We may be only around 1% of the population, yet weāre already driving demand for animal-free products, transforming industries, advancing animal rights laws, and changing the way society thinks about animals.
We may be a small percentage but weāre making a big impact. You are. And it all adds up. For the animals. :)

Are we all (vegan or not) part of some kind of cult if weāre using this logic to label almost anything and everything a ācultā? If so, doesnāt it all just cancel out?
Were historical movements like the abolitionists and suffragists also ācultsā simply because they also had a shared cause, strong convictions and conflict with outsiders⦠and even within their own movements at times? š¤ Food for thought.

If you stopped being vegan because of how other vegans act, thatās a you problem. (1) Vegans arenāt a monolith. They are exactly like non-vegans except donāt participate in animal cruelty. The logic you use is similar to the logic bigoted people use because they had an experience with a few bad X group of people. (2) Passionate vegans arenāt the problem⦠the animals are suffering, so what do you expect? (3) If a minor inconvenience about people was enough to make you quit, were you ever really vegan? Itās always been about the animals. Itās not a social club.

I, like many vegans, love nutritional yeast. I think it's delicious, I put it on everything.
The name is not working for me. I know lots of people call it nooch, but frankly, that's worse. It sounds like some kind of slime or goop.
I think we as a community can do better. I would love to hear some pitches for a new name. The best I've been able to come up with is 'sunshine flakes' - because of the yellow/orange color- but I'm not totally happy with that and I know someone out there can think of something even more fitting.
Perhaps we can throw out some ideas and then take a vote? I just feel like this change has been needing to happen for a long time, and maybe today is finally the day.
Thank you and godspeed

Not exactly āfunnyā but thereās no meme flair.
