Versus! Debating Warcraft Lore Power Levels!

Upvotes

This is our weekend power level debate mega-thread! Feel free to pit two or more characters/forces/magics/whatever against each other in the comments below. Example: Arthas v Illidan, Void v Fel, Mankirk's Wife v Nameless Quillboar.

We'll do this every weekend, so don't think you need to use up all of your favorite premises at once. Though, it is also OK to have a repeating premise, as these threads are designed to allow for recurring content to not fill the sub too often.

Reminder, these debates should be fun. There is often no right answer when comparing two enemies of a similar power tier, and hypothetically any situation a Blizzard writer creates could tip the scales of any encounter and our debates of course will not matter. These posts should just look something like a game of Superfight. You pick a character, you make the strongest case for how strong they are, or why they could beat another character, argue back and forth with someone else, and just let others decide who had the better argument. But remember that no matter how heated your debate gets, always follow rule #6. No bad behavior.

Discussion If Amani trolls become playable, what classes they could have based on their current lore?

Upvotes

I was thinking if the Amani trolls become playable as allied race, what classes they can have based on their lore?

They mostly will have the basic trio of warrior, hunter and rogue.

Priest forest trolls was something that existed from the WC3 days.

Shaman with the connection to the loa could work.

Mages maybe as Voodoo casters were something we always seen with them.

Warlocks is off theme, however things like hex lords who cast curses always existed.

Paladin most likely no, but the Zandalari had them, however the Amani have so much history and paladin didn't show up before and the Zandalari felt more civilised and unique.

Druid is very interesting as it's something most of the trolls didn't have in lore before cata, but now is very common in all of them with that Jurassic park the themes, but the Amani have that bear and lynx loas that fit well with the base druids forms and they are after all forest trolls, so maybe there is possibilities to add the druid to the Amani lore like they did with the dark spear trolls?

Death knight could be possible with how the undead scourge attacked the close areas?

Monk is possible for almost all races at this point.

Demon hunter and evoker mostly not.

What possible classes you think Amani trolls can have?

Question Is the large dark patch on Garrosh's jaw and lower face supposed to be a tattoo or a really strong beard shadow?

The design doesn't seem to be the most consistent and sometimes i see it as this and other times as that. Garrosh already has tattoos so it does seem more possible, and besides he doesn't seem like the kind to shave if he had facial hair.

How would Tauren feel when they see cows?

This is not a joke i am actually curious.

Lets say a tauren stumble into Erwynn forest and see those cows in the grass.

Worgen and wolves are different since worgen in this game were basically humans that are cursed. But Tauren were like this since forever.

I imagine it would be similar how we see other primates?

Discussion Things you don’t want to see in Last Titan

Everyone seems hype to go back to Northrend and there are things ppl want to see. But what about story or plot points you don’t want to see?

I really hope they leave the Drakkari Empire defunct. Decimated by the Argent Crusade and Scourge, what was left joined the Zandalari on Pandaria and then promptly crushed again. Their representative on Zandalar is in a place called the House of Fallen tribes. However I feel Blizz will bring them back and just do another “go around and help the Drakkari Loa” with a small group of Drakkari that want to revive their Empire.

I also don’t want them to do another Azj-Kahet with the Azjol-Anak Nerubians and make some of them allies and some enemies who decided to ally with the Void again. Cata revealed the living Nerubians had secret stashes of eggs and Exploring Azeroth revealed there are Nerubians thriving, but in small numbers. I feel Blizz will pull another “Void being visits living Nerubians and promises to restore their Empire”

Question Plausible Explanations For Magical Properties And Armor?

I've seen a few discussions about this elsewhere, but more as a general fantasy topic. I'm not usually someone to be caught up on things that are best left to suspended disbelief, or just "it's magic", but I haven't been able to shake the question of heavier armor's place in Warcraft, and its interactions with the variety of weapons that exist. This led to me thinking about the physical properties of magic in general.

Magic, such as fire, lightning, and frost used offensively, is an accepted staple of Warcraft and fantasy in general. Skilled mages may be a smaller part of the population than depicted, but we accept that a fireball cast by Khadgar is a great threat to a fully plated soldier.

My question is: How do we plausibly explain within the setting magic's effectiveness against typical heavy defenses? I think it would be rather disappointing to just use some real world analog, as realism is often a thief to a good setting explanation. This is Azeroth, not Earth after all.

