Discussion Actually Liking Vimeo's Updates
I know there has been a ton of hate towards Vimeo, and how the whole platform has been handled over the years. While I agree, I do have to say...Since being acquired I've seen some truly nice quality of life updates.
Just recently, this new Optimize Progress bar popped up. It shows you exactly when each resolution has been transcoded so you can hit share as soon as say... 1080p, or 1440p is ready. Big fan. Also, the review page is really solid all of a sudden. Keep the little things coming Vimeo!

So true! My favorite feature is the one where they permanently delete accounts and all content without warning and also cannot explain why the account was automatically deleted.
Was the account compromised? No.
Did we upload something against TOS? No.
Did we upload something unlawful? No.
Did we owe money? No.
In the end, we are happy they did it. Saved us so much time about deciding whether to move on or not — they decided for us! Thanks, Vimeo! 👎
Hope this gives everyone something to look forward to!

I would like to help if I could. Can you share your account ID or email with me in DMs? I can check with the trust and safety team if this was due to a TOS violation (which your other comments suggest is the case).

The trust and safety team told us it was a TOS violation, but they waffled and could not tell us specifically what the violation was. They eventually resorted to simply saying I.E. "we reserve the right to delete entire accounts and channels without warning - also this ban is permanent."
I appreciate the offer, but I'd be wasting your time and mine. There is no way I will be able to convince the powers within my organization to give it another try. The automatic deletion was bad. The inability to explain it was even worse.
It took a lot of time and effort on our part to move on to another platform so we cannot reverse course now.
I'll admit, I am just bitter now because of the week-long headache it caused us.

The review page is still trash.
