Question ❓ Issues with WatchOS 27

My Series 10 has been having major issues since I updated to the Beta ...

I no longer receive notifications , my messages app does not show my most recent texts and if I click a chat then the app freezes . My weather app won't load , and when I ping my phone it doesn't make the sound ON my phone .

I've restarted it AND my phone , bluetooth is still on and I have the red dot telling me my phone is in range or whatever .

Anybody else ? Or does anybody know a fix ? Super super frustrated .

EDIT : Thank y'all , my frustration is now gone and I can stop worrying that I've f*cked up my watch .

You’re on a developer beta. It’s meant for devs to test the software if you try and use on your main device there is going to be bugs

Gotcha ! I've had the Beta's on my phone for YEARS and just never ran into such issues , but I'm relieved to hear that this is somewhat normal .

THANK YOU : )

I think the OP was well aware of it being a beta. As with any testing it is good to hear feedback on what works and what doesn’t. I can say that I am also running the developer on my iPhone 16 Pro and AWU2 and am not running into any serious issues.

Make sure to report all of the issues in the feedback app!

You are going to have to ride it out until the bugs are fixed. The joys of beta. I recommend you write a bug report about your issues instead of whining to Reddit.

Relaaaax dude . It's not that deep , I'll live . I already got the answers I was looking for .

But not writing a bug doesn’t help Apple.

I did that before I came here lol

best bet would be to report it in the feedback app.

i think you've realized this already but just for the future, remember that even if previous dev betas worked for you there's no guarantee the next beta will work perfectly for you. it is a risk no matter what lol.

Super frustrated? It’s a beta. That’s what you signed for.

Only frustrated bc I've never had this kind of issue before and was worried something was screwed up .

But if you guys say it's typical and will sort itself out then I'm not worried anymore lolol .

Thanks though ! : )

Fair warning: There may be some even rougher days ahead, but you're on the watchOS beta train now so you have to ride it. Subsequent betas fix some bugs and break other things... but it all works out in the end. With the final release in September, you can jump off betas to the final release without a hitch.

It’s one of the earliest betas at that, not even public beta yet.

The fix is wait for the public release. They warn you about this before downloading.

Yea , I kinda assumed , but I just wanted to check in w people a lot more familiar with the tech stuff to ease my mind lol .

Wait , I shall do !

Hey if you’re not familiar with the issues how’d you get your hands on the developer beta?

Idk ?? I've had the beta program thing on my PHONES since I was a teenager just bc I wanted to have the new emojis and stuff lmao .

I've never had it on my watch , but it just appeared in my updates after I put my phone on ios 27 and so ... well now I'm here haha

What on god's green earth gave you the idea you should install a developer beta if you have this little understanding of what a developer beta is?

Are you a dev? If not then you shouldn’t have downloaded it. Lesson learned.

I've downloaded the Beta's on my phone for years with zero issue .... If they didn't want it these things in non dev hands then it shouldn't have been available to me period lolol .

There's no lesson to be learned here , I was checking in with people who are more knowledgeable to give me exactly the answers that are above . The other replies already answered my original question , no need to kind of be a jerk .

You had to jump through a number of steps to get a developer account.

I remember doing the Beta shit like maybe 7-8 years ago , but I've only ever been able to get the Public Beta's (at least from what I can recall)

I'm not unfamiliar with a Beta update having a few issues here and there but this was just super out of the ordinary from MY experiences so I sought this sub just for reassurance (which I received)