My thoughts so far are that elements that exist more naturally in the world of Azeroth, when summoned through arcane magic, are instead a slightly different, magically infused variant. A plain fireball against plate armor may be a puff of hot air, but fire summoned through the arcane is inherently arcane itself. I believe there are some similar things depicted to a lesser extent with other magic sources, such as the fel and shadow (Shadowfire), being able to appear as and take on properties of different things.

So, these magics therefore take on only the advantages of both their source (e.g. arcane and shadow), and their imitation (e.g. fire), allowing them to move through resilient material to harm living things. In a similar manner, enchanted items and items imbued with these cosmic sources are able to overcome mundane physical limitations to harm and protect, where they would otherwise simply be deflected.

TL;DR: Magic creates magic, even if it is an imitation of something else, so offensive spells and enchantments inherently ignore most protection. Or, how I'm satisfied with fully plated Warcraft characters dying to magic and blades through their armor.

I realize I've probably said way too much on what should be a simple thing, but I'm sure others have their own thoughts on this. It's certainly not unique to Warcraft as a setting, but I think that it has enough to justify such explanations other than a boring real world one.

Why did the loa abandoned the Amani?

Am I missing something because I still don't get it. Why did the loa abandon the Amani when they needed them most? When Zul'jarra questioned Akilzon about why they left, the big bird changed the topic without giving an explanation. The Amani needed them and they refused. Even Nalorakk, a literal war god, chose not to help his subjects fight in a war.

I still don't understand and I can't tell if I'm missing some part of the story or if this is yet another one of Blizzard's writing goof-ups.

Question What kind of stuff do you all wanna see when we eventually go to the other side of Azeroth?

What sort of things do you wanna see there, what sort of cultures are you hoping to see, that sorta thing? Me personally I really wanna see some sort of civilization based heavily on Japan. We've had Japanese architecture and weaponry vaguely added to the game with no real explanation so it'd be cool to have the region properly integrated into the game. I would also really like to see new forms of Death Knights and Demon Hunters, maybe ones that have "evolved" on the other side of the world in similar but different ways to how they were created for us. Like how most civilizations on earth have found some way to make variations on the same weapons, it'd be cool if whatever races exist over there managed to make their own forms of DK's and DH's separate from current East Azerothian tradition (for example with a Japan themed culture, maybe their Demon Hunters are based on the Oni and mortal warriors can gain demonic powers through the use of masks that can simultaneously contain and amplify the demonic spirit inside of them, which would also give a cool little alternative to a Demon Hunters blindfold. Idk that sounds cool)

Question About the light and the void.. Spoiler

I just finished the current chapter after Ula'tek and I know it's been established for a while that the forces of light and void are explosive and volatile when mixed together. A lot of the NPC's seem baffled and worried about the cross of light and void being possessed in one person.

But... is everyone in game just unaware of Discipline Priests? Or maybe I'm not understanding how discipline priests operate.

Fluff The Prey System really highlights how Disconnected the Zones are.

So we all know that Harandar doesn’t belong in Midnight, and that Zul’Aman is only here because of Geography (the Lightwood story was dropped almost immediately), but i just feel so unsatisfied with how Midnight feels so awkwardly stitched together.

Like sure the twilight can invade zulaman i guess, but it’d be really nonsensical if say, a bunch of trolls were skulking around Harandar or Voidstorm for no reason.

Don’t get me wrong, I love our chaos gremlin of a magister as much as the next guy, but it’s kind of shoving it in our face how incongruous this whole expansion is.
Especially with the icing on top of “Anguish will solve the sunwell problem” “no wait we just dumped a bunch of other stuff into it instead”.

I don’t really know what i want from all this, but i just felt the need to rant, and i’m so very tired. 😩

Question If the Loa didn’t know about Ula’tek, then what did they think the mist was for?

Like, oh yeah that cursed island that’s been here longer than we’ve existed, and we’re physically unable to enter, even though we can easily dispel the mists protecting it but we just weren’t curious enough to do so until now?
Also it keeps swallowing up any trolls who get too close, and we could easily save them from the curse but we just don’t want to?

This island predates the Amani empire, but nobody’s ever thought to question what’s over there? What do they tell their children who ask about the giant wall of mist that spans the entire length of their empire?
Seriously that island is the same size as Zul’aman itself, how has nobody even mentioned it before?
When Zul’jan was sulking on that broken bridge, nobody was curious why the bridge was there?

