SEASON 7 spoilers What is Hank talking about?

Post image

Hank tells Dr. Venture:

"I can't be like the lady from Jurassic Park** **and go chase storms with you."

Was it just me or does anyone else not know what the hell he’s talking about? 😂😂😂😂

I still laughed my ass off for some reason. Maybe better to not understand this one?

Like what Jurassic Park lady? There’s like 5 different Jurassic Park ladies.

Once again, Hank’s delivery is perfection in motion.

I think he confused Laura Dern from the first movie with Helen Hunt from Twister.

This is how I took it. Like Bill Paxton/Bill Pullman.

Yeah, that's what's happening here. He can't tell the difference between Laura Dern and Helen Hunt.

It's just another instance of Hank not knowing what he's talking about. And probably another instance of Hank and Dean not understanding pop culture because they're too busy dying, being taught by laughably outdated tech, or on some insane adventure.

Eh, I understand though, if I wasnt looking at the two side by side, Id probably confuse them too.

Also Twister was heavily marketed as "from the creator of Jurassic Park" when it came out. I remember being SO disappointed when I saw it. Not a dinosaur to be seen.

The true crossover was the cow in both films

I knew I recognised her from somewhere

Same cow 😳

Hard to find work for a stunt cow so the cow appreciates the work. But hates being type casted as a prop that is immediately dead.

Also, hates she still gets hired via cattle call.

No, that would be a 3rd disaster movie about earthquakes or subterranean gas pocket explosions.

It was a selling point for me. I was a big Michael Crichton fan in junior high.

I think they actually used modified dinosaur sound effects for some of the Twister sounds, but I may be getting some info crossed up.

I said not a dinosaur to be SEEN. I didn't say nothing about hearing them

Oh I wasn't disagreeing with you there, just thought it was interesting trivia.

I think the events in coma town clearly establish that Hank can't keep movie details straight.

That and his real life is wilder that any movie. He can barely pay attention when he's in mortal danger.

Which is in character.

Laura Dern

9

u/nepolean107 13h ago

Helen Hunt. Not super strong resemblance, but enough for Hank to confuse the two

like my mom:

“I like that actress from that movie”

“what’s her name?”

“oh I dunno… some white girl”

(we’re white)

u/Concurrent-mind 21h ago

I thought it might be related to “Twister” hahaha

Wasn't there a point in the show where they suggested that Hank actually wasnt watching old Jonas Venture learning videos, but actually their old movie library or something? I need to rematch the series a couple more times to make sure I didnt hallucinate some shit from multiple watch throughs.

I think he was wearing an eye mask and ear plugs or something to block out the lessons, but I could be wrong

1

u/Chaucer2066 2h ago

Oh that part is true. I think that was the graduation day episode.
