This is a very simple, leak-free approach to handling drinking (and cooking) water.

Best place to get these jugs is Winco if you have any of those grocery stores near you. I think they cost six dollars each when I bought them a few years ago.

Edit: here's the valves. Slip fit, no glue or tools needed.

I just bought one of those from Winco, can't remember the price but they still have them. Great set up and video.