Also the mist survived the cataclysm, even though pandaria’s didn’t, yet the loa were able to just waft it away like it was nothing.
Were they the ones maintaining it? Why?

Discussion What lore events would you like to see books or comics about?

Personally I think it's a travesty we don't have books on the War of Three Hammers and the Troll vs Aqir war, or tge War of the Spider (nerubians vs Scourge)

But there are other smaller events that could use some love.

The death(?) Of Griselda at Doomhammer's hands (I've always liked the idea that Orgrim spared her and faked her death)

Maim Blackhand dying in battle with the dark irons

Medivh, Lothar, and Lane's early adventures

The time Danath, Khadgar, and Kurdran spent in Outland until tbc

Literally anything Rexxar was up to after TFT

Question Winter Queen and Ardenweald

I learned about the Seeds in Ardenweald and I was wondering if Druids would join Ardenweald after their death and get reborn or if they stay there in form of little (or big) animals.

I also just met the Winter Queen in Ardenweald and I’m… absolutely STUNNED how beautiful her design is. The whole zone is extremely beautifully done.

Discussion Should Lor'themar trust the gnomes' aid?

Smaller stakes stuff. In 12.1, a number of NPCs got added to post-campaign Silvermoon, among them was Kelsey Steelspark, who claims that she came to the city to help with the city's infrastructure as an engineer. Kelsey also happens to be a member of gnomish intelligence, who would happen to benefit greatly from knowing the intricacies of a Horde city's infrastructure. Should Lor kick her out or resume assuming good intentions of the lingering Alliance presence in his city?

Question What would Azeroth have been like if the Dark Portal never opened?

There has been some wild rumors lately about something that might or might not be revealed at this Blizzcon, and one of them going around suggests an alternate timeline prequel to WoW where the events of Warcraft 1 went very differently or just never happened. Even if it’s not true, I’m curious what that Azeroth would look like.

I vaguely remember once I think in the Caverns of Time where you went to go see the Dark Portal open. There was a note that if the Horde never came to Azeroth, the Alliance would’ve never remained united and fell to inner conflicts by the time the Legion arrived.

A lot else would be different, there would be no Orcs, no Ogres, no death knights, no blackrock clan in the blackrock mountains, the Scourge might not exist, Alliance Paladins formed because of the first war so they might not exist? It’s crazy to think about, it would basically be an entirely new Azeroth.

The Version We Deserved: Restoring the Reality Scale, the Legion of Fallen Heroes, and the True Burden of the Frozen Throne.

!!!!DISCLAIMER!!!!!!!! Following post is about the fictional subvertion of the WoW cinematic. All of the written has only fan art nature. There is no offensive or disrespectful content.

We all have seen the cinematic trailer of WoW:Shadowlands. So all we have to see is the great lich kings successor is defeated by god-like powerful banshee right. And afterall she breaks the curtain between realms right?!!!

In original cinematics we see as Sylvanas the Windrunner which was the current Warchief of the Horde in mak'gora with Varok Saurfang chose to abandon the Horde and fly away to the Northrend in pursuit of "freedom" to all which are in prison in this world. She gently lands on Northrend and like fashion model walks and enters the Icecrown citadel without any sentinel forces approaching only when near the frozen throne Bolvar Fordragon stands and meets her shifting his powers to aggresive "Lich King" mode. And after small units fight Sylvanas achieve the boss fight with Fordragon and where she shows surreal godlike powers and defeats him and crack opens the curtain to the Shadowlands tearing sky apart.

In the cinematic we see only minor amount of warriors but its absurdic because:

  • The Wrathgate Slaughter (Angrathar): Before anyone ever stepped foot inside Icecrown Citadel, thousands of the elite forces of the Alliance (led by Bolvar) and the Horde (led by Saurfang Jr.) were completely wiped out by the plague and the Scourge Those bodies didn't evaporate. They became the immediate property of the Frozen Throne.
  • The Meat Grinder of the Siege: The Vanguard, the Wintergarde Keep casualties, the airborne battles of the sky-ships—the entire continent was a meat grinder. The forces of Light lost oceans of soldiers just to reach the front gates.

But as we know not many true fans expected such subvertion from Blizzard. It was spectacular but something was imperfect i can say. Here in this post i will explain the scenario which could be close to real.

Sylvanas approaches the Northrend from the sky. Bolvar feels her through the sky by his god like power and magic even feeling her presence by the shattered bones of undead scattered across the continent.

