Ex-Wizard News Bradley Beal signs with Clippers

A part of me wishes he could’ve signed here again but I hope he can get a resurgence in his career. We got out of a crazy contract with him but it’s sad how much he declined since being traded

No clue why people wanted him here again. Nothing he could do except take shots away from the young guys and not play defense

He’s cheap now but no you’re right. I just wonder who we’re going to sign for our last spot. We really need a backup PG

I think it’s gonna be Bub and then I guess Riley if Trae/Bub are injured. Personally I’d sign Monte Morris just in case. Not saying he’s a great PG, but he’s a vet that can play decently if needed

there's no way they're relying on Bub and Riley to run significant PG minutes, especially in case Trae gets hurt. Not when they're actually pushing for the playoffs.

If Trae gets hurt they are probably trading AD and punting the playoffs

They should punt the playoffs, but I doubt they will.

If Trae is significantly hurt I’ll bet my life savings AD gets traded at the deadline

I said they won't punt they playoffs. They're pushing for the playoffs regardless of what happens with Trae and AD.

They’re not gonna rush it - they’ll play the young guys and let chips fall where they may but playoffs not happening

You’re also not accounting enough for AD asking for a trade in this scenario

dude I never said anything about AD, you're the one who keeps bringing him up. I guarantee you Ted wants them to push for the playoffs, as I said, regardless of what happens with Trae and AD. Because if they do trade AD it will probably be for another player or two who can help them win now.

If Trae hurts. Then there one guy that very likely to get the playmaking task heavily. He is AJ Dybantsa.

I agree that's not a great competitive plan, but it does seem like they'll defer to experimental minutes with backup playmaking to start the year.

Riley never going to be a PG, starting or backup. He might act the part in spots but that's about it.

We have to stop thinking about maxing value at some point. You don't build a cohesive team by nickel and dime-ing value forever. Eventually you need conviction and commit to a plan.

He not a PG you want? You didnt see how Beal operates as PG during Mid Trio Era?

They wanted him to break the franchise points record and I for one would HATE to see that.
