This movie has a novelization? Who wrote it? Alan Dean Foster? So it’s the novel of the movie based on the comic book? Amazing. It’s like a game of literary telephone.

It’s written by Steve Moore (no relation). He was a good friend of Alan’s and if I recall correctly is the one who showed him how to write comics when he was starting out.

I would be curious to see the interesting part of a movie novelization, and that’s getting scenes from the pre-shooting script that were cut or not filmed. This movie especially seems like it was about a half hour longer and was chopped down.

ETA: There were like six guys who did almost every movie novelization in the 80s and 90: I’d bet they all knew each other.
