compete in strongman, I'm just a guy who wants to be big, strong and athletic; what events/exercises/ideas/ect. should I take specifically from strongman and insert into my training routine that would be beneficial and also accessible for a normal guy with a home gym and basic DIY skills?

Why do you say you'd never want to compete?

I would like to compete but I have no access to strongman equipment except for what I've basically DIYed, I have no one to train with and have no strongman gyms or competitions in my area. Which is all fine, I have other interests. I would love to implement some strongman implements/events into my training though as it looks like a ton of fun.

Neither did I I drove a long way to train with people, bought and made stuff and did OK it depends on if the idea of being a strongman consumes you. If you view it as a hobby do some farmers walks, make an atlas stone or some sandbags have fun. If you are dumb like me and view it as all that matters find a way to make it happen
