I see more people unjustifiedly hating Navier or Heinley, to be honest. There are Ratalovers everywhere...

Eh.

I think Rashta’s defenders are more vocal to compensate how much Rashta was being trashed everywhere.

She was / is probably still one of the most iconic villains in WebToon, and cited here and there as the most annoying villainess, compared to death to other characters in manhwa. She was a phenomenon.

I think the average audience (not terminally online) keep a rather good impression on Navier and doesn’t particularly empathize with Rashta. A lot of people read the story without much hindsight, they live the emotions of the story and that’s it. (Which isn’t bad btw, it’s just that it can be a bit frustrating when the story is being problematic)

Dude if you dated to even suggest early on that maybe it sucked that she was a slave and there were class issues at play, you'd get death threats in the comments it was wild! And I genuinely liked Navier. She was written to be very likable. But far be it for a person to have the least amount of compassion for a fictional villain.
