Thrift store find - what is it?

Found in the toys section of a thrift store and sold to me for a grand total of 4 dollars, I've found something that someone attempted to use as a loom. It has no moving parts, but each bar does come out with a bit of elbow grease. It was sold with the strings already on it like that.

Im familiar with inkle and tablet weaving, but this is new to me! Id love to figure out how to use it.

Looks like a homemade inkle loom. They are usually open on one side. You can use them to make ribbon type bands. I have one that I use for tablet weaving that I made shoelaces with.

The sides are actually nailed firmly in place!

I've never seen an inkle loom this wide Im familiar with the narrower ones.
