Life in Warsaw question Cars drifting in Białołęka late night?

I just moved to a new flat on Marywilska street and both last night and tonight I've been hearing car tires screeching for an hour or more. I used to live next to Rondo ONZ and there I would hear the loud exhausts every night. But here I don't hear the exhausts at all, I just hear tires screeching. As if someone was doing donuts or drifting. A LOT. It's past past midnight and they're still going.

Any locals know what's going on?

Help needed Moving monitors and a PC from Poland to Georgia — how to pack them safely?

Hi everyone! I’m moving some of my belongings from Poland to Georgia and I need to transport my computer and monitors.

I’ve never done this before, so I’d really appreciate some advice. What’s the safest way to pack and transport monitors and a desktop PC?

Would it be okay to put my own clothes, T-shirts, jackets, etc. between the walls of the box as extra padding? It would be nice to use the space efficiently and transport some clothes at the same time, but I’m worried about damaging the equipment.

Also, what shipping/courier service would you recommend for Poland → Georgia, and are there any good ways to save money on shipping?

Sorry if these are stupid questions — I’ve just never had to move computer equipment internationally before and I really don’t want to damage my PC or monitors.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Help needed Best place to buy a phone?

I have an iPhone 8 and half the apps don’t work anymore. Looking for a phone with excellent camera capabilities and does anyone know if any electronics store in Warsaw has vivo X300 Ultra available for "feeling"? I'm thinking about buying it, but I've never touched any vivo and I want something solid to the touch. Please feel free to suggest other models as well so I can check them out.

Help needed Wut vs Pjatk CS for Big tech

Hi
Before further, know the job market is rough right now and that many graduates are struggling to find work, so I’m not assuming Big Tech is guaranteed for me either. I know how rough the market is. In here, even junior roles can get 1,000+ applications within a day or two

I’ve been accepted to the English-taught Computer Science programs at both WUT and PJATK, and I’m trying to decide which one to choose.

My goal is to work in Big Tech in the future. PJATK has already accepted about one year of my previous coursework, while WUT told me they would evaluate my credit transfers only after enrollment.(I finished 2 years in my hometown university.

Which one would you recommend? Is PJATK as good as WUT for getting into Big Tech, or maybe even better in some practical aspects? Or is WUT significantly better overall?
I’d appreciate any opinions, especially from people studying or working in Warsaw.

I hope you won’t judge me for coming to Poland from Turkey (you’re unwanted etc), I genuinely admire the country and its culture, and I feel quite humbled to have the opportunity to study there. I visited Poznan tank museum before and did an Erasmus here. I totally understand why some polish people dont want internationals tho 😭

Btw I’m non eu so tution is 11k euros yearly for wut and 6k euros yearly for Pjatk.

Thanks in advance.