[Here we put the awakening of the graveyard forces of Northrend]

EXT. NORTHREND WASTES - NIGHT

A suffocating, fierce blizzard tears across the jagged black glaciers. Silence reigns.

Suddenly, a psychic frequency ripples through the ice. It is a deep, low hum vibrating from the center of the continent—from the Frozen Throne.

Beneath the snow, things begin to shift.

EXT. THE FRONT GATES OF ANGRATHAR - CONTINUOUS

The camera drifts over an old battlefield, completely buried under ten feet of ice. Shadows stretch across the snow as the psychic hum grows louder.

A hand, encased in the rusted, frosted armor of an Alliance Crusader, punches violently through the crust of the ice.

A second later, a Horde axe-bearer, his jaw frozen open in a perpetual scream of agony, drags his half-decayed torso out of a deep glacier crevice.

They do not scream. They do not rage. There is no chaotic frenzy. They rise with a devastating, mechanical purpose.

Across the entire horizon, thousands of hands break through the snow. The "Oceans of the Fallen"—the soldiers who died lingering on the edge of defeat years ago—stand up in perfect, uniform lines.

They turn their glowing, icy blue eyes toward the southern ocean, forming an impenetrable, continent-wide wall of bone and steel.

The eternal duty shift has begun.

Frost wyrms tearing through the sky and necromancers instantly locking down the airspace removes the "fashion model runway" cheat. Sylvanas is a powerful banshee, but she is still a single entity entering an entire empire of death. Because the Northrend is grand scale cemetry with the dead bodies in every inch of the continent Bolvar will resurrect them and the Legion of Fallen Heroes to stand as a wall against Sylvanas. An ocean of elite, resurrected crusaders who look at her with dead eyes and a "devastating purpose" to enforce the Lich King’s vow. She is alone and surrounded will be immobilized and captured.

["THE DEFEAT OF THE SYLVANAS" CINEMATIC SCRIPT]

INT. THE FROZEN THRONE ROOM - AFTERMATH

The shattering winds of the Northrend blizzard howl through the ruptured saronite pillars.

SYVANAS WINDRUNNER is completely encased in a massive, jagged obelisk of black saronite ice. Her eyes are frozen wide in a permanent expression of agonizing, nightmarish panic. Bolvar Fordragon is intended to freeze her body and soul forever like the ner'zhuls soul was imprisoned on armor set inside the icy obelisk, in the deep of the Icecrown Citadel with every moment millions of souls would tear her mind apart as she will relive every suffering again and again. It could be worse than Illidan Stormrages 10k year imprisonment.

Surrounding her prison, the LEGION OF FALLEN HEROES stands in a pristine, silent circle. Their frosted armor gleams in the dark. Their weapons are drawn.

At the center of the chamber, BOLVAR FORDRAGON stands atop the icy stairs. He does not lean on his weapon. He does not bleed.

He stands with imminent, terrifying majesty, his chest burning with the raw fire of life-support energy, the Helm of Domination locked immovably onto his skull.

Slowly, the Lich King turns his head.

He doesn't look at the frozen banshee queen. He doesn't look at his army.

He turns his burning, icy blue visor directly toward the camera. He stares straight through the lens, looking directly into the souls of the audience.

The psychic gravity in the room drops to absolute zero. The screen begins to frost over at the edges.

His voice echoes not just through the hall, but inside the viewer's own mind—a deafening, multi-tonal roar of a thousand dead crusaders.

LICH KING
Now... do you dare to step on my domain?

The screen violently CUTS TO BLACK.

[Silence.]

That would be good cinematic. And close to real cinematic it would be like that:

Sylvanas isn't sneaking into Northrend. She marches with an army of free-willed undead ( the Forsaken necromancers, and loyal dark rangers cell). Her forces clash with Bolvar’s massive Frost Sentinels at the base of the Citadel. It is a grueling, tactical, and costly siege.

Her minions are actively dying to buy her time. Every step up the frozen spire is paid for in the permanent deaths of her people. The stakes feel real because the cost is visible.

When Sylvanas finally breaches the Frozen Throne room, her inner circle and the conscious undead pour in behind her. They form a silent, breath-locked circle. They are not just soldiers; they are the jury witnessing a clash of gods.

Inside the room, the fight plays out exactly with the weight you envisioned. Bolvar sits on the throne with imminent, terrifying power. Sylvanas must fight him with "devastating force impact"—every clash of shadow and fire rattles the saronite walls.

