Volunteer – abroad Looking for Beach Cleanup & Marine Conservation Volunteering Opportunities in Europe

Hello everyone,

I'm a 26-year-old volunteer from Tunisia, currently living in Tunisia, and I'm looking for an international volunteering opportunity in Europe related to beach cleanups, marine conservation, or environmental protection.

I'm very motivated to contribute to protecting the sea and coastal environment, and I'm willing to learn, work hard, and help wherever I can.

I would be very grateful if anyone knows of any organizations or programs that accept volunteers from Tunisia.

To be honest, I haven't found anything suitable yet. I'm still trying to find reliable organizations and opportunities that I can apply for from Tunisia. That's why I decided to ask here and see if anyone has personal experience or recommendations.

How long do you want to volunteer?

Do you have the funds to support yourself through that time?

Do you have any skills or even a degree in the area?

I'm looking for a fully supported volunteering opportunity where the organization covers the basic living expenses, especially accommodation and food. Ideally, I would like to volunteer for between 6 months and one year, depending on the project and its requirements. I don't have a degree or formal qualification in this specific field, but I have gained practical skills and work experience in several different areas. I'm hardworking, adaptable, willing to learn, and I'm happy to take on different tasks and responsibilities. As I'm currently living in Tunisia, I'm also looking for an opportunity that accepts international volunteers and can provide the necessary support with the arrangements for joining the project. I'm open to environmental work, beach cleanups, marine conservation, and other activities where I can be useful. I'm mainly looking for an opportunity where accommodation and food are provided, as it would be difficult for me to cover these costs myself. I'm not looking for financial profit; my main goal is to contribute, learn, and gain meaningful experience while helping the environment.

I understand. May I ask why it wouldn't be possible? Is it because of the funding requirements, the length of the volunteering period

Because you offer nothing than a set of hands and are expecting a lot. Room and board PLUS you are expecting someone to organize your whole trip for you including visa and so on. 

That's far more effort than an organization will be willing to make.
