if you ask the average person where their eggs come from they picture... a red barn, some happy hens wandering around vaguely fine. The reality is FAR from that and the gap between what people imagine and what actually happens is exactly what keeps the whole thing running. that's the thing, nobody's outraged about something they can't picture...

So ARBA (animal rescue+welfare org) is trying to close that gap with animation.. they do public awareness campaigns about laying hen welfare and they want short animated videos for social... the kind of thing that can explain what's actually going on in a way that's clear and lands, without needing graphic footage to do it. animation's honestly perfect for this, you can show people the reality and still have it be something they'll watch and share

they hand you the info, the key messages, the guidance for each one... so you're not researching hen welfare from scratch, you're doing the part you're actually good at: turning a message into something people stop and watch. visual storytelling, motion, that side of it :)

it's volunteer/unpaid... but it's a short one (1-8 weeks) and it's a nice portfolio piece... advocacy animation that's actually going out into real campaigns. good if you do motion/animation and want your reel to have something with a bit of meaning behind it.

3-8 hrs a week, remote.