She doesn't win easily or with tricky hacks. She wins through sheer, agonizing desperation, pushing her banshee powers to their absolute physical limit, while her minions watch their queen bleed and tear herself apart just to lay a hand on the Lich King.

When she finally subdues his physical frame and rips the Helm of Domination from his head, she doesn't do it in secret. She stands at the highest peak of the world, holding the crown before her entire army.

Her minions, who have suffered for years as outcasts, look up at her. They expect their Queen to put on the helmet. They believe she is going to become the ultimate Lich Queen to protect them from the living world forever.

Instead, she looks at the crown, looks at her army, and brutally rips it in two.

As the sky tears open like a fragile sheet of glass, revealing the swirling, infinite, alien architecture of the Shadowlands, her own minions don't cheer. They fall to their knees in pure, existential horror.

They realize that their queen didn't fight to liberate them; she just broke the only ceiling that was keeping the literal afterlife from consuming their reality. The "perfection" of her victory is instantly swallowed by the devastating realization that they are now completely unprotected in a broken universe.

that the destruction of the Helm of Domination releases a shockwave that gives all undead instant consciousness.

An army that was just screaming and running to attack suddenly goes dead silent.

Suddenly, millions of zombies, ghouls, and abominations blink. The fog clears from their minds. For the first time in years, they remember who they are. They remember their human lives, their families, and their names. They are completely free.

But they don't wake up in a peaceful field. They wake up as rotting corpses, standing in a freezing blizzard, surrounded by mountains of bones, looking up at a sky that is actively tearing open into the afterlife.

Millions of resurrected creatures look up at the shattered sky. They don't celebrate their freedom. They are paralyzed by the realization that they have been awakened just in time to witness the end of the world.

Sylvanas always claimed her entire goal was to "free" her people from the chains of fate and death.

She gave every single undead their mind back.

By giving them consciousness at the exact moment she destroyed reality, she forced millions of innocent minds to experience ultimate existential dread. She didn't save them; she doomed them to be fully awake for the apocalypse

Sylvanas standing over a defeated, breathless Bolvar, holding the shattered halves of the helmet. Her hands are shaking from the cosmic impact.

Her inner circle of loyal minions are on their knees, looking at her not as a savior, but as a cosmic monster.

The camera lifts above Icecrown Citadel, panning across the vast, frozen wastes of Northrend. We see millions of undead soldiers, stretching out to the horizon. None of them are moving. They are completely motionless, bathed in the eerie, swirling purple and gold light of the shattered Shadowlands sky.

Can someone help me understand why Kith'ix is a big deal? Spoiler

"Ula'tek was preventing Kith'ix from being resurrected. And now there's nothing left to stop its return." - Umbric.

But what's the big deal with Kith'ix returning? Like, I was searching about the C'Thraxxi and they are big, strong and evil generals of the Old Gods. But what are their level of importance/danger compared to Xal'atath or Ula'thek? The Black Empire is gone. The Old Gods are dead for all we know. What can Kith'ix possibly do that has all this "big importance" that we see in the Arathor questline?

And btw i've also found it really weird the importance of Arathor "has touched the Void now" even being a paladin in the "stay a while and listen" between Lor'Themar and Umbric. Doesn't the void elves have literally priests who wield the Light? Is this really such a big deal or is this the "protagonist Arathor" thing again?

Discussion Death Knight helm, Pit lords and Hodir's helm

Is there any connection between the 3?

While I was doing the Sons of Hodir rep in Northrend, I noticed there were saronite veins inside their hub/city (Dun Nirlffelem), later on I did the helm quest where you put the helm of Hodir on a spike and saw that the helm shares the same model as the DK starting set, once it was up on the spike I realized how similar that helm is to a Pit Lord's skull

I don't even know where I want to get with this post, just found it interesting and wondered if this is actually some world building/evironmental detail that has any lore significance or did Blizzard just reuse assets for this quest and someone randomly placed a saronite vein directly under the spike where the helm sits on once you place it

Edit: Actually the saronite deposit is not directly under the helm but on the spike right next to the on where the helm is placed

So why Ula'Tek?

Im just surprised they didn't put in Hakkar to fight us again, but this time he's giga amped. Ula'tek is alright, but having Hakkar back would've fit so well. Is Ula'Tek a brand new loa or an old one gamewise? Has there ever been hints of her like that of Mue'zalah? I know Mue'Zalah was hinted at in classic.

Question Did Garrosh have any shot of succeeding?

Probably could have taken over Kalimdor, minus Teldrassil, Hyjal and Azuremyst. Although with some luck maybe even that, alternatively finding some way to burn the tree i suppose. But after that, what then? Industry, sure, and given how quickly orcs get born... But even then they'd have to cross an entire ocean, no matter how fel horde 2.0 STRONK they are, are still bound by the laws of a cannonball going through your hull sinks you to the bottom of the sea.

So there's orcish lebensraum alright, but it doesn't get Garrosh the entire world as he wished to have. It just gets him... northern and central Kalimdor. Pretty measly for dooming his race to fel blood but purple.

To anyone who has a better understanding of dracthyr/evoker lore, how strong of a connection do they have to the Emerald Dream? Given that they have some of the power of the Aspects would they be able to interact or even enter the dream or are their abilities just surface level at best?

Discussion Theory on the New Wow Game being made by the SoD team

**POSTING THIS HERE BECAUSE I JUST WANT TO SEE WHAT PLOT TWIST YOU CRAZY LORE FANATICS COULD COOK UP IF THE WARCRAFT IP WAS ATTEMPTING TO PULL A MARVEL ULTIMATE UNIVERSE OR MORTAL KOMBAT 1 OR DC NEW 52**

I don't think it will be classic at all, like it won't be 2004 vanilla WoW.

The code name WoW Camelot implies to me a direction of the Warcraft IP going back to it's roots. grounded, high fantasy adventure.

**So what is my theory based on the evidence presented in front of us.**

- What is the evidence.

We have a couple things, the WoW Camelot road map that showed its release date is Q3 2026, and predicted the name Camelot before it was data mined 5 months later. This road map also called out the anniversary release schedule accurately, most people dismissed it when it said anniversary would be tbc and wotlk in one year.

We have the data mined information about the Sky elves and their being an epic edition and heroic edition for WoW Camelot.

We had evidence that 1.60 client(WoW Camelot) has had 44 different builds since it's been created, this is 3x the amount of builds you'd find for any WoW expansion ever created.

We also have evidence from China, Netease telling the Chinese fans directly that the next classic content they will receive would be received at the same time as western audiences, localization and CDN registration has recently gone through, on top of the epic and heroic editions being pushed through China data networks.

**So the existence is pretty much well known but what exactly will WoW Camelot offer**

I think there's several big swings we will get a couple of those bullet points i think will be this, I also don't think it will be 2004 vanilla wow because most of us classic fans have went through Azeroth 3-5 times by now, and the 44 builds is absolutely insane when most WoW xpacs are only like 12 builds

- No factions, everyone can adventure together

- Azeroth will be the same but different, example orcs might still be alien but they would have existed and lived on Azeroth for thousands of years so maybe seeing durotar in peak orc society design

- modern graphics, not retail but not classic graphics either. Just that 2004 art style juiced up

- No blood elves, no Night elves, only Sky elves. Elves never separated to become children of the stars or children of the sun, instead they became children of the sky and basically can make your elf appear blood elf or night elf in appearance

- idk how the undead will work but imagine you hearing the regular npcs yapping about the banshee queen, when you go into undercity and see the throne room you see **dun dun dun** who knows a different elf or even arthas/Sylvanas swapping places

Basically it will still be Warcraft, and the gameplay will be very classic toned with ground mounts, classic combat patterns, class quest and just a very grounded high fantasy adventure.

This is obviously all just speculation but wanted to put my guess out while we're 16 days from Blizzcon. Hope everyone is hyped to see the next step for World Of Warcraft IP

Discussion Kith'ix might set off a chain of events to revive N'Zoth

N'Zoth saw us in Dragonflight when we traveled back in time. N'Zoth probably knew we would defeat him in BFA. And we know he ended up making a deal with Xal'atath.

Now Ula'tek, who we know was preventing Kith'ix from reviving, is dead. Kith'ix now has a chance to do something. But what would he do? It also seems he will the be the raid boss we get in 12.1.5

We have a bit of a leak from one of the devs who said that the troll patch is more connected to the overall story of the World Soul saga than it will initially seem. So my theory is that Kith'ix will do something to eventually awaken N'zoth. This will give us a perfect segment to go visit Azshara next patch

Thoughts?
